I realized my children are in their 20s and I have not yet shown them Highlander. I am a failure as a father. Hang on. They listened to Queen daily since birth so I am pretty awesome.
When you show this movie to your children, tell them women should also be immortal fighters and not only damsels in distress (from a huge fan of the movie who didn't question that part until she grew up)

This track and Who Wants to live forever, really hit the theme of the film, very well, espeically who wants to live forever because you can feel the weight of Conner's sadness at the fact his first wife has died and he has to go on living with no family to help him through his grief!

I’ll never forget hearing this song for the first time. Sounds weird, but it gave me hope when I was young. I was bullied a lot and I thought that I was destined to be bullied my whole life. But this made me want to stand up and fight back. It was the first time I felt that way. I still get chills listening to this song.
I feel like that. Was bullied, suicidal. My first roommate in the military loved this song... he'd play it to wake up every single morning, over 20 years ago now.
