Can we just take a second to appreciate this guy for literally just wanting to make a fan animation and then going all the way to working on the model for Shin Godzilla. Seriously that's like a 3d designers dream/miracle right there, keep up the amazing work man.

Then we have the the EXACT SCENE of junior roaring into the air after maturing like in godzilla vs destoroyah. And finally his white hot state looking somewhat similar to burning godzilla. To be honest I think the white beam is an ability passed from generation to generation since the first Godzilla has it the very first on the one from 1984

I absolutely love the design of Jr. He looks like a complete collection of Godzilla 1954, Late Heisei Godzilla, and a bit of millennium. Also the atomic breath turning white is probably my new favorite thing. I wish we could see more of this incarnation

Junior keep his father's legacy alive as the new protector of the earth. Would love to see Toho doing a full movie or a new era focusing on Junior, like meeting new allies and foes(a bit like what Showa and MCU Godzilla did)

This made me shed a tear. Miss playing the old "Godzilla Save The Earth" and "Destory All Monsters", watching the old movies with my dad. I really miss these days. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this.
I still play Save the Earth almost daily it don't get boring cause those CPU's on the hardest difficulty aren't a joke they mess me up, especially when Im going for the G Cell's.
Amazingly well done. I grew up with the heisei era. I cried when Godzilla melted down. To this day, Heisei Godzilla holds a special place in my heart. To see Jr not only survived and grew thanks to his father's sacrifice, but become so much stronger makes me want to explode with joy.
Is this a movie? Or some fan made thing? It looks like the Gigans are all cgi catoons! I'm a Showa fan all the way. Growing up in the 80's and 90's in the U.S that's all we got. When the later Godzilla movies came out the only one I liked was Final Wars because it could have been made in the Showa era if it had less CGI.
This was a REALLY good movie. I am 50 years ongoing in this body, and I grew up watching Godzilla, Spectre Man, Ultra Man, Grandizer, Goldar, G-Force, Gamera, Tranzor Z, Star Vengers and of course Voltron. Let me just say, you definitely capture the spirit of Godzilla and many of the shows I grew up on with this short movie. The sound effects, designs and music are all perfect to me
This version is ludicrously powerful, one atomic breath was enough to cause exceptional damage! Seems to be very strong and fast too. He's definitely the Gohan to Heisei's Goku. I hope we see him again!
I love how this keeps the classic Godzilla shot framing and style and then takes it up a notch with the CG... the character models are fantastic, especially Godzilla.
@@SilvaDreams that's what these things should move since they are filled with muscles. Not fat. You see shits they do like shooting lasers and massive chainsaws? It's gonna need so much strength for that. So it's not difficult to see why they can move so fast.

I like the bio-mechanical feel for the Gigans in this. It almost feels like an Angel from Evangelion. The weightless, almost balloon-like movements give it a really unnatural vibe that I like. It's a nice contrast to Godzilla's mountainlike mass

This... Simply this. This is what Godzilla is meant to be. ToHo, PLEASE give us more stuff like this. Also, picking up where the Heisei era left off and giving Junior a full film series is a GREAT idea.

Jr went from a helpless child to becoming the biggest chad Toho has ever made. Love how he looks like a hybrid between shin and heisei, my two favorites
It is absolutely insane how the first appearance and the first shout of Godzilla in every movie just brightens my face into a wide smile and almost makes me tear up for I can once again be the little boy that watches his hero fight. The clumsy movement, the beams, the suspension when two monsters just stand there shouting at each other, it all feels like the good old days. Thank you man, this video punched a hole into my depression.
for a film that's only six minutes long, this is incredibly well put together. The sound effects are both modern and nostalgic, and the animation is incredibly lifelike, almost like motion capture.
I forgot how powerful that moment was when Godzilla gave his energy to his son to revive him as he was dying. Literal chills... Glad to have you back Junior
This is canon to the Heisei timeline. No one can convince me otherwise. It was a shame Gigan never got a Heisei incarnation. So proud of Godzilla Jr. I hope his adoptive father somehow knows his son is not just a stronger kaiju but also a better friend to humanity then he ever was.

Also, in this short, the narrator mentions its been a quarter of a century since the og godzilla has died. 1995 plus 25 is 2020, roughly when this is supposed to take place. Not to mention Gemstones abilities being incredibly similar to that of Heisei's. One last thing, Requiem playing which was composed for GvD. Thats all the evidence so far, sorry for bad grammar, writing this in a rush
Sorry to spoil the good moments, I thought the same too. But this and vs Megalon has a lot of contradictions with the Heisei era that I don't think this is Jr. GEMSTONE Godzilla is more likely the Heisei Godzilla in an alternate universe. Anyways, here is why this is NOT Godzilla Jr, and it's more likely the Multiverse effect happening to the Heisei era: - Megumi Odaka herself said that the Heisei series ended with vs Destoroyah, so this would make it non-canon automatically - The sound effects used are probably just references that Takuya Uenishi liked to put in. It's like how MonsterVerse used the Oxygen Destroyer in KOTM. That does not make KOTM canon to the the 1954 film. Same logic applies here - For some reason, Jr's fully grown self didn't inherit his father's regeneration...(?) Durability, sure. But he collapsed in vs Megalon after his ray burnt him point-blank, which the original Heisei G didn't even flinch when his own ray was reflected at him by SpaceGodzilla. Which is strange, because even if he was adopted, they're still the same species. So... huh? - There are no maser tanks and mechas. Which is weird, cuz Mothra is still alive. Biollante's out there somewhere (only PART of her cells turned into SpaceGodzilla) And with humanity having had multiple Kaiju attacks within a decade, why would they suddenly get rid of their most valuable assets against Kaiju? Why tanks all of a sudden, like in this short? - In vs Megalon, there was a statement by a man where Godzilla applied atomic energy into his fists, a skill "never seen before." Which is utterly false, cuz Godzilla did this to SpaceGodzilla to overload him with energy, and MOGUERA was there to record the whole thing as well by G-Force. - And the 25 years... that is left ambiguous and vague in the context of this movie. vs Gigan Rex was originally meant as a sequel to G vs G, and G vs G could've happened 25 years ago in-universe. And we've seen Godzilla movies do giant time jumps like this, the most infamous being Destroy All Monsters being set in 1999 for some reason
I honestly love how the design of Godzilla in this short film is almost like an almagamation of all the previous Godzilla design, including some mild inspiration from Shin Godzilla in the head design and body texturing.
I love that we still get these passionate and incredible anniversary short films! Happy Godzilla day everyone! Also damn Junior is ginormous! What've they been feeding that kid?
I'll never forget crying at the ending of Godzilla vs Destroya over Jr's ordeal as a kid. Seeing him all grown up is gonna make me shed a tear again oml
How phenomenal! So this is Jr all grown up? Amazing... and it seems he has a burning mode of his own that he can control! When that ost played upon activation and the beam clash... it was the exact same that played when Heisei Godzilla suffered his meltdown. Jr truly has surpassed his father, taking his place as King of the Monsters.
That was sick and I love this Godzilla design. It brings together features from many different Godzillas over the years including a bit of Shin Godzilla, as well. It feels both retro and brand new in a very cool way
This is incredible. I love how they made it connect to the Heisei Era, this is Jr, the white beam and when they played requiem I legit started tearing up.
Same stranger, same 😭 when Requiem started to play I immediately started tearing up 😭 That was so fitting. Seeing Godzilla die in that film still brings me to tears after all these years... It was a beautiful movie to end the best era. While this short feels like a spiritual successor to it. Awesome short and worth the wait.
Junior... Your pops would be proud of you. This short film was amazing, the gigans are freaking phenomenal, and the Godzilla might just be one of my favorite designs ever shown. This short is absolutely glorious. Also freaking amazing the white atomic breath just made a return... It's been too long...
Honestly it reminded of some old small Godzilla toys I had of different colored burning Godzilla’s, with one of them being that exact white. This whole thing absolutely blew me away
This design of Godzilla seems to blend both the Heisei and Shin designs, I love it. We need to see more of this design, either in future films or in figure form.
this is what id imagine Shin Gigan would look like. i wish the Shin series continued and we got to see more hideous abomination versions of other godzilla monsters
I'd enjoy seeing more mini-movies like this to be made! The classic Godzilla movies have been awesome, but just watching the main plot of Godzilla vs some new kaiju threat has been refreshing. The animation here was also very pleasant as it had a nice mingle of looking like 3D animation combined with the kaiju suits themselves.
I love how the first Gigan seems so playfully curious about the jets. It reminds me of a dolphin following a diver. It completely effortlessly keeps up with the jet and seems more amused than overtly hostile
I hadn't exactly noticed it before, but the heat of Godzilla's beam at 4:48 is now so hot that it caused a Gigan Miles to violently ignite on contact. Several seconds earlier, one Gigan Miles could at least withstand being grazed by Godzilla's normal atomic breath, but they had no absolutely no chance of withstanding even a grazing of his powered-up atomic breath. The heat of Godzilla's white beam must be several times hotter than his blue beam, and I imagine Gigan Rex was just charred scrap when he fell back down to the ground.
Love it, following on from Heisei's end with Godzilla Jr becoming Godzilla, bringing back Miki, liked the redesigns and implementation of the buzzsaw bellies for the Gigans along with Gigan Rex's new blade. Fights were great and building destruction was amazing too. Great way to celebrate Gigan's 50th anniversary.
I love that Jr's got an enormous boost to power from Goji's burning mode's energy as seen with him seeming to have a version of it as his own and not only that did he gain a tremendous increase in size as seen in 2:40, Jr's easily 150+ meters tall ( he's 120m tall, am bad at math )when compared to the surrounding skyscrapers, potentially making him the 2nd tallest goji out there behind earth
10/10 great job, loved the nostalgic elements, and the mixing of different moves from every Godzilla into one Godzilla. The white beam was awesome two. Really hope for another Godzilla series from TOHO at some point. I loved this, thank you for the amazing work! 👍

本編が6分なんて信じられません60分以上の映画を見たような満足感で胸がいっぱいです。

未来からっていうのはアリだと思います。ギドラ世界線以外にも無数の分岐とバリエーションがありますから、そのどれかから送り込まれたとかでしょう
ゴジラを倒すだけなら街や自衛隊に積極的な攻撃を加える必要はないので、未来からして日本とこの時代のゴジラが邪魔だったんでしょうね
また赤いヤツがタイミング良く出てきたとこから見ても、敵さんはゴジラのことは知ってる。よって未来観測技術でも持ってない限り古代の怪獣兵器が蘇ったという線は薄そうです。
後はやっぱり宇宙なんですけど………ゴジラやゴジラに匹敵する超生物が毎年のように現れる星を誰が欲しがりますか？ よほど追い詰められでもしない限り外星人が来るとは思えないんですよね(案の定ぶっ飛ばされたX星人以下地球外生命体に黙祷)

ゴジラの強化を示す際に熱線の色が変わるのはウラニウムハイパー熱線やら赤色熱線やらでお馴染みだったけど、まさか初代ゴジラを彷彿とさせる白い熱線を以てそれを表すとは…恐れ入りました。冒頭から川北逆光をやってくれたり、全体的なフォルムの造形だったりと平成ゴジラファンの自分にこれでもかってくらい刺さる傑作です。ありがとうございます

着ぐるみで表現が難しかった表情なんかの細かい点を作りやすくなったのかな

個人的には、熱線のSEはVSモスラの時が好き。
あの作品だけVSシリーズで唯一熱線のSEが違うから新鮮味があった。
いつ見てもいつ聞いてもBGM、鳴き声、映像全てで鳥肌が立つ。ゴジラとウルトラマンとアニメのある日本に生まれて本当によかった！
青い光線が好きで、いかにもゴジラっぽいけど白の光線や白光りするゴジラもかっこよいね！
I love how this keeps the classic Godzilla shot framing and style and then takes it up a notch with the CG... the character models are fantastic, especially Godzilla.

The only negative thing I have to say is they move far too quickly and fluidly as if they have almost no weight to them.

最初の導入のシーンで、平成ゴジラのゴジラVSデストロイアでも劇中で使われた、先代ゴジラの命を継いだジュニアのシルエットのシーンがあります。
そう考えるとこれはジュニアと思わせるような演出ですね。
しかし、そうだとするとジュニアの強さは先代超えたと思わせるほどで身震いします。
ただ、威圧感は先代ゴジラの方が貫録あるかなとも個人的には思ってます。
まぁ先代はCGじゃなく生身の人が演じてる部分がほとんどだろうから、演技が説得力あるからかもしれませんが。
I like the bio-mechanical feel for the Gigans in this. It almost feels like an Angel from Evangelion. The weightless, almost balloon-like movements give it a really unnatural vibe that I like. It's a nice contrast to Godzilla's mountainlike mass

It is absolutely insane how the first appearance and the first shout of Godzilla in every movie just brightens my face into a wide smile and almost makes me tear up for I can once again be the little boy that watches his hero fight. The clumsy movement, the beams, the suspension when two monsters just stand there shouting at each other, it all feels like the good old days. Thank you man, this video punched a hole into my depression.

I like goofy Godzilla, I love serious Godzilla, but I adore weird Godzilla. It was great to see Jr. again.

for a film that's only six minutes long, this is incredibly well put together. The sound effects are both modern and nostalgic, and the animation is incredibly lifelike, almost like motion capture.

Also, in this short, the narrator mentions its been a quarter of a century since the og godzilla has died. 1995 plus 25 is 2020, roughly when this is supposed to take place. Not to mention Gemstones abilities being incredibly similar to that of Heisei's. One last thing, Requiem playing which was composed for GvD. Thats all the evidence so far, sorry for bad grammar, writing this in a rush
Sorry to spoil the good moments, I thought the same too. But this and vs Megalon has a lot of contradictions with the Heisei era that I don't think this is Jr. GEMSTONE Godzilla is more likely the Heisei Godzilla in an alternate universe. Anyways, here is why this is NOT Godzilla Jr, and it's more likely the Multiverse effect happening to the Heisei era:
- Megumi Odaka herself said that the Heisei series ended with vs Destoroyah, so this would make it non-canon automatically
- The sound effects used are probably just references that Takuya Uenishi liked to put in. It's like how MonsterVerse used the Oxygen Destroyer in KOTM. That does not make KOTM canon to the the 1954 film. Same logic applies here
- For some reason, Jr's fully grown self didn't inherit his father's regeneration...(?) Durability, sure. But he collapsed in vs Megalon after his ray burnt him point-blank, which the original Heisei G didn't even flinch when his own ray was reflected at him by SpaceGodzilla. Which is strange, because even if he was adopted, they're still the same species. So... huh?
- There are no maser tanks and mechas. Which is weird, cuz Mothra is still alive. Biollante's out there somewhere (only PART of her cells turned into SpaceGodzilla) And with humanity having had multiple Kaiju attacks within a decade, why would they suddenly get rid of their most valuable assets against Kaiju? Why tanks all of a sudden, like in this short?
- In vs Megalon, there was a statement by a man where Godzilla applied atomic energy into his fists, a skill "never seen before." Which is utterly false, cuz Godzilla did this to SpaceGodzilla to overload him with energy, and MOGUERA was there to record the whole thing as well by G-Force.
- And the 25 years... that is left ambiguous and vague in the context of this movie. vs Gigan Rex was originally meant as a sequel to G vs G, and G vs G could've happened 25 years ago in-universe. And we've seen Godzilla movies do giant time jumps like this, the most infamous being Destroy All Monsters being set in 1999 for some reason
I honestly love how the design of Godzilla in this short film is almost like an almagamation of all the previous Godzilla design, including some mild inspiration from Shin Godzilla in the head design and body texturing.

How phenomenal! So this is Jr all grown up? Amazing... and it seems he has a burning mode of his own that he can control! When that ost played upon activation and the beam clash... it was the exact same that played when Heisei Godzilla suffered his meltdown. Jr truly has surpassed his father, taking his place as King of the Monsters.

Honestly it reminded of some old small Godzilla toys I had of different colored burning Godzilla’s, with one of them being that exact white.

I'd enjoy seeing more mini-movies like this to be made! The classic Godzilla movies have been awesome, but just watching the main plot of Godzilla vs some new kaiju threat has been refreshing.
The animation here was also very pleasant as it had a nice mingle of looking like 3D animation combined with the kaiju suits themselves.

I love how the first Gigan seems so playfully curious about the jets. It reminds me of a dolphin following a diver. It completely effortlessly keeps up with the jet and seems more amused than overtly hostile

I hadn't exactly noticed it before, but the heat of Godzilla's beam at 4:48 is now so hot that it caused a Gigan Miles to violently ignite on contact. Several seconds earlier, one Gigan Miles could at least withstand being grazed by Godzilla's normal atomic breath, but they had no absolutely no chance of withstanding even a grazing of his powered-up atomic breath.
The heat of Godzilla's white beam must be several times hotter than his blue beam, and I imagine Gigan Rex was just charred scrap when he fell back down to the ground.
Enough to almost make me cry. It feels so surreal to see the Heisei era continued in this way…

Love it, following on from Heisei's end with Godzilla Jr becoming Godzilla, bringing back Miki, liked the redesigns and implementation of the buzzsaw bellies for the Gigans along with Gigan Rex's new blade. Fights were great and building destruction was amazing too. Great way to celebrate Gigan's 50th anniversary.
Love how we can get so much out of so little. 30 seconds in and you feel like you've invested a series worth of time.

I love that Jr's got an enormous boost to power from Goji's burning mode's energy as seen with him seeming to have a version of it as his own and not only that did he gain a tremendous increase in size as seen in 2:40, Jr's easily 150+ meters tall ( he's 120m tall, am bad at math )when compared to the surrounding skyscrapers, potentially making him the 2nd tallest goji out there behind earth
I cried when I realized it was Junior back after all these years!
This version of Godzilla still has mo confirmed Height, Length and Weight, But great guess.
It's actually confirmed he's 120 meters.

10/10 great job, loved the nostalgic elements, and the mixing of different moves from every Godzilla into one Godzilla. The white beam was awesome two. Really hope for another Godzilla series from TOHO at some point. I loved this, thank you for the amazing work! 👍
