Gumball is one of those shows that proves that modern animation is as good as old school animation, and it can get better with enough talent, love, and a good administration.
Well, it proves modern cartoons as "vigilantes" at start. Like Spiderman gets chased by the police in his first day of being a superhero. But it went popular now. But the problem is that Animation Altrocities (A.K.A. Nazi Party) is half away through the battle against good shows.
Even with the show that we grew up with was already on a weakspot or died in WW2 (or modern-cartoon era), both eras were great but not the bad ones.

I freaking loved the adult joke in the episode “The Shell” where Banana Joe is watching a video of someone peeling an orange. You immediately know what the joke is implying and it hits so fast that you just burst with laughter. Seriously, my sides hurt after watching that scene, I laughed so hard! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

One episode I really wish had been mentioned: The Question.
Gumball and Darwin ask many of their friends about what they think the meaning of life is, and find some really creative and different answers. The final reason (given by none other than Sussie) is simply “live your life the best way only you can”.
It’s a very funny episode with a really sweet ending and I wish it could have been mentioned.
My alternate title for The Question would be:
The Meaning of Life Is...?

The Amazing World of Gumball is truly a creative, fun, and inspiring masterpiece of animation and hilarity. It's a series that puts a smile on my face with incredible episodes like "The Console", as a fan of JRPGs I really enjoyed this episode and I love watching again and again. I also love the song at the end of the episode "The Compilation", it's message is beautiful and insightful.😊
My favorite episode has always been "The Job" purely because of how ridiculously insane it gets... over Richard delivering a pizza

I love how, in every video, Strider’s voice and movements are just so full of passion and emotion. Instead of mechanically saying his words and purposefully over exaggerating his TH-camr persona, he just embraces all the feelings of what his channel is all about and seems to enjoy every step of the way. And yet, he still also manages to make everything funny and entertaining as we feel and see with him. And through ALL THIS, he still manages to also respect his audience and their opinions instead of inadvertently bashing their opinions. Strider does this all by just being and trying. And that’s why PhantomStrider is my literal #1 favorite TH-camr. Because he is so much more than just a TH-cam film critic.
I can see the DHMIS episode to be the spiritual sequel to DHMIS.

The Faith will always be my favorite episode. Most of it just seems like another typical Gumball episode, but when Gumball and Darwin find Alan towards the end, it really turns into a beautiful and heartwarming episode. The overall message about not giving up even when times are tough or when the world is a complete mess is very inspiring to me.
My alternate title for The Faith would be:

to be honest, my favourite episode(s) are...
the disaster/rerun, because it's the first time rob tries to really destroy everything, and gumball fights for his life to save everyone that means everything to him: penny, his parents, darwin. not to mention the fourth wall breaks as well.

Ok, I haven't seen all that many Gumball episodes, but I still have so much respect for it, it's such a wonderful show. As it turns out, Nicole has always been my favourite character. I love mother characters, as well as the fact that she and I share a name, but she just really sticks out to me, I love how she's a strong and protective mother, but I never knew much about her backstory, and that was always something I wished to know. I hadn't seen The Parents and The Choices, but now I'll be watching them for sure, they seem like brilliant episodes.

*The Puppets* - What surprises me the most is that there are a number of people who only consider this episode to be average at best. I thought it to be a great episode because the first and second acts built up nicely and coherently to the third act and obvious highlight - the three-minute puppet scene.
*The Shippening* - For how cynical Gumball gets, it never becomes unnecessarily mean-spirited. Well, not towards the subject matters or topics in question. In the case of this episode, it's the same thing. It acknowledges the over-the-top and often self-contradictory nature of shipping in a gleeful and appropriately overblown manner, and without coming off as an unabashed attack to the people who partake in it.
*The Money* - An excellent commentary on consumerism, the lethal necessity of money in everyday life and the apt application of the notion in the context of animation. I can't think of any other show to handle such a subject matter like an expensive series like Gumball, and lo and behold, that was EXACTLY Ben Bocquelet's intention from the beginning. The mad, bloody genius.
*The Copycats* - The points made for the aforementioned Money and Shippening apply here. It is a commentary on originality and plagiarism, using the existence of a shameless Chinese knockoff of the series as the lens through which to push the commentary, and an EXCELLENT commentary at that. And like The Shippening, it doesn't come off as vindictive, despite the daring and bold humor employed by the episode.
*The Tape* - What often gets lost on the fanbase for the show, especially those who got into the show at a later date, is that the first two seasons wonderfully captured the essence of childhood. This episode is the epitome of that, capturing the eccentricities of the show through the viewpoint of two 12 year-old kids having a good time in a tongue-in-cheek and rather meta manner.
*The Shell* - Gumball and Penny are one of the best couples in fiction because they defy the hackneyed pitfalls of romance _in_ fiction. They act like an actual couple, a surprisingly foreign concept to many a creator, and their setbacks are external as opposed to internal. The Shell is the apex of both this principle and an ongoing debate on both the direction of their relationship and Penny's true identity under her shell. The episode is rightfully grandiose, emotionally heavy, and triumphantly gratifying, proving that subverting the Status Quo can be and is beneficial to a show's longevity.
*The Weirdo* - I personally am not the biggest fan of this episode because of the black-and-white approach it took towards its subject matter and the fact that it put Gumball and Darwin's perfectly valid stance on the matter in the wrong. A topic of interest this...well, interesting _cannot_ be explored in a shallow manner, which is a shame for Gumball because it gave us the _excellent_ episode called _The Downer_ . I still adore the musical number and juvenile artstyle, though, and its admirable intentions.
*The Console* - The best parodies are the most faithful ones, and this episode is exactly that. A parody that faithfully replicates JRPG's, especially _Final Fantasy_ , to the point where it can pass off _as_ a JRPG. Not much needs to be said here. I will not be surprised if Cartoon Network spawn an RPG spin-off of Gumball as a mobile app, but hopefully not a microtransaction-filled catastrophe.
*The Night* - Definitely a bizarre episode, but a good kind of bizarre, with each individual scene showcasing the quirks of each character. Daisy's dream is definitely disconcerting, but Sussie's one is PURE GOLD. There basically is no fourth wall in the show at this point. And I love it!
*The Choices* - One of the greatest episodes of Gumball, along with The Shell, and one of the greatest in all of animation. The Choices hits many high notes, both familiar and unfamiliar. The Watterson family bond is one of the best aspects of the show, and the episode takes it to a whole new level. Despite being a backstory for Nicole, it reveals so much about multiple aspects of the family, between the start of her relationship with Richard, the circumstances of their marriage and how their family came to be. The three-minute montage is one of the most breathtaking to ever come from a cartoon, let alone an animated series averaging at eleven minutes in length per episode. The episode borrows from the best of animated cinema and gives it its own unique interpretation completely in line with the spirit of the show as a whole. This is Ben Bocquelet drawing from what he personally knew. The Wattersons are essentially caricatures of his family, and their experiences were most likely his own experiences, too. By creating something for himself, _as_ himself, a human being, he's connected with his audience, his fellow humans, in a way like no other, including myself, with this episode DIRECTLY speaking to me on a personal level, and most likely other viewers with similar experiences. He realized that the best stories ever told are not the ones that one necessarily put the most effort in, but the ones that one knows best. If nothing else, that is why The Choices is the animated crown jewel it is. The Choices is an experience. An _unforgettable_ experience. And it indeed puts the amazing in _The Amazing World of Gumball_ .

The scene in the Choices showing how Richard and Nicole's relationship grew over time reminds me of the scene from Up (we all know the one) in both the choice of music and the emotions felt throughout the scene. That scene alone was probably one of the best in the entire series.

I recently started watching Gumball after seeing this video. I 100% agree with The Choices as your #1 pick. During the montage of Nicole and Richard's relationship, I started to tear up because it felt so real. I'm hoping to become an author and something that frequently appears in my writing is how each little thing has meaning and affects the here and now. The episode was moving and beautifully written. Thanks for getting me into this series!!

I recommend the episode "The Sale" it's about Darwin and Gumball obsessing over the fact that Mr Robinson is moving out, so they do everything and anything they can to stop the buyers from buying the house. It's weird, It's goofy, and I love it. I also love the episode "The Safety". Basically just Darwin becoming a Karen and trying to make everyone safe. It's adorably weird. I recommend.

Hi! I got a suggestion: Darkest or/and Creepiest episodes of Gumball
The fact that these episodes are weird and PhantomStrider elaborated on how the other half of these episodes on this list (except for The Money because of how wasted its animation REALLY is although outside of that, it is an insightful episode) makes Gumball a very clever, insightful, loveable show.

I have to agree with "The Choices". That was an episode that actually made me a wee might teary-eyed. Had a big impact on me, which IS NOT easy to do.
The episode probably really had this level of effect on me because not only is my name also Nicole, but all of her answers to Richard in his "why" line of questioning are answers I gave as the episode played for the first time...even "so people will like me".
If you've been conditioned all your life to feel like you have to win; like you have to be perfect, to be the best, then it really has a lasting effect--even into adulthood. I'm almost 30 and STILL have a lot of "I have to be perfect at this." In college, I used to "punish" myself for scoring anything under 100% on anything (from tests the final grade itself) by not eating or drinking anything other than water or allowing myself any "fun" (read: no video games, no internet, no reading, no music, no TV) for a solid week.
The weird thing is, my parents weren't even like that. They are laid-back, old-school hippies. I don't know where I get this, but it's been like this since I was a small child.
