Nice, the only kickstarter i backed last year :D [it really helped that they offered a deal without having to pay extra VAT for Europe]

Thanks for this video! I backed it but was still curious about some details. This helped a lot.

I’m really excited for this game…for its weight, I think it’s my most anticipated this year

I dont quite get, why the central board does not have the numbers 1-11 printed on them (on the sides). This would make it easier/faster to find the correct field.
Also for 2 player it could work quite well, as in year of the dragon, to just know all events in advance. Then it would be perfect information and should still work.
The game looks really interesting, and also like a game which is quite "stable" for playing it wrong or also to making small adaptions. (Like changing the bidding option in 2 players, etc.)

Not played the game but after watching playthrough the only big issue I saw was the situations in 2 players where clearly somone doesnt want to lose their city to an opponent's farm.
I wonder if for 2 players if each player was dealt say 2 or 3 random cards at the beginning of the game with a resource requirment on them which they could keep secret. And if a single auction ever triggers the conditions on this card any player instead of bidding can reveal the card to completely discard the auction and no player gets the card or the resources. This could add a little bit of caution and double jeopardy to those situations where clearly I don't want my city to die so I'm gonna just have to pay you everything until you take the card. If you really want it that bad you better take it sooner rather than later because if 7 resources build up then BAM nobody gets it and we lose everything and move on.
Only issue I see here would be that it would remove resources from the game altogether. So perhaps the card also could state each player gains a certain number and type of resource(s) to counteract this.
Again no idea if this would work as never played but the game looked awesome and the only thing putting me off buying it was this 1 issue.
