Amateur here. I recently bought a well used 5D Mark II to learn a full frame camera. I was thrilled you were using a 5D for this video. I wish I had the IV but it is what it is. Great job and thanks for all the settings and explaining how you did all this.

Hey up , I first tuned into your channel to learn a bit about sport photography ( being a new starter ) , now you gone all landscape !!!! Lol . I tried my hand at our local Malton RUFC match and came away with some shots but found it so hard ! . The pace of the game and change of light etc . Anyway , very pleased to see you switching to other interests , I to had a walk down Spurn to practice my long exposure stuff having followed the very informative Gary Gough vlogs . I picked the most freezing cold day ever so I didn't try as hard as I wanted . Saying that , I loved the venue and need to go back to try harder .

Great Mark, very special image black and White most of others do first in color and in Lightroom or other progs they make it black and White for more contrast they say but this look briljant, thanks for posting this great video

    Mark a lovely calming vlog.
I've never been to that area until calling on a customer the other week. Its right at the extremity of my patch.
Went to pub called the Crown and Anchor at Kilnsea. Lovely spot
I fancy walking to the point and back at some point. Guess you've gotta be careful with the tide?
    Glad the camera survived!
    Keep up the vlogging

Haha, was going to say “Thanks Ivor” but not actually sure that’s your name🤣
Thanks for watching anyway. It’s nice to get comments on my nine sports videos. I do love getting out for a landscape shoot when not on the sport job. I’m heading out tomorrow as it goes, try and grab some autumn frames in the woods. Also be back at the beach soon too all being well👍🏻

Great video Mark. I use the Pro 200 which is also an excellent printer.

I often wonder how many bloggers actually do any printing, so it was so nice to watch you getting excited when your picture came out of your printer, plus the fact that it had a 5 pixel black line around the picture which finished it off to perfection, I always put a 5 pixel line around my prints when I used to print, I still do the odd print and and its a great feeling to know everything is your own work! Thank for sharing your time with us.....

really enjoyable video, thanks. I do prefer the images that have a bit of movement on the waves. I was always told to shoot in colour and then change to monochrome in post-processing but your images look great.

Thanks for watching👍🏻 When shooting in raw on the canon it still uploads in colour. It’s helpful to view the image on the screen in b&w which I like

Great shots Mark, love the long exposure coastal images. The gnarly old groins make a great subject.

Thanks Martin. It’s a subject I must shoot more often! So nice listening to the sea wash in, very calming. Hope you’re keeping well mate👍🏻

There's a 400 2.8 laying around somewhere in a case, would make great b roll lens on a 1dx. Would more likely make a dent in the ground if it falls over but only issue you have to walk a long long way to be in focus and then have to walk back to collect!!

Let’s get this new 400 vlogging lens sorted then mate🤣

What a great video! Never thought of long exposure seascapes during the day, believe or not! I did photograph Manhattan over East River at night (Manhattan reflects in the smooth-as-glass East River and, if clouds are low, in the clouds as well during long exposures) but this is completely different, will definitely try it.
    A few questions:
    1) How did your tripod fare in the sand? I imagine if sand gets inside the legs it will be hell to get it out and tripod may just lock up. I own CF Manfrotto tripod with flip locks.
    2) What about tripod and salt water? Do you disassemble and wash it in clean water afterwards?
    3) Camera/lenses in close proximity to sand/salt water. Any tips on what to do or not to do? I.e. don't change lenses?
    4) What could you have done to avoid tripod with your vlog camera tripping over (attach some weight to the center column?)? I want to learn from your mistakes 😁
    5) Audio in the in-studio section is unbalanced - much higher level from the left channel.

Hey Mark, specifically for sports photography, do you ever get eye fatigue from shooting for such long periods of time and is there anything you do to try and combat it?
    Thanks

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi Ethan. Not really any fatigue as such. Might feel a bit tired after the game but no real affects during the game. Too busy to think about that, ha!
