    Love the black & white minimalist look, prefer the 1st image, much more detail on the wood with contrast. The square cropped image is fab.

      Thanks Debbie. I’m really enjoying the seascapes at the moment whilst it’s tricky in the woods! Definitely be back on the coast again soon for more LE’s👍🏻

      Thanks Josh, you’re already on a second video of mine, brilliant and thanks. I am quite getting into seascapes at the moment with it being quite difficult in the Woodlands at present. Long exposures are so much fun! You never quite know how they’re going to turn out! Thanks for watching Josh👍🏻

      Thanks for watching Matthew. Me too, definitely going to head down the coast a lot more for some monochrome photography. Just like in the Woodlands, I find it quite relaxing.

    Ist image for me. Not a fan of long exposure with water BUT ... the groynes seemed to be hidden in a mist. For some strange reason, I found it easier to follow the lines from left to right rather than right to left. Preferred the 1st one to the final shot. I wanted my imagination to think about where the end was, rather than showing it. Great vlog again Mark, so easy to listen to.

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Steve, I really like the way the second image came out nice and fluffy with the waves crashing against the groynes. Definitely be back for another go soon👍🏻

    Thanks for that Mark, excellent stuff again..its that old photography adage , keep it simple..always seems to work and produce great shots..I liked them all but if I had to pick one it would be the last with the square crop and sky..I like the posts breaking the horizon and a bit more space around the groynes ..

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Martin. Yes, definitely like the square crop the best, a real nice leading line to that marker post on the horizon. Might try it from the left hand side next time perhaps once the tide has gone out a bit further making the marker post a bit more prominent perhaps. Loving the seascapes at the moment, nice and relaxing. Thanks for watching mate👍🏻

    Great photographs Mark. I liked the first one, I think, because maybe it reads left to right intuitively (nothing wrong with the other one though!). Square crop was great - something very stable about square format.

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching Pete. Yes, it is really interesting which direction our eye follows on various images. Not really sure which one or if any are the correct way? I always read left to write like a book book I know there are many that don’t. Thanks for watching mate

    Top pic only thing I can say for me is that little bit sticking out in between the groins keeps drawing the eye in

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Carl. Yes, that small damaged groyne did annoy me a bit too! I nearly cloned it out but decided to leave it in the end. Thanks for watching👍🏻

    Nice work Mark. I loved image 2 but might have taken out the wee bit of wood on it's own at the bottom right. But, who am I to tell you!
    I'm now following @23martian - he's got some lovely stuff too.

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Chris. I nearly cloned out that small damaged groin but decided to leave it in in the end, as it was part of the overall scene. Perhaps a tighter angle might of worked a bit better? I’ll be back there soon for another go👍🏻
