    Good vlog Mark - I particularly like that you leave enough time to look at each shot - not all videographers do that and I think it works well...

      Thanks for watching John. Great that you noticed I leave the images on long enough for you to check them out. Like you, I find that some guys images flash by before you’ve had time to really study them. Really pleased you noticed that. Thanks for watching John👍🏻

    Absolutely stunning images overall. I thought the Vlog ended at the minimalistic shot on its own after the first groin shots. As I had a queues Vlog to watch. Went back and watched all of it. Beautiful shots .

    Excellent vlog Mark..I felt your frustration..which is very true to life with photography I think, nearly always having to make compromises..I really liked the more head on shots for some reason..especially the last but one 15.12 ..loved the dark shadows and the real rustic, barnacled eroded groins ..good work mate, keep it up..

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Martin👍🏻 Sometimes you can’t help but get frustrated! I knew what I wanted but felt a bit up against it. Turned out ok in the end but will defo be back for another go! Thanks for watching mate

    Beautiful images again Mark. I would have removed the signs in the groins, but not everyone favours removal from the scene edits. Lovely work. Keep the uploads coming.

      Thanks Richie. You know, when I stood finding a nice composition those signs did really annoy me but like you say, they are part of the overall scene so I thought I would leave them in👍🏻

    Well done for attempting to vlog from the prom end at Sunny Hunny mate! Surprised you kept hold of your gear 😂 The one that worked for me (not that even close to being qualified to have an opinion on this type of work!) is the shot at 10:50. I think that one achieved what you were after.

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jamie. Yep, that’s my fave too👍🏻 It’s getting that gap before the subject that is key isn’t it! I’m a total novice at this minimalist stuff but do get the basics. All in all, another enjoyable seascape session. Good to be out our comfort zone, just like you said last week in your vlog. Thanks Jamie👍🏻

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching Debbie. Mono is definitely best I agree with you there. Nice to see the odd one in colour but mono suits them doesn’t it.👍🏻

    Hi Mark, thanks for another great video, I don't know how you do it, all the different angles, walking to and away from the camera and the drone footage also, you put a lot of work in to give us an Amazing video to watch, you do make it look effortlessly, thank you Pete 👍🏻

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah thanks Pete, really appreciate that. Apart from the tide it’s very relaxing on the coast, I’m getting quite hooked on the seascapes at the mo. Although, I’ve noticed the odd tree shedding leaves so autumn isn’t far away now. Thanks Pete👍🏻

    It's like the metal frame is standing on the beach... ;-) great images, but i'm not a huge fan of monochrome in landscape photography :-)

    • @MarkKerton

    I had exactly the same problem when I was there earlier this year. I love the one that you showed at 10:45 that works really well as you have the gap bottom left

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s my fave too Paul. These minimal frames defo need space all the way around the subject. A really enjoyable session none the less! Thanks for watching👍🏻

    Hi Mark , I'm now watching this a year on but still thought it worth a comment . Fantastic venue with loads of opportunities but just a bit far away from North Yorkshire for a day trip !! . I've had 2 visits now to Spurn and really loved practising my long exposures ( sure I could go back another 20 times and find something new ) , as to your question monochrome or colour ? , I thought my own images were much nicer in colour because I became so focused on the metal rust , wood tones and the sky so never tried black / white . Having looked at your images I can now see that the monochrome really does add another level of simplicity / fine art , in some ways the colours are too distracting . I need so much more practice and experimentation . Thanks so much for another interesting vlog , I've followed your journey from sport to landscape and learned along the way . Cheers .

    Great frames Mark, they work really well, I particularly liked the ones straight down the middle as it became harder to see the pattern the further away :-)

    Thanks Mark. Mono much better than colour. Not sure if I missed it. What filters were you using? Polarizer but 10stop? I ask because of your use of f22. Could you have gone down to iso50 and moved to f16. A 6 or 10 stop would have got a better appature. I am just interested in your thought process..

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching Ben. I started off with the 10 stop filter and then towards the end of the session popped on the CPL too. I must start using iso50!

      Hi Mark, I would chose b&w over color for groynes. Why ? Colors tend to show more imperfections from the groynes. What do youcthink ?

    • @MarkKerton
      @MarkKerton  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@steveparent8788 Yeh, very true Steve. Much prefer the mono style too. Great point too on the imperfections when in colour👍🏻
