Mark, was great to meet you on Monday, standing on your left and enjoying the time. Best regards to Steve, we had a nice conversation. Just found your channel with great content. 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing.
As retired army soldier from cold war: I love it! Danke schön! …. Our good old Tornados fighting bombers get / got new radar warn systems from Saab up2 2025 and the terrain following radar allows an extreme low flying under the enemy radar. Nowadays cruise missiles do the work.
Thanks Darren. Such a shame the grass was so long and we didn’t have more space to spread out at the front of the fence but made the best of a bad job! We will see what Monday brings and if they have cut the grass over the weekend, but, I think they will be doing other things than cutting grass for us spotters👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah, you'll just have to make do with the surroundings, after all, as you know, it is a military airbase not a airshow. If you decide to take the steps with you take a towel or something similar to put on the runner that your thighs might dig in to, nothing worse than your thighs hurting because you're leaning into the ladder while you're on there filming over the other people.
Never heard of you before air defender in schleswig/jagel. After i was taking some photos there youtube thought it was a good idea to show me your videos. And you are also into sports photography like me. I watched many of your soccer videos, keep up the good content! Maybe i see you on monday.
Good stuff mate.. know what you mean about the ladders!.. Same some years ago at KB. No ladders they said, yet loads turn up with them, know one said owt and we end up with hardly any shots.. Well pissed off!
Hi Mark - Saw you doing your bit to camera on Friday and Monday, left you alone. Noted your grass ocmment. The grass is left to grow to stop flocks of bords landing, causing bird strikes... this is common across Europe, where in the UK we use bird scarers. Abit of trivia for you!
@@MarkKerton Glad you mentioned 'laddergate' - it was mad on Friday... but we had a chat with the guy heading the event up and he agreed and then put in a patrol for Monday to bring the ladders back, so that more could access the front... it was quieter Monday, so I think all got better access. Hope you enjoyed it... Drive or fly? We drove 660 miles there, over 13 hours... worth every mile!
Yes, it was good to see the stewards marshalling the ladders and keeping things in order. We flew from Billund into Heathrow. Then 4hrs home. Definitely worth every mile for sure. Make sure to come and say hi next time Clive👍🏻
looks like the new thing is who can take the biggest ladders. Would make more sense for those with ladders to shoot from further back. Didn't the Fairford park and view use to have a section for those with ladders and one for those without?
never done something with spotting and photos before XD ma friend told me to pass allong with him to ntm and ila and so on for 4 days, been best 4 days of my life XD we also wanted to get to denmark but as you said, cancelled
I have a Question about our Tornado. If the Luftwaffe (GAF) replace the Tornado and get the F35, is it also a two seat Cockpit or only one seat? What happens with all the electric what we got in the ERC?
Absolutely fantastic video first and foremost. Bloody makes my blood boil that the RAF squadron order prevents the reforming of 74 Sqn as a fighter Sqn when we no show at these events with jets. It further annoys that these other countries invent Tiger units just to attend. The UK is one of the founder nations of the Tiger meets and yet we have to watch this year on year 😡
Cheers Stewart. 1000% better today, we made it to the front🤣 Seriously though, they must have listened as the flying and taxiing is so much better. Nice to see the AV8’s I bet, jealous 👍🏻
My Grandad was a Luftwaffe soldier from the 60's-80's and just managed to see the start of the Tornados service. Still loves the plane!
Absolutely top video Mark. It is absolutely great to watch.Thank you!!!
Thanks Michael, really appreciate that👍🏻
Excellent stuff, great to see the Tornado, one of my favourites.
Thanks Stephen👍🏻 Yes, the best jet, great to see the Tornado again
Excellent work! Very good sound and especially very good and quality shots!
Good close-up shots all things being equal...
Grand job overall. Be well and stay safe
Thanks Guy. We really enjoyed the close taxis, the crews went out their way to please us all👍🏻 Thanks for watching👍🏻

Thank you for watching👍🏻 So good that the GAF are keeping up with the servicing and keeping the mighty Tornado in the air👍🏻

Quality video Mark.

What lens(es) did you use for filming? I dont want to take all of my gear on monday.
24-70mm
70-200mm
400mm with build in TC (560mm)
180-600mm??
OK now i have watched the video. 70-200 and 400. Thank you!
@@MarkKerton The high grass is for safety (Bird Strikes) reasons. Flock birds avoid areas where there cant see each other.
Great to see more aviation and some cracking aircraft on display
Thanks Al. More to come next week👍🏻
@@MarkKertongreat to look forward to
wow, awesome ... military livery

Thanks Martin, appreciate your support👍🏻 Great to be back at Jagel again
Come say hi on Monday👍🏻
I miss them, living in the UK, just as I do the Jaguars. Norfolk hasn't sounded similar since. 😕
Are you likely to produce some sort of editing workflow of your aviation shots and or how you go about setting up your camera for aviation ?
Hi Joe. Definitely can yes, great video idea👍🏻
Good stuff mate.. know what you mean about the ladders!.. Same some years ago at KB. No ladders they said, yet loads turn up with them, know one said owt and we end up with hardly any shots.. Well pissed off!

Ahhhhhhhh right, that explains it then👍🏻 We thought it may attract more birds for nesting and be a hazard or fire hazard too maybe?

That’s it Kev. I had tiny foot steps and was right at the back! Monday was much better controlled luckily.

brilliant of pilots to slow or stop for photos...kudos to polish viper jock...awesome pilot...loved his...oops late better zoom taxi lol
He was fantastic and gave us a great show on his taxi back.
Awesome video. The Polish pilot is brilliant
Thanks Marco👍🏻 yes, he was fantastic. Highlight of our day
I have a Question about our Tornado. If the Luftwaffe (GAF) replace the Tornado and get the F35, is it also a two seat Cockpit or only one seat? What happens with all the electric what we got in the ERC?
F35 is a single seat and the pilot has control of everything, weapon systems included. Thanks for watching👍🏻
😊😊😊
The fish heads could have mown the lawn...😂
Apparently it’s to prevent bird activity!? I thought it would attract nesting birds but not the case!
Lynx is still flying ?!
It sure is, German Navy still operating them. What a lovely paint scheme this one was too👍🏻
26:10 min Oh my god, Swiss cheese can fly... 😳🧀
Swiss cheese🤣 Nice to see them here

Great colours too👍🏻
Nice mate shame about all the idiots on ladders standing by a fence 🙄 glad I didn’t go now 😂

suprised no RAF there our tiger schemes rock
Criminal isn’t it! We don’t have a tiger squadron anymore unfortunately, a great shame!
Что б тут ни показывали атомная бомба решит всё
Danger, Danger, that grass is to long.. 💥♨️
Too right! Could so easily go up with a spark or tyre burst🤷🏻♂️
