Shine Armor has banned me on Facebook for pointing out that you should not wipe dirty panels with a MF because, as demonstrated, it'll just scratch the paint.
Thank you so much for this! I'm always bombarded with ads on Facebook for these three products and can't believe how many people fall for it. I'm happy to try new products and brands but when they spend more money on marketing than researching the product, I tend to steer clear.
Thanks for the video, but that is the first version of TLC. Not TLC2. Big difference in the formulas. TLC2 comes in a clear bottle, clear-ish formula, black sprayer.
seanissomething lol we just messaged him on IG and offered him that. Happy to do so. There are a lot of torture tests on YT (apex did one) showing the upgraded formula. But ya no problem sending Sandro one, it’s a very different formula.
The Last Coat it’s good to see a company that is prepared to go back to the drawing board to get their product right and put their money where their mouth is👍🏻
LSD thanks for that. Much appreciated, the second version was released in August 2019, lots of people have really liked it. But we are always looking to improve where we can. Thanks again. 👍🏼

@@gregstone3877 Jesus, if I had to put 4 lays of a product on with 24 hours between each coat, I’d get a better quality sealant... I’m a professional detailer and Nova Jet is what I use on almost every car, it’s phenomenal and only requires a single quote and only 2 hours to cure. You’re putting in way more effort than you need to!
We purchased the JET and my husband applied it to one of our car's. Thank you for the review. He has used F11 it was given to him last October. He likes how it goes on fast. The Nova JET did take a little longer to apply. It makes the color of the car really nice. He has a little of the F11 left over he is going to apply it to half the hood of the other car we have and apply JET to the other side to do his own test.
An honest no bullshit test of relentlessly pushed products. Ease of use is nice but if your car is worth the effort then its a no brainer. I love your reviews sandro. I also love the fact that you dont try to push products or influence people. Keep up the awesome videos. I have learned alot from just watching your videos so thankyou.
This is absolutely excellent! I love the "waterless car wash" test at the beginning that totally debunked any of the products as one. I knew people were destroying their paint with these products. I plan to post the link to this video in the comment section of every ad I see. Thank you, Sandro!
Ironically as im watching the waterless wash part of this test, an F11 commercial cuts in saying you can use it as a waterless wash and it won't scratch lmao.
Not to be confused with rinseless washing with something like Optimum No Rinse which when used properly seems to actually be a great product and is in the product arsenal of most detailers
Some of these product videos started to appear on my newsfeed on facebook. I really had hard time understanding the difference between them and was wondering if I can see pros and cons of these. This is exactly what I was looking for, a true comparison of all of these without imposing your own opinion and actually showing us their performance so that we can make our own decision. Thanks alot!
So I bought into the last coat because of pan the organizer about a year ago. It was nice on the paint at first but didn’t last that long. Overall it wasn’t a huge problem because I use so many other hydrophobic toppers. Since I had so much left I switched to using it to spray on the wheels when wet rinse off. This is where my love hate relationship started. It absolutely looks amazing on wheels and does and excellent job resisting brake dust. However it’s chemical resistance is horrendous. One spray of any diluted cleaner and it’s gone.
I've been using Shine armor for a while and I find the car benefits from repeated application of the product, as I'm sure all products will. I've ordered some TLC so keen to see how that goes. Thanks for the great review. And yes, none of these products should be sprayed onto a dirty surface and wiped off, that's just going to cause swirls and scratches no matter what, so that just shouldn't be advertised as an option.
Sandro, thanks very much for doing this video. Finally a quality review on these products. As I thought they are nothing but snake oil salesmen. I've only really been I to detailing for a couple of years now and must admit I bought Hydrosilex in my early days before I knew anything detailing. I never used it till about 3 months ago just to get rid of it. It lasted only one wash and was outperformed EASILY by 303 Touchless Sealant which I use when I'm in a rush. I will post this vid on each and every ad I see on FB from now on. Thanks bud. Great work as always.
Thank you, very well done and informative video. It's nice to see an unbiased well put together demonstration, gives consumers a side by side indication of how well each product performs under various conditions.
Fantastic product review!!! Thanks! I had just purchased Shine Armor today, haven't opened it or used it yet. Based upon your review, however, it'll be going back to the store and I'll be ordering The Last Coat for a comparable price to Shine Armor. Nova Jet, for double the price, appears to outperform all so if money is no object, Nova Jet appears to be the winner.
Thank you! I very much appreciate the detailed review which did not come across as a sales pitch for any of the products. Was doing my due diligence after seeing a Shine Armor ad on FB. Had to weed through folks going on and on about how amazing it was for several minutes without actually demonstrating it. Found your video which was a breath of fresh air.. Would have bought Nova Jet, but it was sold out.. Bought The Last Coat instead based on your video alone. Cheers!
I bought two Shine Armour bottles for $32.00. For the price, I figure it does good in comparison to the other products and reasonably priced. Besides, I'm not taking my GT Mustang to a car show nor driving in acid rain. All I want is to have a shiny finish and somewhat repel bugs from sticking to my finish, making cleaning a bit easier. The only drawback is, it takes over six weeks to have it delivered via mail.
Great comparison video with these products. The Last Coat and Nova Jet were the top two performers in these tests. Another test needs to be done due to the fact that The Last Coat came out with another version V2 and Top Coat F11 came out with F11 Pro.
Topcoat F11 is a polydimethylsiloxane, or type of silicone oil but water based. It is not a polish or sealant...and when water or soap is applied to it, it will wash off your vehicle. Many shampoos use it to make hair shiny and slippery. This is NOT an automotive product, and no respectable detailer would ever use or recommend it. Nice Video!
I see these products so much on instagram that it definitely gets tempting to buy. I'm glad you did this video to really get a more in depth look at these products among an already proven product. Big ups to you for this one Sandro!
I've used F11, Shine Armour and NanoIce. I think the shine armour is best, then nano ice, and then f11. All of them seemed to provide a high shine and hydrophobic properties, however
i can't believe how detailed and proven all of this videos man thank you so much for the effort you put into each video and thank you so much sharing your experience with us
If you follow F11 instructions, DON'T USE SOAP, and put on at least 4 coats with 24 hours between coats, F11 does what it says it will do. Only use soap if you want to remove F11 for paint repair. initial coats you start to see and feel the difference. Now I just rinse with water every week or two and dry. Then buff with clean microfiber towel to bring out shine. I put another coat of F11 on every month or two when water beading gets weak. I've used about a quart of F11 since Aug 2017 on my 2017 F250 and it still looks new. I'm not saying there isn't anything better than F11 that you can even use soap on, but if you follow F11 instructions it works.
Great review! I have a neighbor who used FW1 products and used it without washing the car first because that's one of their selling points. Before he did, I told him not to because even with ONR always requires water, I told him because it made no sense. Well, he did it anyway and had a lot of swirls and you can imagine how disgusted he was. I used TLC2 instead of TLC because they are different made. Also, have used the new Turtle Wax Ceramic products as well as Meguiars Ceramic Wax and they are great because can be applied to trims without making them with white residues. Thanks for putting this video together... I've been seeing good stuff online about Last Coat, but better about version 2. Have you tested that one? Side note, nice tune at the 14:30 ish mark. I do want to say that your camera-work quality is top notch among all the detailers making vids.
Thanks for the review , I bough a brand new Red car 🚘 and bough shine armour for cleaning but after watching your review , I am going to return it and just clean the car with water and cloth and will not damage the car paint using these products
Excellent review. Thanks! F11 certainly has a ton of marketing to generate sales, but I'm glad I resisted the impulse go buy their product, until I had a chance to actually see a detailed review. Again....well done. Based on your review, the only spray on sealer that's worth my money would be Jet.
Im glad I bought last coat you can see a big difference in the shine quality of the product vs F11 so I have seen many of these videos I have to say the last coat just seems to beat the snot out of the other seal coats
Just bought Shine armor! After viewing many reviews it will be returned! I have tried the F11 awhile ago to. So I will stay with my Mequiers ceramic spray on!
I sincerely appreciate this carefully designed, side-by-side test. I would also be interested in seeing a similar review that includes Superior Products Formula 4 Spray Wax.
Hi... i want to start a pro detail business... and i believe people want the paint to look the best as well as be protected for a year at a time and easy to clean...which product do you think is best for me to buy first... ? would you say using meg 101 or 105 followed by 205 then apply a 0ne of these??? do i just need to wipe of with micro fiber towel or do i need to clean with a product first before applying... also what about applying in sun or hot panel??? any information is greatly appreciated since i want to provide my customers with the best solutions for their cars.... i really like your demo videos..unbiased and very well explained...thank you...
It really comes down to the condition of the car and paint, what the client hopes to achieve, their budget and what’s realistic based on those things, so it’s very hard to settle on certain products and methods without that specific information and without doing a test on the paint first. If you have a look at a few of my detailing vlogs, I try to take the viewer through that journey and explain those things.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing i understand about restoring finishing i wet sanded and buffed out boats for over 12 years mainly gelcoat finishes ..then i would just use a wax...these ceramic sealers are new to me... i asked which sealer is the best protect and once surface is 100 percent nice do i need to use any special formula to clean... that one on end seemed best...f11 seemed pretty weak and a ripp off..
Okay, yes it’s really best to use an IPA mix (alcohol based cleaner) before you apply your sealant to remove polishing oils and ensure you get the best bond to the paint. The best way to main them is to using a pure car wash with no additives like Nv Snow or CarPro Reset. Some of my favourite sealants are Nova Jet & Lustre and Meguiars HCW
I've never heard of any of them but then I have a real life and don't use social media at all. The Nova Jet looks pretty amazing! Not sure if it's available here in the UK but I plan to look.
14:52 And that's one of the reasons why you're one of the top contributors in the youtube detailing segment. You're just devising good tests and showing us your findings. Clicked on this video just to see how bad the products were, and while they're actually not horrible in their own regard, it's the marketing that makes them extremely unappealing. I don't try anything at all that comes with obviously deceiving marketing, even if the product is amazing. I just can't get behind a company with those dishonest tactics. Anybody who falls for that type of marketing deserves whatever product they get. You can call me an ass but it is what it is. They should just take it as a lesson to not be so gullible next time.
Hi new to the channel but have some questions for you. I was wondering what you would recommend for me and my truck. I’m looking for something that would be easy to use and protect my paint and give it a great shine. Also a great interior detailing solution ? I was looking at NV auto the jet and lustre for exterior along with the snow + wash. Interior I was looking at gyeon. Not sure about wheeels and tires maybe you could recommend something theee also. Tell me your thoughts please as I look forward to hearing back from you.
Lustre & Jet perform and look great so I’d happily recommend them, Snow+ used before hand for a deep wash maybe with an IPA wipe prior to applying the sealants will help (if the paint needs to be clayed and or polished that will also help). To maintain the sealants moving forward, Snow is a better option than Snow+. I haven’t used Gyeon interior cleaners or dressings, but I’d assume they’d be good. Nv Purge is great wheel cleaner, Carpro Hydro2 is a great wheel sealant and Carpro Perl, DarkSide or Nv Onyx are great tyre dressings. Hope that helps.
The Last Coat 2.0 is awesome and will love see shoot out between Nova Jet, Gtechniq C2 Liquid Crystal, Car Pro CarPro HydrO2 and say Gyeon Can Coat. I have use TLC 2.O as toper on other ceramic coatings and works great or stand alone. TLC is probably too expensive to bring in to Australia just like bringing Nova Jet in the US. great video Sandro very honest and detailed testing as usual.
I was lucky enough to get TLC2 a while back when there was a 2 for 1 offer. Which made it a bit more affordable. But with the Aussie dollar now even worse than what is was Vs the US Dollar. it's the conversion cost that makes if pricey here in Australia. Still for what it is. It a great product
Purple Haze FFC thanks a ton. Yes it was a big difference over the original version shown in this vid. Thanks for the support, we’re hoping to be able to get some local distribution in Australia soon.
This review was Insane, Sadly i ordered 2 bottles of Shine Armour before seeing this, but cant be that bad if i wash the car and put it clean on the car. Imma just burn Trought the Bottles i have and buy another brand next time
Sandro, maybe do a test with new turtle wax's Ceramic spray on and Car pro Hydro2 and nove jet, just to see what will happen between the difference of a SIO2 based spray on and wipe off and hydro2 wet application spray on hi pressure water rinse off, how good it really is compared to the dry applications? Also does IRON X effect any of the spray on sealants wet or dry and or dedicated iron removers for painted surfaces and not iron x for wheels if you get my drift ?
Sandro this one was a much needed one. Awesome job as always. The waterless wash side of the products is what I wanted to see. They make some big claims advertising. Nice to prove that it is not scratch free. Great work as always.
I was not able to order Nova. They wouldn’t ship to my address in Florida. Had to go with The Last Coat. For what it’s worth, I’ve used Top Coat and I like the way it looks. It’s also fairly easy to apply, but it’s not cheap and just doesn’t last very long.
So the big question is, is Jet really worth twice as much as top coat? For the price of Jet, it puts it into another category while the others are just "top coats" that will probably be frequently applied. I'd also like to know if this is the original Top coat or V2.0?
I have a detailing job coming up. The customer doesn't want clay barring or iron remover done on the job. After watching this video, I'm thinking that The Last Coat might be a good option to use. The cars in good shape with a nice shine but does have light swirling on it. Would you feel that using The Last Coat would be a satisfactory option?
TLC2 (the one in the video above is the old original version) is very different in terms of durability and longevity just fyi. In terms of filling swirls, it will to a degree yes. Version 2 is a ceramic-based formula so the "filling" is not as pronounced as some other products, but it will help a bit if they are light.
So is there a BEST spray sealant or ceramic coating? I know these aren't the tops ones around tested just the most advertised ones. I heard The Last Coat makes a better produce called Black Ice, why didn't you test this one instead?
Never heard of nova jet but now i might have to invest in a bottle. BTW, have you done a video on NexGen? They brag about having the most silicon in their products which is why they're expensive. So im curious as to what they're like compared to what youve tested.
Keep up the great Work Sandro! Stick to your own opinions and dont take heat from any detailing product company. The the last coat person posting on and on about this version being there first Formula. We get it! So you can stop with the comments.
Subscribed! Good video. My only "critique" would be....please cover the other sections up when spraying a certain section. When you spray one section, you can see the over-spray getting on the panel/panels next to it, which means you're really getting a mix of the 2 products, so it messes up the results. Not just picking on your video, I see it in many, many videos.
Give this guy an award! Best in-depth review out there.

The hydrophobicity of that Nova Jet at the end is some of the craziest I've ever seen, the water is scared to death of it! Mental!
Shine Armor has banned me on Facebook for pointing out that you should not wipe dirty panels with a MF because, as demonstrated, it'll just scratch the paint.
All depends on what product you are using as a waterless wash. The carpro product left virtually no marring.
I agree makes me cringe people wiping a dirty car... wash it first.. 😑
Lmao you can get it at Ross for less than advertised
@@maurobeltran3072 yes I tried buying it at Ross. When I opened the box it was a bottle of fabric freshener

Car craft auto detailing you should use the last coat version 2 there upgraded formula.
In my experience, TLC2 is way better than the original formula.
Ya, big difference in formulas.
I purchased 2 bottles of TLC and wasn't too impressed. Wish I could trade in those 2 bottles of TLC for 1 of TLC2 😥
In addition to the great information, this vid has some nice tunes... thanks for all the good work.
On Instagram I was marking them as Misleading
A++ review that’s all I can say. Well done.
LOVE this review... I now know what one I am going to get for my Jeep
Very good and useful review, I can only say "Thank you"! It saved me some money...
Just bought shine armour but it's 19 bucks Nova jet 40 so all and all not bad
You truly deserve an award! Well done and thank you! You have a new subscriber! :)
Very very good review ! How it's supposed to be done ! So convincing !
Great job guys !
Wow !!!! Huge eye opener just wow
I came here to check out the last coat, but the Jet brand product has me rethinking it.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing yes ty my truck is brand new so just maintain I would think
nova jet really propelled off the water
The Last Coat 2.0 is awesome and will love see shoot out between Nova Jet, Gtechniq C2 Liquid Crystal, Car Pro CarPro HydrO2 and say Gyeon Can Coat. I have use TLC 2.O as toper on other ceramic coatings and works great or stand alone. TLC is probably too expensive to bring in to Australia just like bringing Nova Jet in the US. great video Sandro very honest and detailed testing as usual.
We'd love to bring Version 2 with an Australian distributor, we've talked to a few. You're right, the logistics can get pricey.
Thank you for this review. It's the best if ever seen.
This review was Insane, Sadly i ordered 2 bottles of Shine Armour before seeing this, but cant be that bad if i wash the car and put it clean on the car. Imma just burn Trought the Bottles i have and buy another brand next time
Literally about to do the same thing
Nice review, looks like the best product is Jet
Wow Jet is legit.
Great work as always.
awesome job on this video
I was not able to order Nova. They wouldn’t ship to my address in Florida. Had to go with The Last Coat. For what it’s worth, I’ve used Top Coat and I like the way it looks. It’s also fairly easy to apply, but it’s not cheap and just doesn’t last very long.
This was excellent. Very scientific.
Hi, like you review, where can I purchase the NV Nova jet?
If you’re in the States you can get it here:
parkscarcare.net/
So the big question is, is Jet really worth twice as much as top coat? For the price of Jet, it puts it into another category while the others are just "top coats" that will probably be frequently applied. I'd also like to know if this is the original Top coat or V2.0?
I have a detailing job coming up. The customer doesn't want clay barring or iron remover done on the job. After watching this video, I'm thinking that The Last Coat might be a good option to use. The cars in good shape with a nice shine but does have light swirling on it. Would you feel that using The Last Coat would be a satisfactory option?
If you're after something that you can purchase easily, then Turtle Wax Seal and Shine would outlast TLC.
Nova Jet gets my money ! !
Never heard of nova jet but now i might have to invest in a bottle. BTW, have you done a video on NexGen? They brag about having the most silicon in their products which is why they're expensive. So im curious as to what they're like compared to what youve tested.
No unfortunately I haven’t tried that brand.
Read the reviews on it. Its a joke
Comprehensive testing. Your vids never dissapoints me.
Keep up the great Work Sandro! Stick to your own opinions
and dont take heat from any detailing product company.
The the last coat person posting on and on about this version being there first
Formula. We get it! So you can stop with the comments.
That Jet stuff is insane, water can't even touch it!
Any sites that sell nova jet outside of oz?
parkscarcare.net/
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you! I've seen so many of your videos with nova jet and never seen such a repellent of water keep up the good work
Hey buddy slightly off beaten track in your white ceramic coat studio are your wall 8 ft led lights easy to get hold of here in Aus ?
That jet spray performs incredible
Subscribed! Good video. My only "critique" would be....please cover the other sections up when spraying a certain section. When you spray one section, you can see the over-spray getting on the panel/panels next to it, which means you're really getting a mix of the 2 products, so it messes up the results. Not just picking on your video, I see it in many, many videos.
Excellent review
Can the nova be used on a boat?
Yes
Nova not available in the US?
This was very helpful.
Can the nova jet be put on a wet car after rinsing then drying and buffing as I go??
