I had the same “problem” with the applicator. Pretty small and i had a very tiny little bit of product leak onto the handle even… For me, a normal detailing brush will work 100 times better.
I loved the Tyre Brush though it started to drop bristles out of it after about 3 uses. Not sure if I had a bad one though I have since thrown it out as it was dropping bristles all over tyres.
First? Nonetheless, always great to get new content from the best detailer on the planet. BTW- Just received my bottle of UltraCut for my horn-polishing project. Got a bunch of wool and medium-cut pads, and can’t wait to see how the compound handles silver plating. Cheers mate!
Great video Sandro, thank you. Although that tyre applicator looks a bit small for 4x4 wheel tyres, what would you suggest to use for a big, bulky uneven tyre? Getting into the nooks and gaps is time consuming.
I typically like using a larger detailing brush with longer bristles (something similar in dimension to the Carpro XL brush) and also prefer a more liquid tyre dressing - Zaino Z16 is perfect as it easily gets into every area and if you walk away for 20mins it also self levels amazing well, and looks so good! Issue is Z16 is just not available here locally anymore, but was my number one for large knobby tyres.
Hey there Sandro, i just bought the Carpro Flat/Spot wheel brushes per your recommendation, hope they will be good for BMW black gloss 791M wheels! Oh and the Darkside brush also :) Cheers from Poland Update: Very nice brushes, durable, bendable to an extent, clean really well with the black microfibre extensions, same with the orange ones, a little bit pricey but you can feel the quality (I'm sure they will last a looong time) the one problem i have with the spot one is that it doesn't fit in between my front calpiers (Mpower brakes so minimal gap there) but otherwise? Super ergonomical, easy to keep clean, so many positives!
Keep in mind the tire brush was original made for make up not tire dressing applications. Carpro seems to have just slapped their label on it without any input on the construction in mind. Cant get over the price gauge $14.99 where other shops you can low as $2.99. Thanks CarPro. Also Sandro any thoughts on autofiber wheel blade?
Interesting - never would have thought that was originally a makeup brush, also interesting as the other brands cost about the same here in Oz $10-20AUD. The Autofiber Blade is very expensive here around $70AUD each, haven’t tried it but looks like it could potentially be good!
The difference is we use anti solvent glue for the fibers, other ones the bristles came off with solvent contact after sometime. Darkside is a solvent base.
@@carpro_official Appreciate the response. I’ll use both for the next few months and report back. I’ve been using Darkside for about 12 months now but only just moved to these style of applicators for low profile tyres. I will say that, generally speaking, a foam applicator is far easier to use (for me) regardless of the quality of any brush.
You can get the same tire brush off temu for under $5 which works just the same and very well put together. They're all the same! CarPro just threw some paint and slapped their logo on it. It's just make up brush at the end of the day.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks for the answer once again, Sandro, I’m testing lots of pads to find “the optmal” ones, for one step correction and I am hoping lake country’s better than rupes’s…
Great video as per. I just use an old microfibre to wipe down the applicator and mine is still going years on (non car pro branded). I've never chemically cleaned it and always used Darkside and TACs Blue Tyre Dressing..
Do you plan on checking out carpro wheelx soon? I’m due for new wheel cleaner and I’ve seen it’s just come out but I really love your reviews so I’d love to wait and see what you have to say
I use use these all the time, the plush side is great for the initial wipe the gather the product, and the short pole side is great for the final streak free finish: amzn.to/3RPs7js
Hey sandro i have a question what is better graphene coating or ceramic? My detailer wants to use ncg graphene coating but i want to use nv nova pro. What ur thoughts?
In my opinion and experience graphene in relation to car coatings still unfortunately doesn’t really mean much and in most cases “graphene” coatings are still predominantly SiO2 or ceramic based. That doesn’t mean a graphene labelled coating can’t be great, it just means the word graphene in car coatings hasn’t really shown itself to offer or be anything new or improved as far as car coatings go. So my advice is don’t choose a coating based on whether it’s marketed as ceramic or graphene, choose it based of its performance and reputation 🙂
I use the bolt for a year now is still like new and is really absorbing, one pass I dry my suv and is 30 euros is good price the flat brushes I need to buy they look like a good ones I use now the ez detail brushes but I need this ones that are woolly
You would think that Car Pto would have learned from their competitors. The flat pad needs to be buttoned down so that it doesn't slide off like it did when you backed it out.
Thank you for the thorough review as always!
Nice one Sandro. Thank you for investing all your valuable time into producing these excellent detailing videos.
Thank you for taking the time to review these products ! It's fun to have in-depth reviews on items to know what to and not to buy.
Sandro and Carpro a winning combination! Good video 🫡

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing lol yea makes sense now why it has a tiny handle. Wasn't meant for big paws
Yes, exact tyre dressing brush on Temu is $3. I bought one to compare…identical.

Sandro, let me ask you about lake country's pads, the blue hybrid one, is it "good enought" for an enhancement 1-step polish? Have you ever tested it?
Yes I’ve used it a lot and it can be a great one step pad depending on the paint type, it’s defects and your combination.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thanks for the answer once again, Sandro, I’m testing lots of pads to find “the optmal” ones, for one step correction and I am hoping lake country’s better than rupes’s…
Love the review. Does the flatspot kit say its machine washable anywhere?
Didn’t see that anywhere, but I would say it’s a safe bet to put the microfibre pads in the washer.

Thank mate and great to hear - they do seem like fantastic little brushes.
The brush is just a re-brand product with a high price tag, if you find this brush (without CarPro logo) for much cheaper take that one
Darkside produces bristle loss with a similar looking brush I used
Nice video Sandro ; you’re a film maker 😊

Hi Sandro! Have you got a review coming for NV evo v2?
Thanks for reminding me and will certainly try to review it as time allows.

Maybe a button, but a similar tacky foam to the spot/round brush or maybe an elastic end - but yes something better!
The tire brush is too expensive. I bought the same one in black from Temu. 8 brushes for 5€😁
80/20 for the BOLD, interesting when competition goes heavily in to 70/30 for cheaper
Instead of this why not in a normal paint brush style, easier to use and no scraped knuckles or fingers
those tire brushes - you can just buy a cheap detail brush and cut off the handle to your liking.....what a silly market.
