You are the most honest person I have ever seen on TH-cam , I have been dealing with melasma still and I am looking forward to moxi laser very soon even though it’s really expensive but I hope this will take away my in confidence skin . Thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment, and for your kind words. That makes me feel really happy to know. I try to be as transparent as possible and because this IS so expensive, I want everyone to know what they're getting into!
I have deep melasma and this video made me decide to have my first session of moxi laser done yesterday and I was sooooo red, can’t wait to see results 😊
@@svetaa2006 I'll be uploading a new video updating on my melasma progress and detailing the healing from another Moxi I just had. It hasn't gotten worse but it hasn't stayed as crystal clear as this video either. Stay tuned!
This was SO helpful for me in feeling more comfortable moving forward with Moxi and knowing how to help the treatment work its best!!! My melasma is terrible, more and darker coverage than you had, and I'm so excited now. Thank you!!!!
I'm so happy to hear that my video was helpful to you, and has you feeling excited! I am actually recovering from another Moxi laser as I type this and should have an updated video up in a week or so. Stay tuned for that and thanks for watching!
I just completed my second moxi to help deal with melasma. I found that the redness/swelling was worse than the first time but agree that the mends showed up sooner and it feels like it is moving through the healing process faster than the first time. I appreciated your frankness and realness, thank you!
Wow! Love to see your results with Moxi. It’s an amazing and powerful laser providing clients with resurfacing and overall brightness!! Thank you for sharing your journey!!
I just got moxi 5 days ago, and I've got those red dots on my chin in addition MENDS. I was worried maybe they were broken blood vessels, but your video is encouraging me that it's normal and will go away! Thanks for sharing your journey! I'm excited for this healing to be over. I'm also a makeup artist and totally relate to your comment of people telling you you have nice skin, but you respond "I'm just good at makeup" - I do the exact same thing, considering people only really ever compliment my skin when I have makeup on! I hope these results are amazing too and I can truly love my skin!
I hope your results were good too! No worries on those little dots. I'm recovering from another Moxi right now and I'm full of them! Thank you so much for watching my video and taking time to comment!
@IvyBoyd Ivy, I don't know if youll see this but you mentioned window tint in your video. It will block 97% or more of UVA & UVB but not blue light, which also causes melasma. I have my car windows tinted and some in my house, but I still wear sunscreens that block blue light. Hope this helps!
I have minor brown spots/melasma and I don't have the patience to deal with creams. I want to just zap it all with a laser. I've done IPL years ago but my friend who works at a med spa said Moxi is newer technology so I'm very interested to try it. One local med spa charges $600 per session and a board certified plastic surgeon charges $800 so I'm deciding if it's worth it to go somewhere a little more trustworthy. This video was very informative - thank you for putting it together!
I’ve just had my first BBL HEROic and Moxi treatment today. It was very spicy and felt like a bad sunburn and my face was super red afterwards, but that has settled down now. I also had my hands done and then just Moxi on my neck. This was the first of 3 treatments. Excited to see my results.
Hello, perfect timing I just purchased a series of three treatments. My beautiful PAC suggested this procedure. She also carries BBL laser but she recommends MOXI for Melasma. I've tried soooo many things out there. I've been successful for several years with a compound cream formula that works great for my skin. I going to do this MOXI procedure in January. Your skin looks flawless had minimal downtime. Melasma is work and maintenance on our part ! Mineral sunscreen, hats and visors and protective clothing. I also get Melasma on my forearm during the summer. Melasma is my. demon. Thank you for posting your video. I feel more confident ❤
I'm so glad you found this helpful! I'm excited for your Moxi experience! You are right on about the maintenance too. It's never cured or gone forever! Sounds like you're doing all the right stuff. Thank you for watching and commenting, Carol!
PS the cracks in the outer edges of your lips could be “angular cheilitis” which is treated with a prescription ointment called ‘nystatin-triamcinolone” which is a combination anti-fungal and antibiotic.
This was super helpful and your skin looks gorgeous! I work from home but do video calls, so was curious how bad I would look. I intentionally scheduled my treatment on a Friday with a Monday holiday so I'd have a few days before I had to be on camera again...tho looks like I may still be looking a little rough. But it's great to hear your experience and see your results!
I'm so happy to hear that this video was helpful! I wanted everyone to get a real, in-depth look at each day of healing so they could plan accordingly. I hope you also find it worth every penny!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and the level of detail you provided. I just had my first Moxi this past Saturday, I am 51 and have been battling melasma for 9 years. I am really hoping my results will be positive, like you I needed to elevate my approach with Moxi and combine it with my routine of vitamin C, super serum, tranexamic eraser etc etc. My esthetician also suggested the ZO pigment line which I will be adding to my routine. Thank you again this was so encouraging and educational. You DO have gorgeous skin, congrats!
Thanks, this was really helpful! I’m going for my 1st moxi in about 30 minutes! Eeek! You look great! & the comment “I almost got choked up bc my skin actually looks good, I don’t think I’ve ever said that.” I can SO relate! I hope I have great results like you!
I hope your first Moxi went well! Right about now, you're probably in that crispy stage! I enjoyed the best skin I've ever had after 3 sessions and ZO Hydroquinone. After I had to taper off the hydroquinone, my melasma quickly returned. I waited the minimum amount of time you need to be off it, and I just started back on. Sadly for me, it's really the combination of lasers AND heavy duty skincare. Hoping to lighten back up to where I was!
@@sandrapavlovic2057 It initially helped SO MUCH with my melasma, especially when combined with the prescription hydroquinone treatments mentioned. However, it is now back. Super disappointing. I need to film an update video.
@@IvyBoyd thank you for answering. I tried picko way laser and it just made it spread more. It seems to me, that best results are when I am not trying anything, just sunscreen.
@@IvyBoyd super important to use a “melanin inhibitor” during your hydroquinone break I recommend the skin better “even tone” I learned this the hard way after being 90% clear with hydroquinone and laser treatment only for it to immediately return once I stopped using luckily I am a medical aesthetician and when a ZO trainer came she informed me of the need for a melanin inhibitor year round especially when not on HQ hope this helps!
In Tampa Moxi $425 and BBL is $799. They often recommend both at the same time. I was told Moxi can remove freckles and moles. That’s why I’m looking for. I have a ZO 3 Step Peel to see if we can lighten up or remove some of the light tiny ones. Thanks for your video!
Your skin looks great. How long after the treatment you can workout and sweat? I want to schedule a treatment but want to do it around my tennis class. Thanks!
I have no idea what the level was, nor number of passes. However, I do know that we did the same strength on the second and third but more passes? I had these about 4-5 weeks apart.
Thank you! I think my skin improved in several ways beyond initial melasma reduction. However, after 3 treatments, my melasma did come back a bit. I have found that my daily use of Grande Lash and Brow serum, from 2019-2022, contributed heavily to my melasma darkening. I am going to work on filming an update video so everyone can see what it looks like today!
So yes, it did return. I think I know partially why. Prior to and immediately after these moxi sessions, I was a regular user of Grande Cosmetics lash and brow growth serums. They contain a hormone called Prostaglandin that often makes melasma worse, or brings it on entirely. My melasma was about 50% worse after starting those serums. I no longer use them and am getting 1 more Moxi in a few weeks to see how long results last now that I am NOT using those hormone-filled serums!
Also what eye cream w/SPF did you use? My medspa here in Raleigh NC where I got my face only done charges $400 but I did it during a special promotion week and paid $340. Next time I'm doing face and neck and it will be $475 but I prebooked and will get a discount so $427.50. It's a reputable spa w/plastic surgeon.
I have a Dermalogica one and Replenix one that have SPF. $400 is SO good and $340 is unheard of! Sounds like I need to come to Raleigh for my next Moxi!
@@Aniqat23 Hi! Sure, it's Synergy Raliegh, I got to Cheryl. I just had it done and unfortunately prices have gone up a little.....I paid $558 last time just for face. Maybe still a good price?
They told me I would be back to normal like right away and this is so much worse than microneedling I have done. My skin is so brown I had no idea I could look this way for a week!!!! She did say you can wear make up right away....I hope it could still help UGH
Did I miss how far apart each treatment was from each other? This is interesting. I don’t have melasma, but I’d like a treatment that isn’t as painful as Halo.
The ZO hydroquinone products definitely kept my pigmentation under control really well. Unfortunately, I had to cycle off it for a bit, as have to do with hydroquinone. My melasma is making a SWIFT return so I can't wait until I can go back on.
@@radmylaCain I felt like I had great results after even one. I don't think it helps big pores sadly, as I have those too. Scarring may take a few sessions but it's usually less stubborn than melasma!
I am not familiar with silvadene cream so I wouldn't be able to properly answer. I know that after 48 hours you can use petroleum based products like Aquaphor. Hope that helps!
I believe you technically CAN 24 hours after, but trust me; you won't want to. Your entire face is the texture of sandpaper and foundation/tinted moisturizer etc. will not look good at all. I didn't wear makeup until day 6.
