Oh man this reminds me of that time my mom bought a plug n play from the local county fair it has 78,000 games on it but it only had like 30 games repeated over a thousand times, good thing was it had duck hunt and a couple of games that stood in japan with english translations.
good times, I had a 1 million plug n play version but its number of games didn't matter since there were repeats anyways. Couldn't get good at circus charlie due to my inability to play video games back then. Still can't get gud at it.
Normally there's just 400-600 games per pirate console

Same, supposedly thousands of games but ours had in fact maybe two dozen.
Mine is a white bootleg Supreme gameboy that had 200 games in it, this included 💀😭

I remember this game through a cheap plug n play system that had about 30 or so titles. Very difficult to play but it is hilarious when you mess up.

I remember having a plug and play with this, and it was labeled "TOY STORY" in the menu, and kept getting frustrated as to why it kept going to this game.
In fact, it seems much of this game's infamy comes from the famiclone plug and plays.
I remember it as well. It also had Gradius, Duck Hunt, Super Contra, Wild Gun man, Mappy, Excitebike, and Sky Destoryer, along with some others I cannot remember.
I used to play this as a kid, but never passed stage 3 with the balls. Always ended up getting angry and tired and instead played "Balloon Fight" or "Mappy"
This was my fav game to play in the nintendo.
Edit: oh god the 3rd level the ball one was a nightmarishly hard level for me....
As a kid I thought the money bag was a pig head for the lion.

This game is the bane of my existence, every time I play it, I want to beat it but failed every time, and whenever the name of this specific game is brought up, it gives me Vietnam War flashbacks and I still desperately want to beat THIS game.

When I failed in some stage, it always made me feel like I was getting burned or hurt along with the video game character.

I dont kno y but as a kid the music when u died n the clowns face with the black Game Over screen felt ominous n dark, thinking about it in a dark room gives me goosebumps lol

Charlie Circus was good and very hard back in 1986. It only has 5 stages which takes 4 minutes and 19 seconds to complete. Stage 6 are all repeated stages of the first 5. Best to quit after stage 5 as the game ends there.
Short, simple design, but a lot of fun. ❤

This type of game was designed to see how high you can score, so you don't quit after level 5, you keep playing to see how many points you can score.
@@Bloodreign1 True, but after the player reached the max high score possible, they'll never come to play this ever again as they done all 5 stages repeatedly and are board of it that it makes them sick.
This is a short game that really ends at stage 5 and it's not recommend to shoot for a score 99999. Unless one hunger for max score.

Yeah, and the people that send the videos don't do it all in one go, they use save states and all those tools to send the best possible gameplay.

I'm looking for a game with a boy in cart, jumping on rails. The cartridge of course had a different name and sticker. I was playing it on a nes clone, but it looked like it wasnt a nes game. I have checked the full list of games, it's not there. Can someone help?

@@infinitygenealpa you should checkout the games on the MSX such as Knightmare, Aleste, Nemesis, firebird, and metal gear solid2.
@@ubiased23 Gradius/Nemesis was crap on the MSX. The scrolling of the backgrounds was choppy, the graphics looked like ASS. It looked and sounded better on the Famicom, and the backgrounds moved much smoother.
@@infinitygenealpa actually nemesis sounded better on the MSX cartridge because it came with scc soundchip.
There are other exclusive games such as Aleste and knightmare. Please checkout these games on the MSX and tell me what you think.
I agree with you on the scrolling part was very problematic on the MSX. but, games got better scrolling on the MSX latee on due to the better programming.

Everyone in the comments is bonding over playing this on bootleg console, lol. I remember playing this on a 30-in-1 GBA cart my dad got from Southeast Asia that had a bunch on NES games on it.
