A classic arcade conversion of the original 1985 Japanese arcade game 影の伝説 (Kage no Densetsu), The Legend of Kage (pronounced kah-ge, Japanese for shadow, not like Johnny "Cage". Imagine a Bostonian calling their 'car gay' and you've got a close approximation of the actual pronunciation) had a guy looking suspiciously close to Hayate from Revenge of the Ninja (Sega CD) running through feudal Japan, saving his girlfriend several times as the seasons pass. Cool game, and a surprising amount of strategy for how simple it is.
No cheats were used during the recording of this video.

This music was classic, over 30 yrs later and I remember it like it was yesterday.
Defined Boundary yeah the music was stuck in my head today even tho I played this game about ~14 years ago so I looked it up to listen.. had to find the game's name first because that part I never actually looked at before.. I only knew which cartridge had what kinda game

I remember playing this as a kid. Until right now, I had forgotten the name of the game. All I could remember about the game was being a ninja that jumped really high and your clothes changed color when you got power ups. Finally got some closure to this 25+ year mystery

I used to play it and shout at my dad for not allowing for more than 2 hours of game play. I miss my dad, he died of covid-19 and this music and game put me in the 1998 era.

The best soundtrack and best ninja game for the legendary OG Nintendo Uno. I was about 5 years old when I played this game, which is 32 years ago. The music is rings in my head even till this day. I can’t believe how so many others haven’t even play or seen this epic gem!! I love it to death, I really feel like a young cub listening to this song again. The amount of nostalgia is unparalleled. Pegasus was the taiwan copy of nes that was sold in Poland by two Polish guys, whom after the law was made up and had made copies illegal , turned to produce fizzy drinks, which are still popular today. A fun fact.
Never got past level 2 as a kid, but kept coming back for more b/c the soundtrack was soooo good.

I used to have such patience... as a child playing this game. Now, everything's crazy, I can't take it, & just want the Simplicity of Babyhood back!
NES games weren't terribly designed, they were short, and had to be designed to be hard to make sure you got your money's worth and didn't beat it right away. You either had the skill, or you just whined like a baby and moved on to the next game, hoping you had the skills to beat it.
Robocop games on the NES were put out by Ocean, and Ocean wasn't the best at making games for the NES. Matter of fact, I'd put them on the same level as some of the games LJN licensed from smaller developers (and released them.LJN never made a game)

I can’t believe after 4 times rescueing the princess she finally get’s saved , but once the ending massage says “ this was a story of a ninja from japan” but then it says “however,,,,,,,,”
And then the game puts you back at the beginning ,, what kind of nonsense is that?? As if those gaming designers were laving out you to play on ends, knewing that it get’s boring pretty quickly,

Just look at these games , so simple and yet so perfect. Games dont need super graphics and sound to be awesome. It is all about the gameplay and the story and the characters that makes them legendary. Unfortunately most newer games miss these things or they are too weak at them.
These new games nowadays are basically designed strictly for Micro transactions. They only wanna keep you spending

I've played this game 27 years ago, rememered its existence around 15 years ago and have been trying to find its name so I could listen to the music once more. I'm filled with emotions right now, fuck.
Little me kept reading his name as "cage" and learned only later that it's Japanese for "shadow." I remember being proud for finishing the game where he and the princess reunite.
I always loved how you could soar through the skies when you jumped.
This game always made me feel like a superhero when I played it back in the early 90s....
This was my favorite game. I still remember the day I completed the whole game..... Oh... The memories are killing me

I was only like 6 or 7 when I played this, and back in those days my brother whose 5 years older than me would be the one who would borrow and trade random NES titles with his friends, I just played landed in our room. I tried repeatedly over the years to get him to remember this game, all I could give him to go on though was "the game where the ninjas wife gets kidnapped, and its lightning, and there is a power-up where he can kill all of the enemies onscreen, and the cartridge art had bright colors" that's all I had.
At a point I wasn't even sure if the game was real anymore. Funny enough I finally found the game today by just going out on a limb and googling "NES game ninja wife kidnapped", and there it was.
On one hand I'm super stoked to have finally cracked the mystery after 30 years, on the other the memory of this game was waaaay more epic in my 6 year old lens, so I kind of wish I'd left it that way.

Man, did I LOVE this game back in the day. The game mechanic was so enjoyable for 8 bit. The high jumping and climbing and what not were rare and cool features.

The human body is just starting to develop an immunity system, but you then are injecting poison into their body. So they will grow up with defects, and it shows.
