The Apple II (][) jingle is just the intermission (coffee break) jingle. Creative. (Also, fun fact-- said version is actually based out of a clone called "Taxman"-- this version, under Atari(soft)'s approval, was re-released officially by themselves with the original Pac-Man branding.)
Even allowing for the varying capabilities of those early machines, it's amazing how wrong they managed to get some of those attempts at reproducing that tune.
Interesting how all the Atarisoft and Tengen versions just seemed to reuse the code for the 8-bit/5200 version(s) and sound identical no matter what system they were on.
Atari had exclusive distribution rights to Pac-Man for home consoles and computers for a time. But I don't think they're allowed to distribute their versions anymore since they never show up on Atari Flashback.

AAAHHH HOW I DIDN'T EXPECT IT
My neighbors be like
I was thinking of... something else.
@@ger_weetLMAO😂
I like how the Apple II version just uses the bonus theme for its intro
Have to assume there's not a lot of data for music so they had to pick one or the other
hold up there was an apple ii version of pac man??
@@trainboy2000 its in the video ??
3:30: *printer noises*
When pacman will die your ears will melt for real
Bad sound 💀

Hi mel
0:16 let's see how port's can replicate this iconic theme
0:24 this is not good but not terrible
0:31 i think the missing note makes it better
0:40 somewhat better than the coleco tabletop port
0:48 there is no bitting way that THIS is the most seling game for the Atari 2600
0:54/1:03 alright good job 👍
1:11 i have no idea on what to say
1:19 close to perfect
1:27 really close to perfect
1:34 DAM, THIS IS MY JAM DUDE 😎
1:43 same as apple II
1:50 the off-tempo makes this somehow good
1:58 why is this hated so much? it sounds fine to me

7:11 i think this is the music that sounds cool in midi
the best Comment on this video XD
mm yes, the iconic Pac-Man intro
so iconic that most of Pac-Man World's soundtrack is centered towards it
2:05 music to my ears
like hell
2:10 bro rlly said “👏👏👏👏👏”
1:34 buddy fr went PAL mode
some are good, some are fine, some are ear screeching
NEC PC 😭
But all are Pac-Man.
@@anidiotonyoutube2022 yes, all are pac man, but SOME verisons have terrible sounding

0:48 music to my ears
Edit: and that was before I discovered the even more ear burning ones
1:24 why does it sound like the “guh-huh!” From banjo-kazooie
Atari 2600 just screamed all in my ear 🫨
There's a reason there are so many of them in that dump.
As a kid, I thought it sounded like dial tones.
Colecovison COKED with that intro, No wonder they canceled it, It would make the gaming console industry burn.
2:32 was Pacman the first one to ever be bass-boosted?
Rave-Man
4:00 - this is the first one I played.
1:10 bro is different fr fr
3:54 I've played this version more than the original and I don't know why, it just appears
6:49 The most nostalgic form, to me.
0:40 If Pac-Man was on a Game and Watch
true
Even allowing for the varying capabilities of those early machines, it's amazing how wrong they managed to get some of those attempts at reproducing that tune.
0:49 pac-man eating frisbees
it's because the aspect ratio of the 2600 is not 4:3, it's somewhere around 10:7
@@tchomsdaguyit’s 1.33:1 or in other words 10:6.67 which is rounded up to 1:0.7 or 10:7
I don’t think Pac-Man dying
4:49, the Pac-Man sounds metal
It's the weird snes echo
This Pac-Man Start Jingle is the greatest of all time!
3:30 is so loud 😂😂😂
We've had bit music, piano, rock and even Printer trying to work

Alright who let Sue in this?
1:43 and this
1:56 and this?!
Palette problems, probably.
@superdean9966 fr fr
I think they were trying to make pinky but the color palette was too limited, so they did this
@@tchomsdaguy that really explains why they made it look like Sue
Man, a few of these are what I imagine having a stroke would sound like
Ahh, finally. Pac-Man versions: the musical.
7:10 WHY IS IT A MIDI 😭 🙏
J2ME phones tend to have built in hardware support for MIDI so why not.
@ I didn’t know it was a phone lol.
GEE. I WONDER WHY
what else do you expect from J2me
@ I didn’t know what it was
YES!!
Yoooo it’s the pac-man
the pac-man
The ones that have scroll mode and full screen mode should only be counted once.
Arcade is my favorite
1:58 what happened to the orange ghost
I like pac man A LOT and I like this video
The Apple II eating sound reminds me of my upstairs neighbors
Google pac man was the first version I played lol
Interesting how all the Atarisoft and Tengen versions just seemed to reuse the code for the 8-bit/5200 version(s) and sound identical no matter what system they were on.
NES 3:07 and NEC PC-9801 4:29 sounds the best so far
The NEC's audio dies!
Atari had exclusive distribution rights to Pac-Man for home consoles and computers for a time. But I don't think they're allowed to distribute their versions anymore since they never show up on Atari Flashback.
I have never heard of the “Nabu Personal Computer” or its exclusive PAC-MAN port prior to this video. New discovery?? 👀
i LOVE the unreleased ColecoVision one
It is interesting to see how different portable platforms handle the full screen mode
I found a version for BBC micro
Es interesante ver que las versiones de NEC usan el handakuten en el tipo de letra de la computadora para los gránulos comestibles.
I had no idea this many versions of pac man existed lol
1:23 sounds like a busted cop car

Everything from PS1 onwards except the handhelds has been the same arcade version and sound
I miss the old Pacman, who else does?
Our favorite childhood intro music! Very nostalgia
1:30 bruh the pufferfish wants us to pee on the pac man game
3:45 SONIC SOUNDFONT
This computer uses FM synth for its music similar to, but not the same as, the sega genesis' YM2612 FM chip
One of the best intro songs in video game history. You really have to try to screw this up. And boy, did a couple of these try...
I gotta get Pac Man 2 for my Genesis!
Oh yes I totally know about Christmas colored Pac-Man
Some random show by 41entertainment starring pacman having the intro have that jingle: bro
You missed the "classic Pac-Man" inside of Pac-Man World 2000 PS1.
What's the intro song?
sharp X68000 really wants to be the genesis
i like how ghosts look in the atari 5200 version

It’s ok, Atari 2600 - you do you.

There were a bunch missed, for ecample the later mobile java version and the version from namco museum remix/megamix (megamix was better)
Sharp X68000 is one of the best
NEC-8001mkii is definitely is the worst
