I used to paint church statues and can tell you that Plaster church statues are called "Chalkwear" because they should ONLY be painted with Chalk Paint. Glossy eyes mean that they have Glass Eyes which means they are a Daprato Rigali vintage Plaster and Horse Hair hand made statue that has a value in the Thousands of dollars. Life size statues from this studio are usually valued about $25,000 depending on what condition it is in. Using the wrong type of paint can seriously affect the value and cause mildew and other issues under the paint. I've painted many that had to be almost completely stripped by hand with no chemicals because someone used acrylic, house paint or other type of paint. It's probably next to impossible to redo a statue that has been spray painted unless it was taken to a professional that would charge a few thousand minimum. God Bless

Aerosol Spray Paint, 18K Gold Paint, and acrylic paint made for outside all from Hobby Lobby.

I’m not sure what your statue is made out of. I personally love to shop at Hobby Lobby for most of my craft projects paints. Also the workers there know a lot more if you explain to them and show a photo. :) you can use small bottles of acrylic paint that’s made for outside materials such as potting planters. I used aerosol as well.

do you have a cleaning solution that could remove paint/stains on the folds of the dress of the image?
Superfine steel wool, rubbed on dry, Will take off small stains without disturbing the paint too much. Next level would be paint thinner on q-tip or on a cotton rag, small amount. Paint thinner will take off paint so be gentle.

My mother and me watched your work and she asked if it is 'the original 'statue.
It is the family’s original statue that has been in their family for many years. As far as if it was the original that others were create and casted from, I am not sure. I did not sculpt this, I patched the cracks and chips and gave it fresh paint.
