Liza Tanzawa For some reason I can not leave an independant comment, it only lets me reply to other peoples comments, with that in mind disregard the idea of linear pretense here. Is it superstituos to think that smoking leads to cancer? There are just many non-smoking folks who get cancer. So is it disengenuos to say that the idea of cigarettes being carcinogenic is comparable to idea of spontaneous generation, a theory that use to state that since worms come out when it rains worms are created by the rain. Is this not the same logic that people who smoke end up with cancer so therefore smoking must create cancer?

People don't always feel like they are supported emotionally, because we don't really have a tribe and a specific purpose like in the caveman days i.e. survival. Humans long for a purpose (but are instead now distracted by luxury items). If everyone had a job that they enjoyed on equal scale with free time to spend with family and friends, then it would be a great start.

I agree but I would also say that there's a level of instability within even the most reliable support structures which is to some degree ineradicable. Alienation from others, epistemic uncertainty and physical division are facts of the human condition. Certainly any structure that reduces unnecessary stress is better for facing this fundamental impediment to our growth and happiness, but it is for many reasons important to maintain awareness of the possibility that "separateness" is intrinsic and permanent. What do you think?
I don't know. I think even the most antisocial of people still like to feel a sense of belonging and being cared for. I think a lot of our happiness can come from having a close connection with another person (e.g. mother figure, partner, father figure, brother, sister, grandparent etc. ) who we feel like we can express all thoughts to without being judged or shunned and turned away. Of course we are all individuals who enjoy time alone and some elements of separateness, but I wouldn't say it's the core of us. I think for the most part we are scared of dying alone and like the ideas of unity and togetherness.
I think in the spiritual. You sound bright but your language is hard and without love and you don't consider love as an option. This is the only option left for human kind. After the meltdown in Japan the seas will die. That means total extinction, except for bacteria. Bye bye....

I remember the superstition about walking over drain covers when we was kids. never understood why until I went to Bangkok. Its suicide to walk over drain covers there. The moon doesn't have a significant effect on the water in our body. You should read up on how gravity works. The moon causes tides in the oceans because they are very big: one part of the ocean is facing the moon while the other part of it isn't, so that the gravitational effect of the moon on one part of the ocean is bigger than on the other, thus creating the tide. That's the trews.
