Actually, it has the best concrete to skate on. I've been trying to learn to skate for 1 week bow and I only have street asphalt to skate on and it's not helping me much... The one time I tried on a basketball court it was so much better
I live in the countyside so all the roads are rough as anything, the smoothest close area is my driveway, but I can only skate on it if there are no cars parked on it. I wish I had a nice, smooth basketball court near me even If I did get kicked out sometimes

hey, everyone starts out a beginner! I remember when I first started skating (a couple years ago), I was incredibly intimidated by everyone at the skate park lol. but, really, they're not going to be paying much attention to you as long as you stay out of their way. they're too absorbed in trying not to fall to care if you do. at first it'll be really scary and you'll feel like they're all judging you, but they're not. everyone I've met at all the skateparks I've been to has been pretty cool and chill.

Hey guys, I'm 24 yrs about 70kg. I have never rode a skateboard. I always wanted to learn skating . Planning to but a board and start soon . How easy /difficult is learning to skateboard ?
It is scary standing on the board at first. You always feel like you are gonna fall of. but keep trying, that is the way I learned it. :)
It took me a few days to figure it out what I did was try to do an Ollie in the grass and for some reason that helped a lot but it's different for other people it should only take you a week max
It can be easy or hard, it really depends on you. Get used to how your board feels and how it feels to stand on it. The advice in this video is pretty much spot-on. Take your time. Don't try tricks until you're sure you can actually move around on the damn thing without killing yourself. :)
Above all, if you love it, keep doing it. You'll get used to it eventually.

I've been skating for 2 weeks now, I got the pushing downpat by the 3rd day and learned to Ollie in just 5 days. Now I can ride and jump over curbs and little objects, still working on getting them higher. The more i keep skating the more I fall in love with it

I've pushed mongo up until a few months ago and my friend made fun of me till I stopped Lol, its a lot easier to push now and I can go a lot faster. Plus it looks a lot more professional

DrParanoidAndroid I push mongo, it feels kinda stupid when you actually pay attention to it. No one, not even pro skater kids gave me crap for it more than 14-16 years ago for me too... i stopped skating due to deck breakage and other interests for those years..
I picked up skateboarding again and obviously still find myself mongo'ing, but I am switching sometimes, it'll be cool cause your fakie/switch push will be really good, and it's also good for nollie tricks ;)
Honestly I don't get the point of the hate, sure regular wins over mongo, but in the end if you feel good riding this way, and are having fun, who cares? Adjusting the feet is no biggy, it's feels akward for non mongo pushers, but that doesn't mean mongo pushers don't adapt..
GuineaPigWWE goofy is the same as regular stance, it just means your right foot is forward instead of your left. I use the goofy stance too. I think the main one to avoid is mongo

bro i just started 2 weeks ago and im 17 already got ollies down,shuv its and working on the kick flip and bs 180s! i used to think i'd look dumb being so old and sucking at skating but after skating and having a lot of fun i didn't care. one tip i have for you which i just found out last night is the nose(front) is the longer end of the board, makes ollies and skating in general better cause thats how its ment to be lol.
i started on a super old chiped,waterlogged board with stale bushings. waiting on a freshie from skate warehouse now :D
