Next time bypass the the cylinders first mean press it down until you hear the oil filled up the cylinder then raise it on that way all air gone, when the bed is all the way up then open the tank and filled it up
All you had to do was increase the pressure on the old one. There is a adjustment for this on the valve body. Usually need a hyd pressure gauge to do it. Had the same issue with my dump bed pump. Pressure was abiut 850psi from the factory. Turned it up and now dumps a load. Nothing wrong with the pump you removed.
TJS Welding and Fabrication it was my fault, I had bought the motor new because the old one was fried. Now when I was taking it apart I also removed the valve body and screwed it all up, messing with it I got it to work, and did use it for about a year. I would have trouble sometimes with heavy loads. And just had no idea how to fix it. I still have the pump thou because I know it’s not bad. Also my other trailer has the same set up, so can use it for parts if needed.
That is a cool set up! That little pump gets with it!You really should put a small return filter in the line going back to tank . Hopefully there is a strainer or screen inside the tank protecting the intake. And a small pressure gauge will alert you to premature problems or clogged filter . Contamination is a killer, it will take out your directional control valves, that unit is exposed to the elements right? Might need to cover those valves and electrical connections. Awesome set up!
hello from El Salvador Grtruckingdemolitionllc, how to choose tank size? i have one hydraulic cylinder on a isuzu npr dumper, power unit and tank was robberd =(
Sorry for my ignorance, But I really don't know alot about Hydraulics... I worked in the underground coal mines and used alot of hydraulics but don't know alot about the specs and do's and don'ts.... I'm actually wondering how you put a hydraulic system on a vehicle? I have a willys jeep and i'm wanting to put a blade on the front that i can raise and lower with hydraulics... Years ago willys jeeps had an attachment to install a backhoe attachment... Any idea of the type of pump that it would take to install such an attachment? Thanks
I have a 1993 Winnebago Elante' mounted on a Chevy P30 Chassis. It has a hydraulic pump that runs both the power steering and the brakes. I have trouble with the pump bracket loosening or the belt stretching. This reduces the power to the pump at slow road speeds the power steering gets very difficult and the brakes then require BOTH feet on the pedal to stop. Is there an aftermarket pump assembly that can be used in place of the belt driven hydraulic pump?
Some time pump don’t have check valve, so you have to put it on in case someone by mistake press the remote button and the whole bed will come down especially when with the load, check valve before the cylinder between pump and cylinder
Always best to load more wet sand towards the back to take the the strain of the lift and helps it go up easier. So uneven the load always helps. I place a divider in my trailer which helps during certain jobs.
A protective box of some kind would go a long way to give this pump longer life. The road is vicious with road debris and water all over that. Next thing you know, the corrosion and grit make your pump weak or inoperative.
triaxle01 Same had a hard time lifting dumpsters when they were a bit heavy always had to use a bar to help it go up or use a farm jack, with this one I have picked up really heavy dumpsters and still able to lift it with no problem
I guess changing the position of cylinders shall do the trick, consider trying on a cad drawing the locus and the load. And see if you can find another position for the culinders. But keep in mind the force exerted on the chassis or any other member may destroy your trailer if it is not supported properly.
My hydraulic lift only has one hose. Should I put it on port A1 or port A2? So the hydraulic lift / piston whatever you call it. Only uses one hose. There’s no return hose.
I have a 12V double actuator spx stone fenner pump, my button was stolen and I don't know how to install it or what kind of button I can put to operate the pump again, I would be kind enough to advise on the installation and the type of keypad that would be adequate
SAMUEL INCLAN FLORES ya compraste un control nuevo para conectar ? Creo que son como 4 cables que se conectan a la pompa, uno es para el solenoide, otra es tierra, y 2 para las válvulas de sube y baja
iinventedrunescape i have a power line coming from the batteries of the truck that keep the trailer batteries charged as I drive. And the trailer batteries are connected to the pump and winch
If i were you i would probably check with the manufacturer if they don't do metal tanks instead of plastic, becuase with all the sun and vibrations it gets it would only last a couple of years
this isnt ran off of the engine. it is powered by a 12v battery. typically the power units for dump trailers are capable of 1-2gpm @ 2500psi extend, 500psi retract for power up/power down. some are power up/gravity down.
Grtruckingdemolition mine has an L bracket on end of tank that supports the tank. The bracket is on same plane as bottom of pump and has a sticker dying caution.... bracket must be bolted to frame to support tank.
I love these how to videos bro
Good job you did it right, cost a bundle for the shop to fix it.
Next time bypass the the cylinders first mean press it down until you hear the oil filled up the cylinder then raise it on that way all air gone, when the bed is all the way up then open the tank and filled it up
What fittings go on the tank to be able to connect the hoses , is it a female ORB to JIC ?

Nice video. Do you have a fuse installed between the pump and the battery? I'm trying to install a pump on a car lift trailer.
No fuse
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc thanks

You can order tank separately
Would one of these motors Run a Hydraulic PTO??? How long can it run continuously???
Hello, very good video, that oil is suitable for anyone, or it has to do with the year or how do I know what oil I can put in a bump trailer
Did you or do you ground it to the trailer?
Ground it to the trailer
Muy bueno tu contenido
There was no need to bleed them? Mine only goes up half way after shop replaced a line

This could work perfectly you just need to hydraulic hoses going on one end of the piston, and 2 returns hoses on the other end

the question i have is, it seemed a little unclear, but do you have the ground cable connected directly to the negative terminal on the battery?
No it goes to the ground on the trailer and another cable goes from the trailer ground to the terminal
Was your black under the positive to the battery?
God job man👍👍
Hey man, love the video. I need to replace mine but do you think it’ll be able to lift washed sand?
It should might struggle a bit but should go up good power

Oby-1 i have thought about that, will have to design something to cover it up. The newer trailers have a covered compartment for the pump.
How did that oil work with the pump I used it messed up my pump on my texas pride 😤
Has been working pretty good
Amazing video!
I have a question : what you installed(that Grey cylinder near oil tank) is an electric motor that powers a hydraulic pump?
Yes 12v electric motor
How much ans where did you get the pump ? Is this all you need or need a control scissor arm of some sort ?
I'm thinking about one for my dump truck. It's currently running off of a PTO on the transmission.
I would prefer what you have
Hello brother could you tell me how much cost you that pump please
$475
Would a 12V pump work for a 7/8 ton dump trailer?
Yes it does
Do you prefer the plastic tank over the metal?
Didn’t know they had metal tanks
Hi I need to know what is the Model of that unit and How many psi have because some body told me that I need a one that has 4000 psi. Thanks
What was the old pump doing. Mine has a hard time lifting the load the first three inches but then it is fine.

I'm having the exact same problem
I think those pumps use transmisión fluid Dextron II.
No it’s hydraulic
Mine is on a 93 international cab over truck. My kti pump says use dexron 3 trans fluid. Or hydraulic oil

What kind of connection is that to power from truck to trailer battery? I need one
You can find it at any trailer place not sure what the connector is called but pretty easy to install
Look like 175 amp quick connect
i need one for my f450 2007 but i don't know which one is the best
This is a good brand
you know what size for 10 tons
Think this will work for a lowboy that operates off 2200 psi?
Not sure man
Great!
How much did you pay for pump and can you please tell me where did you get it thank you
MrPelonmelambes bought it at nationwide trailers, for $450 you can find them a bit cheaper online. Just search KTI 12v hydraulic power unit
Thank you 🙏
Ouch - I bought the same one off eBay for 205 new with shipping- it just didn’t come with instructions thanks for the video
What did you run the power lines back to?

That Electric hydraulic pump That I need
Berly Mora Niño de Guzmán they are very good hydraulic pumps, very powerful and fast
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc I'd like to buy it. But I don't know if they'll send it to peru.
I have an Shimatzu Hydraulic Pump. But without the electrical motor.
Berly Mora Niño de Guzmán wow all the way from Peru nice, and I don’t think they will ship this out of the USA
Berly Mora Niño de Guzmán is it manual then ?
Do 1000 rpm hydromotor work with this unit

Farrukh Mall works great
Farrukh Mall works great
Stop there and bypass until you filled oil on two cylinders then raise it more fast also save your pump from push-ups too hard
does this work with a motorhome single slide out?
Yes as long as double action pump , this is a great pump
How many tons can it load ?
What the fitting sizes
It look good but is too much noise when is using the pump.
Daniiiel Herix seems loud on the video but it really is not, I have 4 different pumps all sound the same
How mach
If i were you i would probably check with the manufacturer if they don't do metal tanks instead of plastic, becuase with all the sun and vibrations it gets it would only last a couple of years

How fast is the engine rotating

Hi sir
12v 4-5tn Rs.
because does not used the port of trasmision
You need to bypass first before you raise the cylinder
Don't mean to sound like a total dumbass, how you do an bypass before the lifting?
😊
How many load...
yousuf furniture what do you mean by load ?
The tank will break off it has to sit in frame like your old one did. You prolly already found that out by now.
None of them sit on the ground not even the old ones, they sit 1in higher from the bolt on base
Grtruckingdemolition mine has an L bracket on end of tank that supports the tank. The bracket is on same plane as bottom of pump and has a sticker dying caution.... bracket must be bolted to frame to support tank.
You did not show how to wire actuators
Chumbi- umbi, tru la la...
I have lot of doubts
By the looks of it the design of that trailer is the worst
