This Video Goes Over Common Problems That Can Be Easily Found And Fixed With Hydraulic Systems Battery Load Tester amzn.to/3urMABT Test Light amzn.to/3AsKJk5 Volt Meter amzn.to/3OKQAFQ
I'll see exactly what you're talking about on facebook pages too. Glad you found the time to make this video! Great info I'll probably watch it 30 times until I have it down lol
Great video! If you get some time, could you do a video about the level ride system on the Fleetwoods? Where to find all the essential components and common repairs and how to make them
Normally I remove them to install hydraulics but if there is a case where I do repairs on the system I will definitely make a video I can say 93 is different then 94-96
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 I actually didn't know that. I've got a 94 commercial chassis and I think the switch in the rear end is bad. It stopped turning on the compressor to lift the rear end. No light coming up on the dash or anything like it's trying
You can use a volt meter to check the switch I'm not positive but I think all it does is connect the circuit (basicly connecting two wires together) you can ohm the switch and see if it has continuity also check and make sure you are getting power to your relay up front I belive there is also a fuse that goes to that relay under the hood
@@thecadillacdanshow8658just got a tilt trailer and the battery is good but it acts like it has no power it’ll act like the battery is dead and won’t tilt..I cleaned terminals and made sure everything was tightened
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 that solenoid is by the pump not on the pump correct, I just got this rig it’s my first tilt trailer. It looks like a big relay correct?
I will in the future I have a car I'm putting them on but they are pretty easy to install just get the fittings and tee them inline to the cylinder after the dump you can also put them directly on the cylinder itself
When I hit my switch I hear a grinding noise oil is good and battery’s as well will it be a bad motor or gear? The car goes up and down but not like it should
Could have a pump head gear going bad you can pull the tank and inspect for metal shavings there will be a little bit but if there is a lot or chunks your gear is going out
Learning to hop. Got a 3 pump with cce pumps 7 battery’s, one is dead and not connected. Caught air a few times but seems like the switch is a big laggy, kinda hard to catch any air. Also, I heard my pump do a noise where it was a long zzzztt. Then the normal zzzt sound and I wasn’t hold my switch up either. Happen one time, any idea what it could be ? Also, would 4 more battery’s and new seals in my pump and cylinders help with it taking off of the floor? Thanks
Hey bro really quick my car doesn’t threee wheel with 3 pumps and 7 battery’s not sure why I saw pictures of my car from past owner 3 wheeling idk what it is but wondering if it could be my springs or something what do you think. When I dump my front and back it only drops to about stock height
Does it have a chain bridge? Also you may want to try lifting the front first then lifting what ever rear cylinder that you want to three wheel with some people use the upper trailing arm to create a pivot point to tip a car to three wheel it's not my preference but it works
My dump trailer started recently gotten weaker I got it checked has new battery and everything electrical was good However I noticed the to bolts that mounts to the rack were lose could that have made my dump trailer weaker? I also bleed the air out on a full charge it seems a bit stronger but definitely less power then when I first got it
How do you bleed these exact pumps for the 2 pump setup where fronts going down but not going up it was locked up i let some fluid out the fittings to get it to go down but now it wont go back up
Check your fluid level if you are good close your slowdown valve and hit the switch to lift the front if it goes up your dumps may be stuck if it dosnt it could be a bad pump head seal or a broken key in very rare cases could be a bad motor but it's pretty rare but not out of the question when in doubt you can swap motors from the rear pump to the front and see if you still have the problem
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 it was just working a few seconds ago till i locked it up so if the fluid is low it could be the problem why it wont go up cause my rear is fine
One pump is for the front and the other is for the rear two separate systems when it comes to oil if the front pump is low it may not work while if the rear is full it will work just fine
Question. I got a four switch panel. One front. One rear and the third and fourth are singles for rear left and right. I got one pump to the front works fine. Two pumps to rear. One for each side. Weeks ago I would hit my second switch for both rear and they both go up nice and leveled out. Now when I hit the same switch they seem to go up at different levels. Like one starts before the other and they’re no longer level. I have to use the third and fourth switch to level out the rear. Please help. I was thinking my battery levels since I haven’t charged them? My first lifted car. Thanks🫡
I would start by making sure the batterys are fully charged you could have a switch going bad if you can try using the two rear individual switches at the same time if it still lifts unevenly you may want to load test your batterys you could have a bad one sending less voltage to one of the pumps if all batterys test good you can swap the rear hoses between the two pumps and see if the problem switches to the other side if it does you can do the same thing with the power wires coming from the solenoids to the motors to narrow down weather it's in your pump or your batterys or solenoids
Check it with the car all the way down if the pump is completely empty they normally hold 2 and 3/4 quarts. Checking fluid I just pull the tank plug and use a zip tie like a dip stick
Keeps falling after you hit the switch? Could be a dump sticking if you have two dumps on that same pump swap the dump solenoids and see if the problem changes with the swap if it stays in the same one you are having a problem with then its mechanical not electrical
Nice video! Would you know what can be the cause of car not dumping car will lift from rear but won’t dump. We did release some fluid we thought maybe “pressure locked” but still same thing.
Make sure you have 24 volts to the dump also check your ground with the car all the way down hit the dump switch and have another person have their hand on the dump and feel if its clicking. Does the pump have one dump or two?
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 The pump has two dumps and these dumps are Italian style oil system dumps we can see a red light lit up on both dumps when hitting the switch down I would think they are grounded if light comes on 🤷♀️ but we are gonna have to check
@@patriciam0415 you can try swapping the dump solenoid with the front ones and use the front switch and see if it will dump the rear if that makes sense if it still dosnt work there may be a problem with the dump itself
Not specifically but it is a easy repair just take the motor off and pull the old peices of the key out. If you can blow the opening out with air to make sure no small peices are left behind and install the new key and bolt the motor back up
Sparks is pretty normal but if it smokes it probably is getting oil in it. Pull the motor off and see if there is oil in it if so you will need to replace the seal that goes inbetween the pump head and the block

You can use a volt meter and check for resistance using the ohm setting you may also have a switch or a solenoid sticking just enough to draw power but not enough to actually run the pump I have had that happen before and almost burnt the car down
Extending the a arms will get you a little bit or using a high lock up ball joint but be aware making the ball joint longer outs more stress on that ball joint
