I tried eating Spaghettios once as an adult and couldnt even make it past the first bite. It was mushy noodles in a sauce that tasted like ketchup mixed with syrup.
I make my own pasta sauce with San Marzano tomatoes, garnish it with real Parmigiano Reggiano, and serve it with fresh pasta. I still like Spaghettios.

I legit made this the day I saw the vid for the first time bc I was really curious to know how much better they'd be vs the canned stuff....and let me tell you this was truly AMAZING!!!!!!! That looks delicious, but there's something about the soupy nature and flavor of the original that I'd feel is missing here. I'd eat it, though. Also, I'd like to see Claire do a Gourmet Makes of SpaghettiOs now and have a head-to-head with this afterward.
Those meatballs are great. I love how he scooped them uniformly but then rolled them by hand; the two fork mix technique is impressive. I'm going to start doing that. Great recipe.
I'm watching this while sitting on my floor with the hot plate I use to make candles, a dr. pepper and vodka, and a can of spaghettios in a tiny $70 saucepan. It's 2:45am. I'll be 31 in June. Spaghettios are soooo good imo

Yeah, i woulda microplaned Parm into more al dente pasta retaining quite a bit of the starchy water with a big chunk of butter, emulsify, sauce.
