    This is a complete tutorial on how not to deadlift
    U didn't talk about ur shin angle,and judging by your form,i can tell that u don't know shit about that.
    The bar has to be as close to ur body as possible,the further it gets away from u,u are leaving pounds out there which u could otherwise deadlift with proper form.
    Your hips shoot up before the bar gets above your knees which puts too much pressure on the lower back,which results in missed reps and injures.
    U also suggest that one should keep their butt as close to the ground as possible,which is the biggest mistake in the deadlift,u will squat the weight up instead of deadlifting it.
    The alternating(mixed)grip is fine,but i can put uneven stress on the shoulders which will lead to muscle imbalances . To prevent the bar from slipping,a hook grip is used.
    You have to lift the bar as if u are leg pressing the floor away from from you

    Hope ppl don't fall for this shit and actually do research about these topics before believing any of the garbage advice this wannabe fitness guru says

      Look with how much confidence he says "your hips should be as far from your shoulder level as possible".
      I was like, "dafuq bro?".
      And just by seeing the icon of the video, you can see his neck is not neutral at whatever baby weights he is using.
      And he is coaching the deadlift.

      I was wondering if someone is going to point this out. All the Indian youtubers I see teach the deadlift wrong. That’s why I don’t follow these guys.
      I don’t know why these guys give false knowledge to their audience.
      And when he says lower the butt, the dude does the one thing that he absolutely should not do. That is, moving the bar forward.

      Exactly my thoughts! Thanks for pointing out. I learned it from Alan Thrall as well, he has tons of great tips and specially points out what to do and what not to do for the deadlift.

    My tips:
    Always use chalk. No matter how weak you are. Especially in India because it's hot and your hands will be sweaty.
    Build up to atleast 100kg to 120kg approx with overhand grip before starting mixed grip.
    Once you learn the form, don't be afraid to go heavy. Everyone should be able to do around 140 to 180 in a year.

      Good info. Totally agree. Did overhand till 135kg. Mixed grip instantly added 20+ kgs. But had I not done overhand first, that grip strength carryover would not have been there. I'm not one to mindlessly increase weight. Just enough to keep progressing injury free...good advice.

    I would like to point out one thing .. I saw a lot of videos including athleanx and Alan thrill etc. They always tell that when the bar pulled upto the knees from the ground, we just need to press from.our legs ND do nothing from our lower back,and once bar crosses the knees we have to start using our posterior chain and lower back to pull it up further.. this is quite contradictory to your video . Can u please clear that out ?

    Just for public awareness I am writing this comment. Most of the Deadlift technicalities in this video is absolutely wrong. People who are advance level bodybuilder understand that while the beginners dont. You'll end up developing posture deformities like Anterior Pelvic Tilt and issues in Hip Flexors if you keep following improper form. Instead follow some authentic physiotherapist channel rather than bro science shared in this channel.

    your back should not have an arch !! it should be absolutely straight. shoulder plates pulled together. you HINGE from your hips and pretend you are reaching an imaginary wall with your butt. Grip does not have to be tight. That's BS because you don't lift with your arms you life "with your legs". - coming from a Crossfiter

      Not necessary all time ....belt is used to tight you core. ... If, you lifting too heavy in deadlift or in squats ... Then, don't forget to wear lifting belt ... Because, it will help to lift more and more weight ...

    Bro i heared from another expert just before crossing the knees we need to push as if we are leg pressing (Not with the back as u suggested instead push the weight up with legs) and after knees all the work to be done by glutes and lower back.....I am confused with your suggestion above...Pls clarify(Science the shit out of it) :-)
