Rep Range Science : • How Many Reps Should Y...
One of the biggest fitness questions that most young INDIAN lifters seem to have is - SHould you lift heavy or light to build muscle? Lifting heavy or light weights to build muscle is a complicated topic. But in today's video I've tried breaking it down as simply as i can. I feel that its an essential part of learning when it comes to weight training for beginners. The best rep range for YOU - whether you should lift heavy weights or light weights - depends on a number of factors. The best rep ranges for muscle growth, the best rep range for size and the best rep range for strength is one complicated topic. Heavy or light weights depend on YOUR goal. Should you lift heavy weight with low reps or lift weight for more reps - The answer lies in today's super special weight training video.

the gym i joined, the trainer there treated me like shit just because I'm not fit and he was talking to the other not so unfit girls so nicely and was polite to them while training just because they were fit. nice no? that's why i left that place and now I'm doing it at home with your guidance :) you're the sweetest.

This guy is having a nice way of explaining things to the people and I've never seen someone with that amount of knowledge about bodybuilding. The way you relates it to the science is commendable and it makes sence as well at the same time. In other words you are the best person if someone is looking for an advice on bodybuilding.

I am 100% not interested in aesthetics, I only want to be the strongest skater on the track. I've been on a 5x5 program for about a month and started questioning it recently because I'm starting to get big, which is *not* my goal. Is what it is, though, I'm glad to know it won't get out of control! Thanks for clearing that up!

You should also focus on strength training for girls. The way these bulky men look down upon women in the weights area is another thing that sucks big time.

    • @NIHAL960
      @NIHAL960 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Women can't be as strong as man no matter how much weight training they do, both the genders have their own set of strength and weaknesses.

    • @hyderkhan9867
      @hyderkhan9867 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Women have been led to believe touching heavy wts will make them bulky, the magazines, models have propogated this idea so deep women dont do strength training gym owners know this so they just make women do some trendy stuff without any planning.I personally dont look down on women always encourage them to go heavier.Real convo I had with 2 girls doing a set of 30 bodywieght half sqts .
      Me-Hi,how many reps?
      them-3×30
      Me-can you show me one?
      Them-shows a half sqt
Me- shows them to sqt ask them to look at the mirror and compare the angle
Them -trys it does 2 says OMG its much harder now
Me-Ya and you have to do 30 like this did u hire per trainer
Them-yes but he just told us this is some pop insta models routine
Me-thats not a prob if youre not doing it right you wont get the results?
      Them-thanks for the tip
Me-Mam why dont you try using some wt and do 8reps
Them-No,heavy makes you bulky we dont want that.
Me-ok nice talking(cringing inside as they were paying a lot at a high end gym to do this)
      Them-same.
Another one me doing warmup with 100kg on sqts heard a girl and trainer talk
      her-I want to try it
trainer-no that will make you bulky, besides sqts are unsafe
      her-can you do that ?
trainer-no I cant, its not safe that guys taking huge risk or hes born strong
her-yeah maybe he was born that way

Supercool video n supercool knowledge. Nice work man and thanks for sharing your knowledge on TH-cam. These tiny bits of knowledge help with experience and improve training, specially for those who are not taking personal training.
Just 2 things to keep in mind for next videos bro, your body language. Your hands are expressive but you need to keed your head calm a bit.
Secondly, I know this is difficult but try to wrap up your knowledge in somewhere between 5 to 8 mins. Now this may be personal thing and I can't say that for anyone else but try to keep the video under 10 min bracket. Thanx again for that precious knowledge.

Buddy, i am on keto from last 20days. Yesterday i was sweating with hell lot of salt. When i googled the reason, i found this. Kindly have a look at this and make us understand more clearly.
From "The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living"
Low carb diets are natriuretic - they make the kidneys dump sodium. Sodium deficiency can cause headache, dizziness and fatigue. With continued low carb intake and sodium restriction, at some point your kidneys start to excrete potassium in order to conserve sodium. Potassium deficiency can lead to muscle cramps, cardiac dysrythmia. it can also cause the body to lose muscle, even when there's plenty of protein in the diet.

Hey, Really helpful guidelines about Body building and strength building...Thanks..
So I work out single body part in a day for like 45 mins and then cardio for 45 mins as I have fat belly.. so I wanted to ask that if I am working on my biceps like 4 sets with 20 reps with lower weight on first week and then next week on biceps day if I go heavy with lower reps would it be helpful building strength and body at the same time?

I didn't understand the concept of playing with reps. How do I schedule a workout for it? For example, I shud perform a one exercise with higher reps and the second exercise with lower reps?...Is that what is to be done?
