WOW !!!!! Why haven't any of the other videos told that the MAP sensor is incorporated in the EGR. They show pictures of the part on the net as though it is a separate part but no diagrams as to the location. I have wasted a lot of time trying to find out this information that you gave in the first 2 minutes of this video. THANKS
Same here, showing codes for sensor causing misfires on 3 cylinders, haven't found a single video to make it this easy yet. One video said 2006-2010 but my 2006 was nothing like what they were showing and manual didn't help much.
Just found your video, been chasing this issue for over a year. I’ve replaced throttle body, intake manifold, both map sensors. I was discouraged to replace the EGR cause I couldn’t break loose the 2 bolts. I also found the PCV valve behind the left valve cover clogged which caused oil into the intake manifold. I need to find a way to break loose those 2 mount bolts. Great explanation. Thanks.
This video is coming right on time for my 07’ mountaineer. I was driving up a mountain towards West Point when the CEL hit. I scanned it and got P0108. I reset the light to see if I can replicate the issue. If it does come back now I know exactly what I need to do. Thank you very much for this! Perfect video and explained that the MAP/EGR are one.
Thank you for your professional, well narrated videos. I watch for educational purposes, rather than how to repair a problem I'm having. Keep up the excellent work!
@@backyardchevy328 hi, I just subscribed to your channel I really like your videos. Question, I have a 2008 ford explorer 4.0 the engine light is on and when I check the codes it was multiple codes like p0135, p0141,p0155, p0161,p0403,p0443 . I have replaced the egr valve and the purge solenoid the front and underneath the car as well , the same exact codes still there the car run rough sometimes and died while I'm driving it. Any ideas?
@@showme20able well seems u got issues with ur oxygen sensors and the wiring..check to see if any of the wiring to the sensor 1 oxygen sensor's on both banks for damage or if not possibly the heater circuit on the sensors may be bad and that could cause majority of those codes
i have a unrelated question to video i am getting a p0183 code on my 2007 ford explorer sport trac xlt. i ham not sure where it is located? please help if you can thanks
I had the same problem last night. I let some pb blaster. (Penetration lube) sit on it for 5 minutes, and with the help of a cheater bar it busted loose without much damage to the nut .
Dam thank you I just needed to know if it was connected to the egr.as I cN see but saved me some time thanks I hope that's my problem my autel in the red to😢😢😢😢for power steering pressure switch too...I have new rack and Pinon and pump😢😢😢
Excellent video, finally someone who knows how to not waste viewer’s time 👍

Isn’t it a MAF sensor and not a MAP sensor??
@davidwilson2214 MAF is mass air flow sensor, not the same
Finally a video telling me what I need to know to fix my damn truck

Mines ij limp mode rn
I got this same code and bought a new one and replaced it and my engine light still on. Do I gotta drive it for a while for the light to come off?
Hi,
Is the light turned off after driving or is it still on?
@safae.u try reseting the check engine light and see if it comes back
How much of a difference can the map readings be like mine says kpa 14.98 and map kpa 15.08 is it good or does it have to be exactly the same

What scan tool do you use?
OK as mentioned earlier egr valve replaced but now my car doesn’t wanna drive. I don’t understand what’s going on
Any tips for the exhaust tube nut being stuck on there? I'm afraid if I try any harder to loosen it I'm going to break something important

Awesome video
How big is the screwdriver?
Just got a PO402 but I replaced my EGR about 2 months ago ???
Could be baro sensor
I just changed mine and it's still turning off when I stop
Wish mine was that easy. On ford 500
Jealous how your hold down bolts move so easy. I'm heaving a blast trying to loosen the bolts.
Maybe is this part that made my van laud
I think that it’s the M A F not map sensor
Heellloooooooo😗😗😗
Hey buddy🙂
