By far the hardest part of this job is that back mounting bolt. That bolt alone took me 40 min and the entire process was 65 minutes... this video shows him removing that back mounting bolt by hand :). Still a very helpful video. Probably wouldn't have tried it on my own without it. Many thanks.
Thank you. This is the most complete method for replacing this Valve on the site. When I removed mine the vacuum hose connecting the two inlet/outlet tubes on the valve was missing. I couldn't find any information on what connected to those spouts. Your very clear video showed what went there. I suppose a new valve would have had the hose on it as yours did, but I didn't need to replace the valve. I even removed the Intake Manifold trying to find the "non-existent" vacuum hoses. I wish I had found your video prior to that!
this has better instructions than the Haynes manual. The manual didn't show the nut on the upper left throttle body. And the manual doesn't have the bolt sizes. Sooooo handy !!!!!
A very good informative video. You should have mentioned that now is the time to replace the throttle body assembly since explorers do have issues with them anyway. It appears you just now replied your throttle body assembly as well. Good informative video though 👍
My red/black hose is cracked before the rubber, It's probably my issue besides the EGR but I definitely need to fix the hose. What is that part called and do you have another video by chance to show its replacement?
I appreciate your video it's totally awesome but you really make this stuff look super simple and easy but I think I can do it thank you so much I was going to buy a 2010 Ford expedition and now I think I'm going to go ahead and buy one cuz just a little bit of problems that you describe or that I saw those are all easy fixes thank you so much for the video keep making more videos
I replaced mine 2 years ago and it looks like it has already failed . Has anyone had this happen before ? I even used the motorcraft replacement. Maybe needs to be cleaned ?
I have a 2010 ford sport trac the problem is that when I try to drive off the truck doesn’t move it gives a little push but from there nothing it’s like if I had the hand break on but obviously it doesn’t same when I try to go back it does the same. When I change gears it also makes a small bang i put in the FIXD system scanner & it says this is the problem but I want to be 100% sure
