Honda Civic Slow Crank Issues.... *NEW* Starters, Grounds & Terminals for EG Hatch!!!!

On today's video the little hatchback has been taking a little extra long to start... It's not really an issue of NOT starting just an issue with taking a little bit too long to ACTUALLY start so I change out some old parts for some new stuff!!!

The battery tie down is for accidents so your battery doesn't just catapult / start a fire.
You should have your OEM starter rebuilt. Aftermarket starters and alternators aren't very reliable.
The valve cover ground is basically just to prevent arcing and possible fire with the oil underneath, it's not a required ground for operation, but what I like to do is move it to the rear valve cover bolt and connect it to the drivers side shock tower. It's very out of the way there and you'll pretty much never notice it.

I thought I needed a new starter but it was that one loose wire on the starter that was messed up like yours. I tightened it up and it works fine.

@@projectgoodspeed my 96 civic is swapped with a b20b and all the ones that come up are different, my original one has that small spiral around the drive gear but everyone that comes up doesn’t have that

@chaseblaze6660 well the part number for mine is specifically just for D series. Since yours is swapped, you're gunna need a B series starter. I'm sure you can just type in a CRV on AutoZone or advance auto website and they'll filter starters on there for you to choose.

With our cars u have to hold the button until it starts. Remember we have a old car lol. Mine do that too.

Jo wtf... I got the same problem with my battery! I tightend it but it is not that tight and it is original..

@@projectgoodspeed the car starts fine starter is not the problem. Only the connection to the battery mass cannot be tightend so there is always a bit of play
