I love that concept of looking more powerful on your own way and less like everybody else. That you don't need to fit in beauty standars but embrace your nature and get the most out of it. Honestly thank you so much for such a quality content.

I tried the Kibbe test a few weeks ago and my result was dramatic classic. I took it a few times and got the same result until recently when I took the test while referring to my body in the mirror and not from a photo, I got the result Natural body type! I feel like this result is more accurate and I’m so surprised by how little I knew my body before. I never paid much attention to how different my body is from other girls and I always thought the only difference is in body weight. This makes me appreciate my body type so much more now!
I still cannot figure it out. It doesn't help that I am probably 40lbs overweight.

I'm a soft dramatic and for the first time in forever I've done a wash and done hairstyle and although my hair is healthy and nice in itself, it just looks sloppy on me. Being a soft dramatic really demands some work, I find. But I'm so, so, so grateful for these guidelines. They make so much sense!!! Thank you, Ali for spreading the knowledge. You're the best!!!
Absolutely agree. It’s work to be a SD. I wear a full face of almost pageant like make up daily and still look casual! Lol!

I know the struggle, my nordic fine and thin hair is quite far from the thick luscious Sofia Loren locks haha
For everyday wear I have learned to ignore the flatness because when I have my hair long (mid back/waist/tail bone) and with it's natural slight 2A wave it's dramatic enough because of the length and soft/rounded enough because of the shapes even if it's thin. Maybe very long hair could be a good way for everyone who needs it to add drama without it being too sharp like blunt bangs or short blunt cuts :)
Exactlyyy I'm a soft dramatic with very exotic features, such as big lips, big but almond shaped eyes, prominent cheekbones and my blond hair are thick but so damn straight. I know I look better with waves but my hair are also very hard to shape. What can I do? What do you do with that struggle?
oh, same! I NEED volume, but I have fine, pin-straight hair that invariably falls flat when I try to style it! (at least it's thick. I may also be too attached to length)
The trick I resort to most of the time is flipping it to one side after it's been accustomed to lying on the other side.
The worst thing about my hair is when it worries me by mysteriously breaking off in unusual amounts. But it doesn't last long.
@@franovak2654 I've given up for everyday life. I've damaged my hair a lot in the past trying to curl it or getting a perm. Now I style it just for special occasions, but after 24h I'm back at the start

Same here! I've tried wispy before and they looked terrible on me and now I know why! I always love the look of mine when they are thick, full, and rounded. Now it makes sense with my body type.

I seriously had no idea what one I was I saw some real life examples on Merriam , and between these two girls I was able to make my shopping experience easier. I also donated almost have of my clothes because they were the wrong lines. I was always drawn to this type of clothing too. I couldn't see myself in a tight cardigan, but a leather for sure😊

thanks I m a soft dramatic and I love bangs I already felt like rounded bangs and heavy bangs looks better on me but I think what helps is that my hair is curly and the volume is important cause we are heavy women so it make more balance with the body so I ve been working on having not only thicker hair but also thicker brows I think that makes all the difference :)
I got clip in extensions at the beauty supply store and it changed my life. I went from thin hair to a buxom exotic vixen overnight as a SD lmao
Oh Aly, these help so much! As a SD with straight (and green) hair I'm struggling to find that richness/softness. My style is edgy and unconventional and I would LOVE to see your take on alternative fashion on the types!
Depending on length I’ve found that a half up half down look is good on me. Especially on days I don’t want to style my full hair it makes it look clean and not undone. I am also SD.
I wish, you would write a book about your knowledge of all what you know about styles, beauty etc., because it’s amazing ❤️
Have you ever thought about doing online consultations? I've watched most of your videos and they are wonderful but I'm still confused when it comes to classifying myself. It would be so great if there was a way to submit photos to be evaluated for body type, face shape, skin color and undertone, etc. I know that skin color may be difficult due to screen color differences.
Would you ever consider offering online consultations? With your in depth knowledge of body types I'm sure you could charge a good amount.
In one of her videos in the comments, she mentioned people could donate through PayPal and send photos by email for a basic answer on what Kibbe type you are. She used to do full explanations but it took too much time up after her other jobs etc so she stopped. Sorry, I can't remember which video. x

Ok i definitely soft dramatic. I had curtain bangs and it fit me amazing, and then i had more straight and its something was missing/strange and i coukdnt understand what , for awhile, but after a month when fringe grew little bit , became more rounded, i absolutely love it again. What I find reeeeally fascinating, is that we are all born with exactly what we need to look great in our own bodies, but then we go changing things, and it all gets confusing. Like when I was younger, I used to straighten my hair. My hair grows naturally wild and thick. So the thing to do was to make it straight or straight-er, or to 'flatten' it somehow, so it would look neat. But the way my hair grows, wild and thick, is exactly what flatters my frame (Natural). So fascinating.

I’m a soft dramatic too and I think most hairdressers are used to cut whiskey layers but even before I knew I was a soft dramatic I always lived blunt haircuts on myself!

I look like a dramatic I think. I have no curves, I have broad shoulders, a long thin face. I'm boney and straight as a board lol. But I'm short. 5'2". My legs and arms are long but my torso is short. Regular length pants are often to short for me same with long sleeves. I'm always trying to correct my harsh bony look but I don't do a good job. I have long hair down to my butt because it's the only feminine softness I can control. I only realized this after watching your videos though. You are teaching me a lot so thank you!

I re-watched her body type video and I think you're right about me being a gamine. She said they are small and I'm definitely small. I always found it weird that my ring size is a 3 and I have to shop for baby/children size bracelets lol. My daughters 9 and her wrists are bigger than mine and she's small for her age. My bones are small but harsh in my eyes. Could be because I'm to skinny too.
Momma Bear The easiest way is to see if you have ying and yang features randomly in your body. Like you have long lean limbs (like dramatics) do you have romantic features too? Like big eyes? Thick lips? Small hands? Etc

I'm more and more confused. My face is more like dramatic, but I have a very feminine figure (my figure looks best without any clothing on) but the worst thing is, I have natural wild curls. It's like I got mixed up with three different body types that don't even match at all. Anybody got the same problem and worked it up? At the moment I look like a man with a very feminine figure and weird hair :'D
Personally, I don't think your natural hair has much to do with the results of your test. If you google 'kibbe yin yang chart' that might help you since you have trouble matching the 3 body categories together. Another helpful tip is to take the test objectively. Take a step back and pretend you're evaluating someone else's body, so you don't go in with what you /think/ your body looks like. Also, if you really do have a mismatched face/body, you could try blending the two types together, with the facial type closer to the face and the body type closer to the body.

Clothes are constricting on SD sometimes! My new vibe is loose flowy Kaftans! And I’ll knot the bottom to add some shape!

Im still not overly sure if i am dramatic or soft dramatic. I think my bone structure fits more to soft dramatic, but i am quite underweight right now so i come accross as more similar to dramatic
My current hair is like 9:42, except the bangs have more volume and my hair is wavier. I think it suits me better than my previous hairstyles! (I'm guessing I'm soft dramatic, but I can't be sure)
Given Keira Knightly is a dramatic, why does she always look so "vulnerable" and delicate? Aren't her bones supposed to make her look fierce?
BTW, dear Aly, could you, please, make a video on the difference between the heavy bones of dramatics and the heavy bones of naturals? Can they both wear rich and bulky/voluminous bangs?

Hair, makeup and styling so she can play a variety of roles. In seasonal color analysis, Keira is a Deep Autumn which explains a certain sensuality about her that can help if she is not wearing correct lines. But she often looks gaunt, severe and malnourished as soon as she forefeits her coloring as well.
Dramatics have longer bones (long arms, long legs etc.) than naturals and their bodies are often "dryer". With typically less muscle too. Naturals have wider bones, wider shoulders and more muscle and less vertical line.
I think Keira has a veery strong chin and angular cheekbones that give her the drama. It's her signature feature. Despite her expressive eyes and rather full lips though. Her body is very lean, dry, tall-looking and angular.
She looks best in dramatic edgy styles but they always but her in sweet romantic looks and I hate it lol

I’d say that it’s her height and her curves and especially the bust. For some reason SD seem to have breasts that look like they are floating on their chest. I’m one of them. Her, Billie eilash at the met gala looked very SD also.
