I am a twenty year old soft dramatic. Thank you so much for this especially the comparison photos because as a young soft dramatic I always have tried to shrink myself as I thought I looked way older than my age but now I realize it is just the way I am and that it's absolutely gorgeous. Please do a soft dramatic style for younger women. We really would appreciate it. Thank you and take care Aly.
You're so lucky cos in my opinion you have the best body type as you're tall, slim but yet curvy too. I've always wanted to look like that but I can't as I'm a 5ft 2 Flamboyant Gamine, but it's only recently that I've learnt to accept the way that I look and the fact that I'll look young for my age for years, well hopefully anyway! 😂 x
@@chantalallan8019 Oh I hear what you are saying. It is always a challenge to find that balance between admiring other women's bodies while simultaneously loving your own the same way. But real talk, I think Gamines are super attractive in a subtle yet sexy way. for a soft dramatic you really have to know yourself to finally unlock all your pontetial. I think most yang types have this in common.
I have talked with some SD and have read several articles, while researching what should I wear. Am I the only one who noticed that a lot of SD were bullied in school for being ugly and then became the sexual (not always a beauty at the same time) icon in media or in their circle? I think it's because SD appereance is a bit mature and more sexy then cute and pretty in comparison to N and F types, so before puberty they might look "too big"and awkward.
definitely felt this. as a young teen i had very pronounced curves and i always felt so awkward seeing how mature my body looked compared to my colleagues
This was definitely my experience. I’m an SD. I was an ugly duckling, to put it mildly, as a teen. Very heavy, mature looking, etc. Once I hit my 20s, everything changed. From all I’ve read and been told, Soft Dramatics tend to be the one ID that especially needs some maturing to come into their own. Most of the verified SDs seem to get better and better with age such as Monica Bellucci, Sophia Loren, etc.
I wish many women knew about this "Type" of body types. So they wouldnt be so insecure about their bodies. The media not being able to fool them that the "ideal" body types are the likes of Victoria's Secret models or Hollywood actresses mostly have "Dramatic" body types. My mom has a "Natural" body type and my sister has a "Romantic" body type.
I bet it would at least help. For me it was the realization that my body type legit is a thing, not just an unfortunate mismatch of features that couldn't be turned into an "ideal" body no matter how hard I exercised and dieted. There was suddenly more than just a "beautiful and slender and slim" category, there was now also a "beautiful and handsome and robust" category that I was able to fall in without feeling like I'm giving up. After years of feeling inadequate I didn't just fall short in every aspect of what I was "supposed" to be in my mind, I was not the disappointing "close but not close enough" that I always thought I was, I was not a random collection of "meh" body parts that previously had to be worked on to be less like what they always were. I am actually a perfect representation of something other than the old ideal I thought I had to be like now. There is a valid "new" type that I represent, a type that looks good and looks like ME, that is not just a second best option and doesn't mean settling for what I can't improve, because nothing has to be improved. Suddenly, in my eyes, I'm beautiful.
"Dramatics are frame dominant, not curve dominant". You are so good at explaining things simply. Just that statement cleared it up for me... that it has nothing to do with weight. Even when I was at my skinniest, I was still fleshy and more rounded, especially in the hips and upper arms. This is such a great channel - you cover it all!
This has confirmed I'm SD! It was so clear to see when comparing all the body types. I'm 5ft 10 tall so I can't possibly be anything but D SD or FN. I'm not D, so I've been confused between SD and FN for a long time. I always gravitate to SD style. And no waist emphasis makes me look absolutely massive and messy. I have this curve dominance too. I've always felt big and heavy and not because I'm overweight but because my natural frame is really big. I'm very tall so it makes sense that I would feel this way. My sister is as tall but she is so narrow and straight, she is a D for sure. I'm so shocked because I've always judged myself and felt big and ugly, I've always felt twice the size of other women, and like there's something dominating about me, I'm not delicate and I've always resented it. But when I see all these SD women I realise how beautiful and sexy they are. Its really changed how I feel about my body type. ❤️
I feel you, sis! all my life I tried to fit into D/FN styles and ended up looking like a sack. Not to mention the hassle of finding jeans that fit around the hipbones 🤦🏻♀️ The day I came across Alyona's videos everything made sense. ♥
This just shows you how messed up women are because of the fashion industry. OK, I'm gay and love fashion. But I keep telling girls, fashion models are the standard of beauty for GAY MEN. I have straight guy friends and they keep telling me - tall and thin is not hot ! Average height, even shorter, and CURVY is hot. Since you're very tall, but you have curves, so you're still attractive to most men, in my opinion and experience ( seeing what straight guys I know like ) You look very pretty in your profile pic too, your face looks very slim and oval, so I don't know what you mean by big frame.
Never related to something more. I’ve never been fat but somehow I always felt bigger and heavier than other women, and why?? Well, now i know. SD are not narrow and thin, we have larger bones, like large knees, large shoulders, large hips; all of that bones, not necessarily fat. Interesting
@@cheong728 I just think that you don't need to criticize a type to compliment the other. Dramatics have never been the standard beauty if not on a runway, just ask how highschool was for the super thin and tall girls in class. Everyone has their own struggles, and shine in their unique way.
SDs don't have a dominant frame. A long one, yes, but not a wide one. I'm a 5'10 SD and have noticeably narrower shoulders, waist and wrists than my 5'8 FN friend who is way skinnier than me.
4:36 SD vs Dramatic 7:21 SD vs Romantic 8:45 SD vs Theatrical Romantic 9:47 SD vs Classic 11:06 SD vs Soft Classic 11:37 SD vs Dramatic Classic 12:10 SD vs Natural 12:45 SD vs Soft Natural 13:30 SD vs Flamboyant Natural 15:19 SD vs Gamine 15:57 SD vs Soft Gamine 16:39 SD vs Flamboyant Gamine
Same! I was a bit confused if I was really SD or not. But I think I'm sure now. It's impossible to look good without emphasizing my waist. But when I do, oh my goodness! I'm not as curvaceous as the women in the videos. But it's mostly the fat distribution in my face, legs, and arms that give me the softness.
Dear Aly, meeting with your channel turned my whole life upside down! Being a Soft Dramatist I have looked at the Classics and Gamins for soooo many years - tried to lose weight and come closer to the same proportions. I was violate myself physically and mentally. And only now, when I'm watching your videos I'm starting to accept myself, understand who I am. It's priceless! Thank you so much for being here! I love you! With all my heart!!!
There's a difference between size and fleshiness in the chest area. Ava Gardner, Barbara Streisand, Lana Turner, Rachael Weisz (and me) are B cups. For years I was stuck between D and FN because I wasn't so big and then professionally typed SD. Goodness, I feel so much better and turns out most of my closet is SD. 🙂
I would say, the main thing which they have in common is ornateness. Besides this, they are very different. Soft Dramatic has exotic noble essence, Theatrical Romantic has more retro vampy essence.
@@peacefreedomandwealth I think that teatru al romantics alcool have a noble essence (catrine zeta jones, și us supuse to be kibbe verifica) but when you see them togeder in the exemples that ally gives you can see how similar they are
@@peacefreedomandwealth this comment made me realize that I'm probably a SD! Body wise I could be a SD or a TR but what you said about a exotic noble essence really resonates with me because everyone always told me I looked regal and I've also had people tell me I looked exotic.
Yes! THAT is exactly why I’m here lol I am NOT in fact a TR. I was fooled! Thank goodness because Im so OCD... I won’t even tell you how stressed I was 😹
Soft Dramatics, Theatrical Romantics and Soft Naturals are different mixes of softness and boldness. They're all very beautiful and exude a different interesting vibe. :)
Oh thank you,I am SN and always felt kind of too much, too soft and too curvy, but I am on my way to start loving myself. Thank you for your kind words. ❤😘
@@manicpanic7423 I'm also SN! You're welcome... :) I've come to love being SN, it's a very beautiful body type and I'm loving it more and more each day. 😉💜
Being a Flamboyant Natural whenever I see Soft Dramatics, I get confused. I recognize myself in them. Am I not embracing my femininity? But then when I see their clothes, I know they make me look ridiculous. Flamboyant Natural clothes make me feel and look like myself. This series is so insightful, thank you Aly!
I literally have the opposite reaction to Flamboyant natural- I always feel like I might be one, but I look much, much better in SD lines. I'm a size 2-4 but somehow if it doesn't have waist emphasis I look overweight.
I'm completely confused as my body looks like bodies on 2:48 in the video but SD big ornaments just don't suit me. Also, most of SD outfits is a big no no. I look way better in relaxed FN layering but never without some kind of waist emphasis and never in V neckline. No matter how much I try I find really hard to put myself in Kibbe moulds as when I dress up intuitively I look way better. (and get more compliments). Still, it's interesting to watch and read the comments.
I feel the same but as she said, it is also a vibe. However you can take certain elements from each. For example i enjoy deeper necklines like wrap tops or flowy scarves but I balance it with more tailored or strict more masculine pieces
I can tell about the haircut. Once I cut my hair too short and when I see a picture of my whole body I see a very small head compared to the rest of the body 🤣😅
@@naturally_roisin to me, it depends more on the general look. Me, for example, I shouldn't be a SD because I am too short (1.63m) but I fit in the rest of things. I look OK with long dresses and I look taller than I am because of my long arms and legs. I think SN have more athletic body and SD more fleshy.
@@laurarl9261 You dont have to be tall to be a SD! Mae West is a verified SD (161 cm)... Tall women can only be D, SD, N or FN, but short women can be everything! ;) Im a 163cm SD!
This video helped me to confirm my ID as Soft Dramatic. I've been doubting it a little because my face isn't super sharp (it has some blunt bones like Rachel Weisz and Morena Baccarin) and because I'm a ''pear shape'' and most stereotypical Soft Dramatics I see have bigger boobs. I was wondering if I was a curvy FN like Jennifer Lawrence but I don't think so, since even when I had very low body fat I still had pronounced curves and didn't look athletic at all.
I'm also "pear shape" in a way (small chest, thick lower body) but I have wide sharp shoulders and fleshy upper arms, so I think I'm def still SD/hourglass
@@andressamazgka That's me too! My shoulders aren't super sharp and they don't ''appear'' wide because I have very wide hips but they are not small either, and I look very good with shoulder emphasis. The fleshy upper arms are so true for SD, a lot of the verified SDs have them even when they are very thin [I have them too].
@@shironerisilk interesting, I think you are that type of soft dramatic that has a bit more wideness-squareness to their bone structure. Mine is extremely narrow and sharp so I think that's why my shoulders are more noticeable. My fleshy upper arms were my biggest insecurity lol I hope being fully comfortable with it one day
@@andressamazgka Yes, I think you are right. A bit more square/wide/blunt than most textbook SDs but not enough to fall into the Natural family. The first thing people notice about me is my height followed by the curves, but I personally feel I lack a bit of sharpness I see in other SDs (even if I can be narrow at points with a small waist (and a small waist/hip ratio), elongated limbs and narrow hands and feet. My shoulders are a bit more sloped, I think almost like SN shoulders. About the fleshy upper arms, they used to make me so inscure too, but seeing the SD body type celebrities helped me a bit so I don't feel that bad anymore lol Also sharp shoulders on SDs [like you mentioned you have] look amazing, it's a great feature to have.
@@shironerisilk yepp, I don't think all SDs have to have exact same bone structure. There's SDs with more squarish vibe like Sophia, also some have more sloped shoulders, like the ginger lady Aly showed in this video (dk her name :v) and also makes me think of Rihanna, a lot of people consider her SD although she has smaller sloped shoulders (I honestly don't know if she is or isn't, but it's a possibility). What really make an SD is the long vertical line e being curve dominant. Ah and thanks for the compliment, sometimes I think it looks pretty cool but sometimes I feel like it looks too masculine lol I'll try to accept it more jkskks
At 5'11, and with curves, I'm definitely a soft dramatic. Felt so awkward as a teenager but as many of you said before, people start viewing our style as attractive as we grow into our power 🌟 Thank you Aly for this video!
I am also SD and the same height! The only downside is that this edgy casual baggy jeans and tee look that is popular now doesn’t work well on SD! I hate that my friends can look so cute casual but I look like the homeless bum down the street! We as SD have to put effort even into looking casual and effortless. It’s exhausting! Lol!
Finally!!! I always tought that I was a romantic or a soft classic and I am sure I am soft dramatic now. I have the same body as Christina Hendricks and it's really hard to style it
Yes, love the comparison videos, they are so helpful! The one where she compares the celebrity body types was super helpful to me, its how I finally nailed down my type 😊
Aly I love your videos. You helped me so much. I understand now so much better, but still learning. I hate it that some people don't appreciate any insight and have: "I'll wear what I want, I won't let anyone tell me otherwise." attitude. Well, obviously it's not for you, no need to spoil it for others. For me hearing you talk about different body types is not only useful, but gives me confidence. All my life I thought I am not good enough and no matter what I did, I couldn't fit in with most of the trends. I rejected fashion, but had no replacement. Sometimes I'd get it right and find something that made me look and feel great, but could not pin it down. Now I'm learning why. It makes looking for new clothes so much easier, now I observe what other women are wearing and can decide whether it would work on me or not and not blindly just wish I could be more like them.
3:43 this confirmed it for me. The proportions, why some clothes and lengths that look awesome on other people make me look huge regardless of weight. Why a pixie cut just didn't fit my frame. It makes so much sense now!!!
The easiest look for the soft dramatic would be pin up girl :). I know for me I'm a true hourglass figure but my waist is not a skinny now that I'm older, and it was always tiny. Its slso takes much working out to keep the fleshy parts under control!
I was confused between whether or not I’m a soft dramatic or soft natural. This clarifies it for me. I’m definitely a soft dramatic. Thank y it for this video. Turns out, I already dress to accomodate this. It took me about 27 years to learn what styles work on me. And I’m now 29 and feel most comfortable with my body than I ever have. This video clarifies so much, though! Appreciate your hard work!
@@verw6117 That's the tricky part. Putting on weight makes it appear more blunt, of course. However, I always thought of myself as long and narrow, and that's the comments I've gotten IRL too, that I have sharp features. But I do have wide shoulders and torso. And a big bust, but not so much hips. And a majority in Kibbe spaces (including Rita) typed me as FN. But it seems that all 3 tall types fits me depending on the time of day it is 😕
@@FannysLoA FNs seem to be able to pull just about anything off. There's a lot of example of long and thin FNs but width in the torso and wide chest might suggest FN.
Soft Dramatics usually look odd in trainers. They look amazing when being dressed up and having put some effort on their outfit. Yes: ornateness, some earrings, the hair in huge soft curls, spot on their curves. Power colours, no pastels. Bold eyebrows and lipstick. This never looks like “too much”, it rather accomplishes and balances out their feature of being present in room.
Thank you, this was very helpful because it gives my tall SD essence a relative context. I always felt I was born in the wrong age but no, I was just not living my whole truth! It would come alive in fantasy DIY photo and film shoots or secret imaginings of being a sultry, reluctant film-star-archetype...
Just figured out I’m a soft dramatic ….honestly always felt out of place cause of my huge features but honestly the fact that I could still pull of anything is awesome 🙌🏾🙌🏾
This video was great for SDs, thank you! It would be cool to see a video about Agnetha & Anni-Frid in ABBA. I think they are Soft Natural & Soft Dramatic. Internet is full of photos of them in all kinds of outfits.
Hi, I love your videos! I’ve gained so much knowledge about body types etc! But I’m black American and it’s kind of hard to tell what’s what for black women! Could you please do a kibbie chart for black women body shapes and face chart like you did for white women. Just so I can have a better idea! Please like Diana Ross and Dorothy Dandrige, lupita, Sanaa Lathan, Gabriel union, taraji p Henson, Halle berry, zendaya, Zoe Kravitz, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Nia long.
Kibbe has nothing to do with race. I just saw Tyra Banks in here, Lupita Nyongo in another video etc. Kibbe is about beautiful women of all body types and colors. I’m mixed does that mean I need a “mixed girl only” Kibbe video? No. It’s about the body type and bones and flesh, yin and Yang, and fashion. Race isn’t a factor in Kibbe but I’m sure there is a market for that type of thing you can start! Love yourself. ❤
Just try observing your body structure, shape of ur flesh and facial features. If ur a dramatic, u will have a long narrow bone structure with long and straight body shape and sharp facial features . If ur a natural, u would have a blunt wide big bone structure with muscular figure and wide facial features. if u are a classic, u would be neither long and narrow, muscular and wide nor delicate and small just symmetrical and moderate features. if ur a gamine, u would have a delicate small and narrow bone structure with a straight figure and a combination of yin and yang facial features. And finally if ur a romantic, u would have a delicate and small but slightly WIDE bone structure with a curvy figure even when underweight and round and lush facial features.
It's interesting to me that very few soft dramatics are blonde. I'm one- and I color my hair darker since i was teenage to give it more richness in color. I wonder if a soft dramatic can rock blonde hair. In the blonde realm, only platinum really looks great on me, i think.
Fellow blonde SD here. I have gone darker many times too. I think we can't do the sleek wispy baby blonde hairstyles (Reese Witherspoon, Meg Ryan) that most blondes have due to naturally thin straight hair. My hair texture is like my body, thick and curvy. When it is blonde, I elevate the highlights and wear my hair in full bodied, sometimes ornate, waves and curls. If I straighten it, something looks out place, like I'm wearing a wig. I do find that no matter what my hair color is, my brows look way better dark.....your hair looks beautiful btw
You mentioned platinum hair and I've heard about thay before, because SD match the "dramatic" look, one color hair, "sabe" hair, that actually matches the yang side of SD.
I think I'm exactly on the Dramatic Classic / Soft Dramatic dividing line lol. Another good Soft Dramatic example on the thinner side is Anna Khachiyan
@@Itsnotaboutthepastaaaa I like it because I can pull off the clean classic look for daytime or the more vampy glam dramatic style. Also soft dramatic is my favourite type! Not a bad place to be as you have options
@@katiechasm yes that makes perfect sense! I feel confident in both of those looks as well. It’s nice to know that I can pull off multiple styles and not try to just find one specific style like I used to😌
I love these videos even though i have my own style thats very niche and alternative i still understand what you mean by the yin and yang balance, what lines and colors look best on the types and using the knoedge you're sharing, i was able to find an awesome balance of soft but sharp for my soft gamine body type while still being able to wear the clothes i love
I recently was typed as SD, and it helped keep me from going down a further rabbit hole. Quite often people will say Claire Danes, Katharine Hepburn and then also Julia Robert’s and Audrey Hepburn (when I get a haircut) so I was further confused. Yet when I would look at my proportions, I kept thinking I look much taller than I am and that my head is smaller in ratio. Also, people often would shame me into “eating more” but I just didn’t understand when my upper legs and arms were pretty ok. I’ve also noticed above the hip area this same effect so this areas tended to be hidden. I think this will help a lot.
Yes pleaseee!! And mention what are common mistakes you see romantics do. My mistake is: Because we are already rounded, if we start ”hiding” our overweight with lets say Natural lines, we look even bigger, in a way that was not my goal.
@@AlyonaY hi darling, yes I saw it 😻 thank you! I still hope for help with ”common mistakes”, I think it would be really healpful.. (not to judge, just a help for us that want it!) The models are usually in a very good shape, but when we put on weight as rounded types or very tall types some of us starts to slide in to other clothes then our recommendations👀 in order to look a bit more ”fit” or hide the overweight. It’s not easy to see objectivly how that affects the overall look. But I loose the courage to wear rounded lines when everything in the mirror is more rounded then ever😆😅
@@AlyonaY I checked the romantic video again- I want to thank you for all your work❤️, but what I miss in that romantic video is more talk about the clothes- the way you explain it in this excellent SD video😀. The romantic video (around 11 minutes) was mainly focusing on spotting the physical differences between them and other types, while this SD video (20 minutes) includes much more then that, about clothes, lines, style❤️ Thats what I miss! Love your videos and many thanks❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾
I think I'm soft dramatic but I'm fairly average height and confusingly felt like a lot of the theatrical romantic suggestions also suit me so was useful to have the comparison between those and see that 'ornateness' suits both - that makes a lot more sense now.
I’m exactly the same but I think I’m an SD now. How tall are you if it’s ok to ask? I’m 168 cm but I have long arms which makes me think I’m an SD. I did also think I was a soft classic as that’s what I was on the quiz but it didn’t suit my essence if that makes sense
@@tallisinwonderland4724 I'm same height as you almost exactly - I also considered soft classic but I don't have the symmetry. I realised I have proportionally long limbs compared to the rest of my body rather than short so I'm probably a "tall" type despite not actually being that tall.
@@Tashax405 I don’t think I have long legs but they’re a bit chunky so that makes it difficult to tell 😂 people always think I’m tall even though I’m not particularly 🤔 I think age also plays a part. My features were more SD probably when I was younger but with Agejng they may look a bit more SC as my lips and eyes have got smaller. It’s really difficult isn’t it 😂
keep in mind that the small/tall is more about you’re proportioned, how tall you *look*, vs your literal height. If people always think you’re taller than you are, that’s a goof indication that you’re a D or maybe N.
I feel most myself in Dramatic Classic clothing but I'm 5'9". I'm definitely not a FN nor a Dramatic and by description I think I could be a Soft Dramatic. But ornate clothing, wrap style tops, large prints, and other things recommended for SD make me look too OTT. I have to keep every element very balanced or whatever is out of balance takes over. For instance, a wrap top may be flattering as I absolutely must have waist emphasis or I look big, but will look so trashy on me. Structured simple clothes in solid colors look much better. Idk. It's all so confusing for me.
This video was so helpful, thank you! I couldn’t tell if I was a SD or FN but now I see I am a SD. I was also just typed as one. I never found flowy or loose clothes to flatter me, quite the opposite - I felt like I was wearing pyjamas! When my hips and small waist are accentuated I look and feel my best 😊
Damn I'm early. I always thought I was soft dramatic but it's probably my mind playing tricks on me, wishing I looked like Sophia Loren. I wish you could examine every inch of my body and tell me what I am 😂
Hi, love your videos. This helped a lot. I thought I was soft classic but I am soft dramatic; this video confirmed it (although my variation is having a very long torso and proportionally shorter legs.) Thank you 🙏🏻 💜
When you dress like a soft natural because you love the relaxed appearance but you’re a soft dramatic. Let me live in the shadows soft dramatic! Thank you so much for the photos!!!!! Def helped
I really like your voice! It is very soothing, and I think that you're beautiful! Thanks for this great video about SDs! I'm 5' 11, and I don't have a very voluptuous figure (average sized bust line), but I'm learning to be more confident about my Kibbe body type!
Thank you so much, love your channel, just subscribed. I have this yin-yang intuition too and I get it that these guidelines are about an overall vibe, a spectrum. I can really see how you are dramatic classic after learning a bit about Kibbe. I'm not 100% sure about my own type as I don't think it's so easy to type oneself. However, I believe I'm a flamboyant natural. If you think about the kind of clothes that complement you it can help,. I wasn't sure if I was soft dramatic or FN, but delicate floral prints can look really good and me, and tie-dye sometimes. Also bed-hair - long, loose and unstyled. No way would that fly with a soft dramatic!
In the last time I was watching Your older videos and although I love this hair on You, now I must say- it's really great- the cut and the color! I like it a bit longer also. Great to see You too found Your style and are confident in it.
This was a very helpful video! I was actually stuck between a romantic and a soft dramatic- figured out that I’m SD because of my height / broadness 😊❤
Would love to see this for Soft Natural! I'm still very confused what I am - I'm 5"5 but have all the features described as a soft dramatic, just not tall enough? Thank you for such a detailed video!
I'm very short and don't look elongated (unless I wear at least some amount of heels or when I'm much thinner when my legs look elongated) but I'm 100% certain that I'm Soft Dramatic. (I've learned in the Kibbe Facebook group that elongated doesn't always mean tall. It can also mean that you have elongated physical features compared to yourself, not compared to other people and not all of them need to be elongated that your Image Archetype can be one of the elongated ones). I'm very lush and curvy. I'm like a mixture of Sofia Vergara face type (lush and a little bit wide) and Sophia Loren body type which looks curvier and a little bit less elongated. I have prominent and lush facial features + exotic eyes. I look good with large hairstyles and jewelry. I look good with large ornateness. I have thought that Romantic would have been a possibility for me but any of my features don't look delicate (some of them are small but they are more lush than delicate) and my essence is not romantic at all. It is said that romantics are always hour classes but I become wide on my waist when I gain weight. I think Romantics always look somehow delicate. The other possibility I had in mind was Soft Natural but it doesn't feel right either. I think there are always some exceptions to the examples, like Audrey Hepburn. But the overall impression and essence + all the things about the silhouette of the clothes and the size of the prints, jewelry, etc. are the same no matter the height.
i think i just discovered my body type!!! i'm young, but since i was a kid everyone always thought i was at least 5 years older than i actually was, because i'm tall (5'8") and have wide bones (even though i'm not overweight, i always look a little bigger than i am, because i also have a lot of curves). guess i'm a *soft dramatic* !!!
I’m a small Soft Dramatic, I’m a B cup but it looks like a CC cup because of my structure, I’m 5’7 and a half and my foot is 10. I always felt like sore thumb being taller that everyone else..it sucked. Everyone was expecting me to either be really skinny or get fat. I’m probably not gonna get any bigger even if I do gain weight. Thank you for making this video I finally feel understood. ^^
I always thought im a dramatic Classic until now. It confused me that I have large full lips, a larger nose but quite sharp bones "neckdownwards". After months ITS a relief to find my type :D
I still don t know if i am soft dramatic😅 I am tall(173 cm) , sharp long nose, houglass body shape, thin hair, small eyes😢 ❤ I swear i am confused😭😭😭😭 I think however i might be SD
I thought I was either a soft dramatic or a romantic but realized I must be SD when I heard that romantics can’t be taller than 5’5. But now that I’m seeing you list Beyonce as a romantic, knowing that she is 5’7 like me, I’m a bit confused. I’m closer to Kate Winslet’s height 5’6 than Mariah’s 5’9. . . Anyway, I’ll just have to keep observing and playing around with it. Btw- really love your video and how you articulate your points. Super well done, love your energy (:

Thank you so much for this especially the comparison photos because as a young soft dramatic I always have tried to shrink myself as I thought I looked way older than my age but now I realize it is just the way I am and that it's absolutely gorgeous. Please do a soft dramatic style for younger women. We really would appreciate it. Thank you and take care Aly.
Same problem
I’d love to see a video about soft dramatics in modern fashionable styles!
second this!
Yes!! My exact experience.
definitely felt this. as a young teen i had very pronounced curves and i always felt so awkward seeing how mature my body looked compared to my colleagues
This just convinced me that I am a soft dramatic
My experience too!
So many SD have been so fearful of their big presence and curves.
Suddenly, in my eyes, I'm beautiful.
exactly i love kibbe much more it has made me feel less insecure about my body
@@princess-ky2iq so true
Victoria's secret body type is out, now it's about the kylie Jenner/slim thick body type

“Frame dominant or curve dominant”-yes!!! Now it all makes sense. I totally get it! Great vid Aly!!💐
Curve dominant. Thank you for that clarification. I am 5'7" and even when I am very thin... if my waist isn't accentuated I look dumpy.
Same, i have to always have high waist pants or something that is waist sliming because i wont wear it 🤦🏽♀️
Dear Aly, meeting with your channel turned my whole life upside down!
Another soft dramatic video?
This must be my lucky day!
It is incredible how similar TR and SD are when you see them togheder. DC also can look similar and SN
Yes, these three body types are all different interesting mixes of strong and soft! 🥰
I won’t even tell you how stressed I was 😹
Soft Dramatics are amazing! I think it’s pretty hard to find a women with that type.
I would like to see a Soft Natural video too!
I'm in Northern Europe feeling like half of the women I know must be Soft Dramatics!
@@roamink4147 same !! I saw them a lot in France.
SD from Brazil! 😊/
Ppl say that DK says on his Facebook group that SN and SD are the most common IDs...
@@afabinogueira definitely not in Asia 😂
Soft Dramatics, Theatrical Romantics and Soft Naturals are different mixes of softness and boldness. They're all very beautiful and exude a different interesting vibe. :)
Oh thank you,I am SN and always felt kind of too much, too soft and too curvy, but I am on my way to start loving myself. Thank you for your kind words. ❤😘
@@manicpanic7423 I'm also SN! You're welcome... :)
I've come to love being SN, it's a very beautiful body type and I'm loving it more and more each day.
@@nyposturebar6638 That's funny right? I look heavier in SD clothes.
Take a look if you have a more athletic, toned body (FN)
I feel the same but as she said, it is also a vibe. However you can take certain elements from each. For example i enjoy deeper necklines like wrap tops or flowy scarves but I balance it with more tailored or strict more masculine pieces
I can tell about the haircut. Once I cut my hair too short and when I see a picture of my whole body I see a very small head compared to the rest of the body 🤣😅
That happened to me before too! I thought I was SN but now I'm confused
Tall women can only be D, SD, N or FN, but short women can be everything! ;)
Im a 163cm SD!
@@afabinogueira oh! Interesting! I didn't know that! I even had all my clothes like the clothes recommended for SD before I knew about it!
That's funny, I always complained about my head looking too small for my body since I was a kid
Soft dramatics are getting spoiled by Aly - thank you so much!
I try to keep the body types in mind while drawing. Its helpful, actually.
I love the video about the tall types 💖💖💖 I still don't know what I am 😂 I think I am soft dramatic but I don't look exotic at all.
frame dominant vs curve dominant was so helpful!!!
Thank you! Love this video! Can't wait for the Theatrical Romantic vs. Other body types video, hope you'll make it:)
Interesting Aly. You put a lot of work into your videos. You’ve inspired me to create my own soft dramatic videos. So appreciate your work. 💓🌟
So happy to finally find my type. And geee, how incredibly accurate it is! It takes now literally 5min for me to dress and look great
Your hair is so much shinier what is your secret?
i was always mad that i couldnt pull off a straight jacket and huh now i know, thank you
Three SD’s that were shown here are characters in my favorite show Firefly!
I'm so happy that you will continue making style review videos, I realy enjoy them!
The side by side photos changed my life 🙌🙌🙌 ty
I love being a SD! I dress very vintage-like and I feel like a diva 😍
Hi, what would be the main difference that you realised between the soft natural and soft dramatic? I'm still struggling to see difference
Aly please do theatrical romantic vs other body types 💖
I am still confused between SD and Curvy FN.
It kind of feels like I fit one or the other depending on the time of day.
What's your bone structure like (not weight)? Long and narrow or blunt?
@@verw6117 Really? Because the more I learn about Kibbe, the less each type seems to pull off 🤣
I think the difference is mostly in the facial features
You look extra lovely today. Your Complexion is perfect. Great video. Love these contrasting themes! So excited for the next ones.
I'm definitely Soft Dramatic. Thank you for this beautiful video.
I love the make-up you wear and your hair in this video, you are very beautiful!
This video was great for SDs, thank you! It would be cool to see a video about Agnetha & Anni-Frid in ABBA. I think they are Soft Natural & Soft Dramatic. Internet is full of photos of them in all kinds of outfits.
I think Anni-Frid is pure Dramatic and Agnetha is Soft Dramatic.
This was extremely helpful. 😊 I was still trying to figure out my kibbe body type, this video confirmed I am a soft dramatic.
I still learn so much from you! Looking forward to seeing soft natural.💖
So well explained. I think I’m soft dramatic now, but I change my mind with each video 😂
Oh I'm so excited....I'm pretty sure im a soft dramatic. I'm fairly new here and I really love, love you and your channel, thank you Aly!!! You are 🌟😘
Im loooonging for the video about clothing for all the types, and loved this! You're my favourite Aly, thank you 💙
After watching all the types I can't decide mine anymore 🤣🤣🤣
Same, I wish we could all just send in our pics and she could tell us, she's really mastered this.
I feel blessed by Christina Hendricks
Thanks so much. I wasnt sure if I was Soft Dramatric or Theatrical Romantic and this video made it so clear
I was SO confused about this system but you explain it so well!
I am in the same situation haha
Me too:(
@@Itsnotaboutthepastaaaa I like it because I can pull off the clean classic look for daytime or the more vampy glam dramatic style. Also soft dramatic is my favourite type! Not a bad place to be as you have options

This helped me a lot! I thought I was romantic but I’m defiantly soft dramatic! Thank you!
Please, talk about romantics in details and versus other body types.
Yes pleaseee!! And mention what are common mistakes you see romantics do. My mistake is: Because we are already rounded, if we start ”hiding” our overweight with lets say Natural lines, we look even bigger, in a way that was not my goal.
As I said in this video - 5 main types were done already. You can find romantic in my channel ))
@@AlyonaY hi darling, yes I saw it 😻 thank you! I still hope for help with ”common mistakes”, I think it would be really healpful.. (not to judge, just a help for us that want it!)
The models are usually in a very good shape, but when we put on weight as rounded types or very tall types some of us starts to slide in to other clothes then our recommendations👀 in order to look a bit more ”fit” or hide the overweight.
It’s not easy to see objectivly how that affects the overall look. But I loose the courage to wear rounded lines when everything in the mirror is more rounded then ever😆😅
height too
@@AlyonaY I checked the romantic video again- I want to thank you for all your work❤️, but what I miss in that romantic video is more talk about the clothes- the way you explain it in this excellent SD video😀.
The romantic video (around 11 minutes) was mainly focusing on spotting the physical differences between them and other types, while this SD video (20 minutes) includes much more then that, about clothes, lines, style❤️
Thats what I miss!
I know! How much $ and sign me up. I can't figure myself out. I think I'm a super short soft dramatic - mind tricks
@@sabrinaa8948 maybe you’re a theatrical romantic? They’re like, short soft dramatics right? Like... the romantic with a drama on top. I think. 🙃

Finally! This video helped me confirm I am a dramatic classic with a classic romantic ingenue essence from the face. Thank you!
Hi, love your videos. This helped a lot. I thought I was soft classic but I am soft dramatic; this video confirmed it (although my variation is having a very long torso and proportionally shorter legs.) Thank you 🙏🏻 💜
Same!
That's what always throws me. I have a long torso and short legs as well as short arms, but after watching this I'm leaning towards SD as well.
When you dress like a soft natural because you love the relaxed appearance but you’re a soft dramatic. Let me live in the shadows soft dramatic!
Thank you so much for the photos!!!!! Def helped
Really great talk and the examples you showed really backed up what you said. I could see the differences. I learnt so much.
I was waiting for this. ❤️
In the last time I was watching Your older videos and although I love this hair on You, now I must say- it's really great- the cut and the color! I like it a bit longer also. Great to see You too found Your style and are confident in it.
Ally please offer the service of personally helping us understand our body type! So many of us would pay for that.
This was a very helpful video! I was actually stuck between a romantic and a soft dramatic- figured out that I’m SD because of my height / broadness 😊❤
I've just learned I'm this style. Thanks so much. I'll watch all your SD videos and subscribe to your channel
Hey Aly can you discuss eyebrows and how they can change a face widen lengthen how eyebrows can alter the shape of your nose and the like...thank you!
Would love to see this for Soft Natural! I'm still very confused what I am - I'm 5"5 but have all the features described as a soft dramatic, just not tall enough?
Thank you for such a detailed video!
She said 5'5" or taller. So yes, you fit into the category. I am 5'5" SD most ppl think I am taller.
I LOVE your makeup look in this video.
Please aly make a soft classic X dramatic classic. I have so many doubts and it would be very helpful ❤️
Thank you for helping me so much!
I'm going to a wedding this August and I will look for a dress based on soft dramatic style 😎 I just wish I had you with me when I go shopping 🤣
Yes! Been waiting on this one, thank you Aly!! 💚💙💜
Omg I finally found my body type I was so lost, now am found. I’m a SD. I can feel my life is about to change. I’m going big red hair. I’m sooo happy
Wow, know I understand why I could never pull up the blazer look. I have a big curly hair and always get complements on it.
Love love love this video
I’m 6 feet tall but feel more soft dramatic than flamboyant natural as I have soft features!
i think i just discovered my body type!!!
i'm young, but since i was a kid everyone always thought i was at least 5 years older than i actually was, because i'm tall (5'8") and have wide bones (even though i'm not overweight, i always look a little bigger than i am, because i also have a lot of curves). guess i'm a *soft dramatic* !!!
You explained this soooo well 👏
I thought I was either a soft dramatic or a romantic but realized I must be SD when I heard that romantics can’t be taller than 5’5.
