I’m a soft dramatic and I would recommend only buying high waisted pants, even for comfort. I only feel comfortable in pants that fall at my natural waist. Also my capsule wardrobe has more dresses. Dresses are great for when you want to feel comfortable and put together. It’s very easy for us SD’s to feel frumpy. For comfort, I recommend items that look elevated but in comfy fabrics. For example a cashmere wrap cardigan instead of a sweatshirt or bomber jacket.
I’m (pretty sure) I’m a soft dramatic and I would actually wear most of this. I even have a lot of items in that style. I feel like SD isn’t the most usual body type and whenever I watch hauls, outfit videos and there like those women mostly do not have similar proportions to mine ( mostly regarding their curves ) and I would look kinda frumpy or just more heavy than I am if I for example would wear an oversized white T-shirt and some jeans
So glad you liked it! I think you are right that SD seems to be a less common body type. I’ve definitely found that to be true with my clients as well.
Loved this! Except for the red biker jacket. I’ve tried that sort of fit before and it ends up feeling uncomfortable. It’s too structured to fit to baggy. It’s like you borrowed somebody else’s and with the hips us soft dramatics have, it hits in a weird uncomfortable way being so stiff. Better to do that style of jacket in a crop or more cinched.
I get where you’re coming from! If we were going for a very strict SD recommendation then something long and slim with waist definition is a great option. But there’s always give and take between body type and the desired style or effect 🥰
Thank you for this as this helped me confirm I am a SD despite having my friends, parents and colleagues help me and confirm I was ab SD as well. The way you set up these outfits is exactly how I dress and it felt relaxing. Thank you so much for your work!
Thank you . I wish you could put links to these items . Also do I need seperate capsule for each of my styles lol . I work formal / business casual to work. 2. More sexy / edgy style for every day 3.
I think it’s great if you can find a way to combine your styles and find commonalities between them so that you can use your wardrobe more interchangeably and creatively, whether you are dressing for work or every day. For instance, maybe a great pair of trousers is appropriate for work but also sexy when mixed with a sleek bodysuit and heels. And perhaps the bodysuit can be worn under a blazer for a slightly edgy workwear look. But it’s all about what works best for YOU!
I am sorry, but the majority of suggested outfits do not suit SDs at all. As a SD I would stay away from the bomber jacket, jeans with contrasting cuffs, double breasted trench coat. These would make me look huge. The biker jacket has also proven to be a problematic item for me, I'd look much better in a single breasted jacket with a biker vibe. I also dislike the width the pleated pants create over my lower abdomen, I opt for pleat-free pants. I am not too fond of the teal blouse with wrapped panels - simply because it's too loose and oversized; I'd opt for a ballerina style wrap top instead, or any top that hugs the body well.
This capsule was created for a real SD woman who wanted to achieve a slightly sporty and edgy style - What works for some certainly won't work for others, but this is just one example of a capsule for an SD woman 🥰 We are all so different, even within one body type!
Do you know your body type? If so, do enjoy the "rules" or do you like to break them?
I enjoy the rules, they save me a lot of money!
@@annalynn9325 It's such a good feeling when you find a rule that works for you!

The pieces and your explanations were excellent. Just remember SDs are likely to be tall and need clothing available in tall sizes.
For sure!

Well, I diagree. Flattering is always the goal.
Could be, but even if flattering were the goal for everyone, not everyone’s idea of flattering would be the same! 🥰
❤
But, I live in Florida!!
Id die of heat.
I’m happy to take requests!
But… I’m a legging and skinny jean girly 😂
Leggings and skinny jeans can totally work though!
