+StarterSteel the farm side quests don't mean anything because you can literally buy the crops, Acadia is just a bunch of robots excluding Kasumi because I saved her first. Terminals throughout the commonwealth also is meaningless unless you specify. There solid evidence that the institute are scum. You can't even take a violent route when doing the farm quests btw. Just intimidation. Can't kill anyone.
My Brotherhood Sentinel would want to throw that piece of crap out of the window for that abysmal analogy. The difference between a raider and BoS soldier is that raider could rape, steal, and murder without their piers judging and/or punishing them for their actions. Some may argue that the Brotherhood is okay with murder and theft by bringing up the "feeding the Troops quests". Any harmful actions are on the players hands not the Brotherhood. Do you think Teagon and his Scribes would be alright knowing they unintentionally brought a death sentence upon some farmers? Another point. Paladin Danse is basically the embodiment of the Brotherhood's ideals. He doesn't approve of murder or theft. His only sin here is his bias against ghouls in most cases. I've always seen the Brotherhood as "The ends justify the means" kind of people. They might not enjoy some of the things they do. But they feel compelled to because they believe that's what needs to be done.
Good job! You looked at the good side of the brotherhood but not the bad. What a nice brainwashed little biased one you are. Ok, sorry about that but it seems you completely took what gage said wrong. He said they aren't much different as they still take stuff, which is very true. They take technology without consent of people to "protect" them from themselves preventing the uprising of civilization again (and sometimes with force), They are willing to take food from farmers that are afraid of them, they hate wastelanders who are seemingly dirty like, they attack the railroad for really no reason besides maybe the weaponry they have (and don't keep synths), they attack any ghouls and mutants on sight without making sure if they are nice or not, hostile to apparently sane ghouls, and kill even people who are found out to be synths and killed without a second thought (example paladin Danse who even though was part of the brotherhood, followed them loyally, did nothing wrong was hunted)
The Wishard Starting off by insulting me? And then saying sorry after? No, that shit doesn't get a pass asswipe. Have YOU ever met a band of friendly super mutants in the commonwealth? You could probably count the amount of friendly super mutants on the east coast on one fucking hand! If that's not a good reason to treat them like pests I don't know what is. They only attack ferals on sight man. I don't remember being told by Elder Maxon to "exterminate" the people of the Slog or Goodneighbor. If what the case you made was true the Knights I saw the other day would have slaughtered the Slog. Goodneighbor directly opposes the Brotherhood in Ideology. The main reason the Brotherhood doesn't like ghouls is because ALL ghouls eventually go feral. They see them as a liability. As for Synths. Do you know how huge of a threat Paladin Danse could be if he was an Institute plant? Incredibly huge. It's basically impossible to tell the difference between a plant and a escaped synth without being the Institute or the Railroad without taking a huge chance. Was it morally right to banish/execute Danse? Hell no! Tactically? It was the only way. The fact that you could convince that mother fucker to spare his life shows that the Brotherhood isn't an evil organization. The Railroad determine the Brotherhood a threat the minute they show up in the commonwealth. They are clashing because they are ideologically opposed to one another. Like I said. They are the " The ends justify the means" kind of people. They aren't raiders playing soldier mother fucker. They do it because they are trying to pave a future for mankind. Sometimes you have to do the wrong thing for the right reason.
Yeah, I usually go Railroad. They're out to help people no one else wants to hellp, are way better organized than the Minutemen, and have a specific, attainable goal rather than a vague "help everyone" like the Minutemen or an overreaching "CONTROL ALL TECHNOLOGY" like the Brotherhood. Though I gotta admit, Brotherhood does have style, as do the Instititute. And the Institute seems to be the only faction in the universe who remembers how to use a damn vacuum cleaner...
Neither can any of the factions, the minutemen never leave concord without you, the institute never leave their hole, the brotherhood hide in their blimp the entire time.
I joined the Railroad, mainly because I didn't know when I could join the Minutemen as a faction at the time. But I still like the Minutemen and as such, after realizing I would have to take over settlements, and after trying it out, I went back to a previous save and killed all the bandits. I really didn't want those bastards running around the Commonwealth. I would have been fine if they had stayed in Nuka-World. But they wanted settlements, and I owned all of them. There are a lot of bodies now.
I thought I could control them kind of like the best way to stop crime is to control it kind of thing but I wasn't willing to kick farmers off there own land so I just decided to get rid of the raiders. They deserved it anyway. The pack are a bunch of savages and the disciples are blood thirsty maniacs. The operators are pretty bad too but at least they're not as freaky as the others.
And then theres me, the absolute psychopath that took the settlements I didnt have and just said "Fuck You" to Preston. I loved that playthrough. Went the Mercenary route with things
@@dylanpierce3045 fun fact, if you actually never go to concord and do the nuka world dlc story in it's entirety first, Preston never finds out about your using raiders to take settlements...and if you didn't set defenses at any of them, you can clear the bastards and take them back.
"They ain't that different from a Raider gang, you ask me. Just try and act all legitimate, but they still just take what they want." To be honest, it feels like a cool phrase at start, but with that logic all faction are "Raider gang with legtimate", even the NCR, Caesar's Legion, etc. Also, there is a world of difference between be a faction with obsession for the technologic, with a extrict rank hierarchy and, in other hand; Using dead bodies for decorating the walls.
Good video. I was wondering about this, and I also like how your four characters were helpfully wearing the right outfits for the factions to make it easy to distinguish!
They should not have made colter know about your past. It defies all logic. "Oh, the leader of an organization that we hate and fight at any moments notice? Sure we trust you to command us!"
+freakyskull516 well he only reacts if you beat the main quests. fyi the institute announces themselves to the commonwealth and sends synths over to diamond city. they take total control. who wouldn't hear about that?
Damn I like how they finally called out the bos everybody acting like the brotherhood is the best faction even though their just like the institute the only difference between them is that the brotherhood tries to justify anything bad they do because of justice
actually BoS are good, they keep dungerous stuff from ppl for don t make another disaster, they also rescue ppl if they have time. Imagine a civil with a nuclear bomb, you have to keep it in a safe place, and here BoS come, at leat they have a moral that is preserve human being
Jaelon Griffin I'm just gonna assume when you do help him and he asks you to be general, he just turns right around and gets mad the second you say yes
In the long run, siding with and becoming head of the Institute would probably help the Commonwealth the most in the long run. They have advanced technology that could help literally various different issues in the wasteland, from food shortages or power shortages. Even if they are shady.
Are his reactions to player factions based upon what you're wearing? Because I didn't get ANY of these reactions (even though I'm deep into all the faction quest lines). I was just wearing a mismatch of Legendary Gear and army fatigues
No, his ractions are based on a quests. Those reaction triggers only if you finished the main quest so that you could only be in a single faction. I used faction armor only for representation purposes.
Well Interesting Video, I have got nearly 6000 Hours up in Fallout4, but Cage Always Dies 2 seconds after he opens the Door after Colter, and the Gangs within 30 mins of that, its become a speed-run of Sorts, for me, anyway, maybe I'll will be Friendly to Cage Next time, & actually check out the Dialog, maybe ...
what i did was partway through the nuka-world dlc i created 4 different sentry bots and armored them to high hell armed them with missile launchers and mini-nuke launchers and laser gatling guns and basically turned myself into a near immortal tank and decided nuka-world must be purified of the red raider menace and set to work mowing down every single raider and collecting every single gun i could pick up during the battle in the end i think i had nearly 200 handmade rifles after all of the fighting which i set out to set to stock and then scrap into useful parts my game became nearly unplayable from the amount of guns it had to render
1:48 Granted they're more principled against harming the innocent. They're more fascist than ever before, but they're not inclined to marauding caravans, pillaging settlements, rapping, deceiving or decorating their dwellings with blood and guts of friends and foes alike. For that matter, they don't seem to have that much interest in feeding chem addiction or scoring caps. Other than that, I see his point.
They take farmers crops exactly the raiders do. They demand payment from caravans for protection. They destroyed Rivet City by stealing their power source to power the Prydwen. They likely killed everyone in Underworld for being ghouls.
+lumpythebored to be fair rivet city couldn't survive for much longer. do you know how many resources it takes to hold an aircraft carrier together? not to mention the fact it was in a nuclear blast and the 200 years of lackluster maintenance at best.
Well the legion aren't the nicest people they're sexist slavers and even rapists. Well according to Veronica. I'd much rather have the BOS or the NCR rule than Cesars legion.
What??? The brotherhood is so powerful now, I mean they have vertibirds and an airship. Even though they are a bit tyrannical now they are still better than Lyons' BOS.
Maxson's Brotherhood is one of the best chapters. Worst in the series? You really think those cowardly piles of slag in the Mojave are better? Even the west coast Brotherhood is just a stagnate faction, barely hanging on to the old ways. Maxson is a fucking hero, making the Brotherhood adapt and thrive, recruit locals, not just hoard technology, but actively produce and create new tech, and actually seek out a threat, close width and destroy it instead of hiding in a fucking bunker like rats. If you think Maxson is soooo bad, you obviously no nothing of the mid-west Brotherhood.
Why when I go to a settlement or farm for supplies it has "give me all your food and drink and free, no exceptions" or "die and be replaced by Brotherhood loyalist"
Truest words about the BoS anyone ever said. They're just another raider group that takes what they please and do what they want. I liked the Brotherhood a lot more when they were under Elder Lyons. He actually had a heart and tried to help the people, unlike Maxon who literally destroyed a city to build his precious Prydwen. What happened to all the people living in Rivet city? they just took their home for their own gain.
OMG now i know why i loved the Brotherhood of steel .... they are like raiders . Gage just enlightened me . Take what you want , do what you want and take out anyone who is in your way . Raiders = BoS
+ Nasko K. Dimov The Eastern chapter wouldn't be making purchases in Diamond City and with traders (as per the Prydwen terminals) if they simply took what they wanted.
Every time I play this dlc I hate it more and more because I can’t take it as a settlement for the minutemen I know other people might have said this but it’s true I want a giant epic war between them
I remember that there is a "red rocket" station that becomes available as a settlement after you complete "open season". But yea, no giant whole nuka-world settlement.
The only way siding with the raiders from a faction standpoint is the institute. Either orchestrating them to have control above ground or using them to help slowly kill off the above ground populace for a complete overhaul later.
If you don't complete the main story before this conversation with Gage then he skips that bit of talk going straight from Colter being weak to being able to help you make it work. No separate dialog for not being aligned with a faction.
It should be noted that Gage himself is loyal to the raider gangs before you. They count as a faction, and therefore making an enemy of them, makes you an enemy of Gage.
Is not that bad, what they needed to add was different voice types, this one just sounds so innocent and friendly, I always laugh my ass off everytime my character tries to sound menacing when speaking to raiders
I agree with both of your points. I liked making up the voice of my character in my head rather than have someone speak for me, but on the other hand I enjoy my character speaking, I just wish that their was better variety. Well I wish their was a variety.
The minutement can easily kill the raiders in nuka worls with the right leadership, tactics and weaponey they probabily can get 1 oe 2 but one is just luck which one is i
Why does this look so bad? Is this on Console? I use HD Texture Packs and just grabbed the game for PC last month and just started Nuka World after finishing Far Harbor - Level 52 - Ultra Settings @ 144hz - It looks insanely stunning like RE-7 Graphics. (Seriously tho, it looks really bad) 2010 graphics er something.
Gage is just a product of trying to survive in an unforgiving, post apocalyptic world. I don't condone his actions but he's honest. It's just too bad that I had to kill him once I turned on the other Raider factions. The other Raider leaders would have killed me,if given the chance. I just never gave them the opportunity to do so,lol
I always just play the minutemen as an evil faction. Like I'll go with the institute and then have the minutemen function similar to diamond City police under McDonough. I usually go institute because I like teleportation. It's cool looking.

If you’re with the Brotherhood:
Gage: Respect
If you’re with the Institute:
Gage: Respect
If you’re with the Railroad:
Gage: Ridicules you
If you’re with the Minutemen:
Gage: Ridicules you
0:40 Well maybe it's because if I tried to join the Raiders I'd get fucking shot
I fully expected gage to betray the SS the entire time. Like "hey, I know we made you the new overboss, but we were actually using you" then he leaves you for dead and takes you stuff.
After surviving some hard dungeon or something you'd come back with your faction and wipe them out.
This would make complete sense tbh considering the sort of people they are.
The minute-men gear gives off an assassin's creed vibe.
Ezio! another failing city needs your help! I will mark a nearby bank on your map
Post apocalyptic Italy? That sounds kinda cool.
Pretty sure he was referring to Assassins creed 3 since it takes place in colonial America so it would be Conner.
Ha! He nailed Maxson's new BOS.
At least Maxson wasn't doing some fucked up super mutant experiments! And murdering an entire settlement just for shits n giggles like the institute!
Stryker Hill
Nah, he just wipes out a town for not giving up their Waser Wiffles.
+StarterSteel he's never actually done that tho, that's made up.
Stryker Hill
The farms side quests given to you by the quartermaster, wiping out Acadia, all of the locked terminals throughout the Common Wealth.
Ad Victoriam
Sentinel Gamin' Reasons
that makes two of us building castles in the sky just the two of us you and I
If you don't like what you do. Why do you do what you do?
***** Sometimes doing what's right doesn't make you feel like a good person.
was expecting a fine bro intro when i read the title ........
You know, you gotta stay in trend :D
Just imagine if those assholes had their way, this video would have been flagged for having the word "react" in it.
Old Internet meme...
Can't lie, I feel pretty damn prideful that the only faction Bethesda didn't write a bad word about in that dialogue was the Railroad.
Only because they are the most irrelevant.
+Sports Fan Tell that to the lantern flag flying over Diamond City and smouldering ruins where the Prydwin and Institute once were ;)
Yeah, I usually go Railroad.
Because of the Sole survivor lol, the Failroad can do nothing on their own.
@@dylanpierce3045 the true way of playing fallout
@@dylanpierce3045 fun fact, if you actually never go to concord and do the nuka world dlc story in it's entirety first, Preston never finds out about your using raiders to take settlements...and if you didn't set defenses at any of them, you can clear the bastards and take them back.
@Deviantbreed but then I can't tell him to go fuck himself
1:14 That easter egg to the University Point Massacre and the CPG Massacre.
"They ain't that different from a Raider gang, you ask me. Just try and act all legitimate, but they still just take what they want."
To be honest, it feels like a cool phrase at start, but with that logic all faction are "Raider gang with legtimate", even the NCR, Caesar's Legion, etc.
0:32 He looks like Haytham Kenway from Assassins Creed 3.
They should not have made colter know about your past. It defies all logic. "Oh, the leader of an organization that we hate and fight at any moments notice? Sure we trust you to command us!"
Colter's dead
gamingwizard 120 Oops. I'm on mobile so I cant fix it. My bad. I meant Gage.
Yeah I was like Colter dosnt even talk to u except for threats
or better yet.
"youre a secret agent for a secret organization that hides all of its operative's identities? i know all about that."
+freakyskull516 well he only reacts if you beat the main quests. fyi the institute announces themselves to the commonwealth and sends synths over to diamond city. they take total control. who wouldn't hear about that?
"I can fix I can make this work"
an hour later
*shoots up nuka world*
"it just works"
any time i see combat armor i think gunners
The minuteman response is probably the most ironic considering what you could later fight.
Nuka world is kind of a happy version of The Pitt
Fun fact: Gage is voiced by Mark Rolston, who also played Drake in Aliens :D
Damn I like how they finally called out the bos everybody acting like the brotherhood is the best faction even though their just like the institute the only difference between them is that the brotherhood tries to justify anything bad they do because of justice
actually BoS are good, they keep dungerous stuff from ppl for don t make another disaster, they also rescue ppl if they have time.
Imagine a civil with a nuclear bomb, you have to keep it in a safe place, and here BoS come, at leat they have a moral that is preserve human being
The one he says about the brotherhood definitely raises concerns
What if you reach the level to get to nuka world but never help Preston... and never joined a faction? What would he say?
ThatRandomName Nothing.
Jaelon Griffin I'm just gonna assume when you do help him and he asks you to be general, he just turns right around and gets mad the second you say yes
@@thatrandomname7788 Yes, that's correct. He then gives you the Open Season quest and won't interact with you again until you complete it.
Bliss :)
Siding with The Institute and becoming a Raider Overboss is a balance of Order and Chaos. Lawful Evil and Chaotic Evil under one ruler.
Damn raider, he should learn to respect the Minutemen.
I see Nuka world as a place where if you have the caps and can bring the family together you can get what you want and be the one who always wins.
I hate what he says to dog meat. Dog meat whines when you hook up with him and Gage's say beat it mut
Same with Cait, she calls him a molerat.
In the long run, siding with and becoming head of the Institute would probably help the Commonwealth the most in the long run. They have advanced technology that could help literally various different issues in the wasteland, from food shortages or power shortages. Even if they are shady.
He’s right about the BOS being like raiders!
I finished the main quest and joined the Railroad in my Mercenary build. i was wearing lightweight combat armor.
Think it's who you finished the main quest with
Well Interesting Video, I have got nearly 6000 Hours up in Fallout4, but Cage Always Dies 2 seconds after he opens the Door after Colter, and the Gangs within 30 mins of that, its become a speed-run of Sorts, for me, anyway, maybe I'll will be Friendly to Cage Next time, & actually check out the Dialog, maybe ...
what i did was partway through the nuka-world dlc i created 4 different sentry bots and armored them to high hell armed them with missile launchers and mini-nuke launchers and laser gatling guns and basically turned myself into a near immortal tank and decided nuka-world must be purified of the red raider menace and set to work mowing down every single raider and collecting every single gun i could pick up during the battle in the end i think i had nearly 200 handmade rifles after all of the fighting which i set out to set to stock and then scrap into useful parts my game became nearly unplayable from the amount of guns it had to render
+lumpythebored to be fair rivet city couldn't survive for much longer. do you know how many resources it takes to hold an aircraft carrier together? not to mention the fact it was in a nuclear blast and the 200 years of lackluster maintenance at best.
rapping so you're saying they rime?
If there is one thing the Brotherhood of Steel can't stand, it's hip hop.
I have yet to see them use cryo weapons. :P
First time in this dlc i tried to make everything to so these guys would like me, after that i just killed them all every time i replayed it
Honestly I find it more fun to wipe out the raiders of Nuka World, just wish I could tell Preston that the general just saved an entire theme park!
he does the same hand gestures as nick
It’s a preset animation most npcs have.
If only you could.. somewhat legitimize the raider gangs.
Jedai jesus Well you know the Legion is also entirely corrupt and evil.
I meant make them proper.
I get evil, but how the hell are they corrupt? That's pretty much the one thing they arent.
Well the legion aren't the nicest people they're sexist slavers and even rapists. Well according to Veronica. I'd much rather have the BOS or the NCR rule than Cesars legion.
Too bad no one has any redeeming features for any raiders in Nuka World.
catsndogs98 no you just use them as muscle to charge rent for the settlers who live on ya bases
Wait, dude, where did you get that synth outfit?
You can get it off synths or off x6-88.
1:40 he’s not wrong lmao
What he gonna say if we'r not meeting Preston yet/before the main quest?
You know, I love the BOS. I really do. But Gage is right, Maxson's BOS is a fucking mess.
I've already made my choices, but It's nice to see alternatives.
Crime never changes, men do.
He roasted the BOS but it's so accurate. Maxson's BOS is the worst one in the whole series
What??? The brotherhood is so powerful now, I mean they have vertibirds and an airship. Even though they are a bit tyrannical now they are still better than Lyons' BOS.
Lyons' BOS was 10x better. At least he gave a general shit about the people.
Lyon's Brotherhood actually felt like real people in a faction. Maxson's Brotherhood is a destructive hivemind for the most part
Where did you get the outfit from the institute?
If you kill the synth that sells food you can take it.
X6-88 has it in his inventory.
what if you havnt finished a main quest line? just got level 30 through side stuff then went?
he just skip the line
I managed to get up to level 30 without joining any faction and he didn't say anything about any of them.
Gage reminds me of that one actor. Tallahassee (Forgot name)
Woody harrelson?
But what he says if you are not part of any faction
Truest words about the BoS anyone ever said. They're just another raider group that takes what they please and do what they want. I liked the Brotherhood a lot more when they were under Elder Lyons. He actually had a heart and tried to help the people, unlike Maxon who literally destroyed a city to build his precious Prydwen. What happened to all the people living in Rivet city? they just took their home for their own gain.
Here I am ripping the child of atom
Hey you’re the leader of the Minutemen, why don’t you just become a raider? You know the thing you’ve been fighting the entire time? Logic.
Jesus, even a raider of all people is criticising the Brotherhood of Steel.
What does he say if you don't have joined a faction yet?
gage is kinda scared in institute
Who is Gage's VOICE actor!!
Nice character name
Since both names are together, I'm thinking the characters might be named for the voice actors Troy Baker and Laura Bailey.
gage really reminds me of my boss lol
OMG now i know why i loved the Brotherhood of steel .... they are like raiders . Gage just enlightened me . Take what you want , do what you want and take out anyone who is in your way . Raiders = BoS
my name is gage
I guess I've always been playing as the bad guy then. Now my character just fights for himself. I like being the bad guy though. It's fun.
What does he say if you don't join any faction?
He just skip right to the mission
So anyway, I started blasting....
Can't hide shit from Gage.
The fine bros copyright striked this
I don’t like how cage had two good points
What would he say if you don't join a faction?
You have to join a faction
+Logan Sanchez you dont have to join immediately. I assume he says nothing
you can kill the bos railroad and institute
If you don't complete the main story before this conversation with Gage then he skips that bit of talk going straight from Colter being weak to being able to help you make it work. No separate dialog for not being aligned with a faction.
It should be noted that Gage himself is loyal to the raider gangs before you. They count as a faction, and therefore making an enemy of them, makes you an enemy of Gage.
So he only really respects the railroad?
potatos are out of season thos is carrots time to shine
I don't think he respects any faction.
Hopefully the next game bathesda puts out will have an option to turn off the player's voice acting.
Darkfox Bill There is a mod for that.
*****
Yeah, but I want to be able to mod my game to make it better instead of having to mod it just to make it acceptable.
I prefer my character to have a personality rather than latching myself to them. I hate blank slates it's a lazy way to identify with a character.
The minutement can easily kill the raiders in nuka worls with the right leadership, tactics and weaponey they probabily can get 1 oe 2 but one is just luck which one is i
I've heard about you and your honeyed words
Why does this look so bad? Is this on Console? I use HD Texture Packs and just grabbed the game for PC last month and just started Nuka World after finishing Far Harbor - Level 52 - Ultra Settings @ 144hz - It looks insanely stunning like RE-7 Graphics. (Seriously tho, it looks really bad) 2010 graphics er something.
Maybe it’s because you know you been using mods to make the game look better 👀
my name is gage
so what?
@@Никола-ы2м late, but don’t be like that.
Ad Victorium.
Honestly, I think that Gage is the most infuriating companion I've ever seen in a game.
Steel be with you brothers and sisters!! Ad Victoriam!!
You know the moment I heard him say the brotherhood was like a raider gang I went on a genocide of all raiders.
I always just play the minutemen as an evil faction. Like I'll go with the institute and then have the minutemen function similar to diamond City police under McDonough. I usually go institute because I like teleportation. It's cool looking.
AYYY THIS GAGE LIKES THE BROTHERHOOD
