I completely agree with you. #powerdriftofficial has certainly raised the Indian Auto journalism scenario to a new level. Sorry to say, but now when i see reviews on other channels. They seem to pale and stale. Way to go guys !! Keep up the good work.
sarim rizvi I am in the USA and Im watching powerdirft.. its an exciting channel with bikes that are in the "realistic" category. Most US stuff focuses on Top Tier, 20,000 dollar bikes that you cant really ride to the limits every day. Its good to hear about how good the more "common" bikes are and what you can do with them.
True that..! But comparing PD with the big guns would be an overstatement for now, i suppose. But yes it scores way more than the so called Big Media houses in India. It's totally my personal view, but i was an ardent follower of Overdrive before. But they have completely lost it now. The connection between the viewer and the producers is lost. It's almost like a sales person telling you about the specs and details. #powerdriftofficial has rejuvenated that feeling. It's not just about flashy screen's or loud dubstep background score (which again people are copying :P ). It's the overall connection that they have infused in the masses. A tad too long, I guess (bhawnao me bah gaya :P ) All the very best #powerdriftofficial Cheers..!!
sarim rizvi well, PD is including "motorcycle culture" and personal characters inside the reviews. In a way it is a lot like "Top Gear UK" but it feels younger and more energetic... its more about the future than the past. I like that. It kind of reminds me of the way America USED to be back when we were optimistic.
Buying a Kawasaki for 4 lakhs for added 10km/hr speed won't be good because you'll always be worried about parking and checking scratches. Given the looks of Kawasaki Ninja, even a single scratch would bother me. Plus, we have a lot of sadistic fuckers in India, I don't think they might be able to bear a sight of Kawasaki Ninja. Kawasaki Ninja - hands down on looks and race track but KTM Duke 390 is the best value for money bike in current Indian market. Added abs, better equipments and you can tune your bike to reach even better speed. It the best option to touch 180 km/hr till Oct 2014.. i.e. until RC 390 is launched :)
A good presentation is like a game half won. And when you have the two of the best guys doing that for you, the chances of winning just gets even more greater. Rohan & Sagar are two of the best reviewers at PowerDrift. #fan. Love the way this was presented.
so its goes like this for Instrument cluster - Duke 390 (Really amazing) Equipment - Duke 390 (clear winner) Fuel Tank - Ninja (6 ltrs difference) Ergonomics - Ninja (Not in city though) Looks - Ninja (hands down) Value for money - Duke 390 (huge difference) Performance - Ninja (but not that much of a difference) So for me the winner is Duke coz i am not going for looks.... It also saves me 1.5 lac for petrol ;)
I did 1360 kms on my duke 390 in 760mins.. and boy i tell you nothing else in the world is as engaging, enjoying, thrilling and satisfying as a ktm duke 390!!
keeping the price point away..why don't u guys compare the duke 390 to BMW s1000rr 2015.....just kidding guys...the best vid I ever saw on these two bikes...keep up the good work..you earned a sub!
Being a CBR 250R owner, I haven ridden the Ninja 300 and the Duke 390. Except leaving the ABS and the Metzeler tires of the Duke, the Ninja scores on a lot. The Duke will give you very thrilling experience in city but take it to the highway, and it sucks. But the Ninja, it handles good (not as good as Duke) in city but take it to the highways, you will start loving it. I love the Ninja and after viewing your review of which one is good, I would say Ninja rocks. Nevertheless, the Duke is also good but can't give an all-rounder performance alike the Ninja. Kudos to PD. Never ever came across such a review. The other media guys have to learn a lot from you guys to know how best the review can be made.
well .. I am based in Melbourne Australia.... and I am a proud owner of Kawasaki ninja 300.... first of all I fallow all the reviews on your site and guys seriously you are doing very well..... best part is the reviews are good and the presentation is fantastic and interesting too.... I have visited many other sites with bikes and car reviews..... but your's is the best ..... well as of the verdict from me for these two bikes..... I would definitely go for Ninja 300 for overall performance and mind blowing looks....I have ridden KTM 390 ..it is impressive no doubt... but handling wise kawaski does best ..... thanks guys for such a lovely channel.... and reviews.... keep doing what you guys do best...."roar on the roads"
Guys, that's one hell of a good job with the new dimension video making and the best review!! My kudos!!! You could have turned-on the white apple though! LOL
It's like comparing a scalpel and chainsaw, both will get the things done but it all depends on the where you are tearing things up, is it on the racetrack or the urban jungle?PS--> The howl of the twin is simply unbelievably mesmerizing.
One of the best comparo ever!! I had a big grin for the whole 9 minutes>>You have done this complete comparo in a Hilarious way.Great editing as always. Kudos to PowerDrift
You guys are epic !! Nice humour , nice editing & camera work as always. Roadrash bit was very funny , especially at 02:45 . And the D 390 rider was like fuck this shit , I need to put on a cape for this ! Hearing "Its not safe to go that fast in India" from Sagar is like Salman Khan calling himself a virgin !! 07:08 Thanks for the DIY on tyre warming. You need to be on TV for sure.Keep up the amazing work.
On a serious note, How can one even compare bikes that sell from the same dealerships, and still do so much justice to the review. You guys beat your self time in and time again. Faadu Review!
Spectacular review fellas ! Negatives: -I did miss Mr. Commu-tourer in the video though. Could you please squeeze him into an outtakes video perhaps? :P Positives: -Far too many to start jotting down. Hence, we'll be following the K.I.S.S principle here; ergo, this was quite simply the sanest way to end this debate that is the Indian equivalent of the 'Blade vs R1 bar-room or rather chai-adda debate. That said, I was a prospective Ninja buyer a few months ago and ended up siding with Sagar. The 390's VFM is just extremely hard to resist. Two 390s for one Ninja being the equation. Effective tank-range aside, IMO, the 390 is just as much fun on the highways as touring always happens whilst cruising in the 110-120kph band. And in this band, the windblast isn't an issue unless you're contending with a massive headwind. I think different horses for different courses is the way when it comes to taking a call here and the better track tool (by a long shot) is definitely the Ninja and the better motorcycle all-things-considered is the Kay-Bajaj-TM 390. P.S: Good to see you back Mr. TenHut ! :)
I ride a RC 390 to office everyday no problemo....but its not made for bumpy roads and potholes and huge crevasse on road...But when i reach my office it take almost 15 minutes to settle my heartbeats back to normal.....God i love that machine.
Everytym i watch "PD" official videos der is ADRENALINE RUSH into my Veins" cant do anythg but.... Strap Up. Gear Up. Start Up. Cheer Up. Rev .n RIDE....... Thumbs up Guys@ POWERDRIFT Best MOTO CHANNEL 4m INDIA....
Love the comparison bw two.. N hell its fun to watch you both fighting .. Love the whole package .. Keep it up .. Juss like this .. No official crap .. God bless
The Ninja 300 is a really fun bike and the bright green paint is awesome, but it's not a freeway bike. There is no power up around 60 mph. If you get squeezed by a couple of cars on the highway you have no punch to squirt out of it. I was almost run down by a Ford cargo van. When I finally got the chance, I had to settle for letting him go around me. I could not speed away from him. When I tried he could match my acceleration. I have since moved on to a Z1000. Now all I have to worry about is that every road seems to be a lot shorter than it looks.
hans zarkov The Ninja is known to ooze out torque later in the rev range and hence the late feedback but the Z1000....my oh my, that is quite an upgrade. :P
EPIC comparison guys. These bikes may be priced similar somewhere in the world but here in India the diff is really big to ignore.Actually during my buying decisions(I own 390) 300 was never in the mix also such is the price difference. Sargent just puts it perfectly when he says n300 cost twice as much and its not twice a good a bike.
Dude both are completely different bike...if u have a desire to buy a litre class Super bike whether R1 or Zx10r or GSX1000r etc then u can not chose duke ,,,,,,its about fascination dude...motorcyclist enthusiast never think abt cost tht much other wise nobody will buy a BMW 1000rr in twice price compare to japanese super bikes :) its about desire to Ride legendary Kawasaki Bike ............
all pros and cons aside,D390 is the practical sportbike to own, but N300 is the one that the heart yearns..and I doubt this equation will change much even with the introduction of RC 390. sure, we'll see legions of KTM D390/RC 390 on the road but not because they are more desirable than the Ninja, but because, financially, they are an obviously logical choice. and #PowerDrift couldn't have put it better!! exactly why I rooted for the Ninja. and despite all the misgivings I had since last week when you guys announced the D390 vs N300 comparo in the preview, I absolutely loved the review (y)
I'd any day choose the 390 over the Ninja, I mean lets admit it, we might go to the track but you still spend 90% of your time on the bike in the city. And I have to agree with Sagar sir when he says it leaves a huge smile plastered on your face. Loved the review. P.S. - Anyway to buy your merchandise online? :P
Now I can say why I choose ninja300,by the way just change that IRC rubber you will be fine :) And talking about the duke 390 it has got the value for money, nothing compares it at that price point.well the real war begins when RC390 comes . LETS SEE
Brilliant Review yet again!! But Im guessing it would be even more challenging for K300 once the RC390 comes to market ? Ofcourse the comestic changes the Racing Handle bars, different sitting and everything put together, Would it really make a Difference in Performance? But I sure hope, Underground Ep 3 would be with the RC390..
WOW!! Great video. Love you PD. BTW Duke now has a slipper clutch. I own one; but mine doesn't go beyond 155. Don't know what's the issue. Also why didn't you guys compare 0-100? Duke's 5.5 secs definitely kills Ninja in that front.
So the real winner is here is what one that appeals to a particular rider. Somebody who is really throttle happy every time they push the go button, 390 is surely going to blow them away whereas the Ninja is meant for those who would want to be arriving their destination quickly but in a 3 piece suit. Should one feel the need to go all superman on Ninja, its more than capable to satisfy the needs. 390 is boy who grew up on the streets and knows the dark arts taught in the back alleys and on the other hand the Ninja is a subtle kid who grew up in the monasteries of some Japanese mountains, learning ancient martial arts. Hiding a plethora of moves that can leave you wondering what just happened in a matter of few seconds. It ultimately boils down to the rider's capabilty - the dark arts or the ancient martial arts. Both beautiful in the hands of one who can tame it.
u guys are supr crazy m a bike lover n iv bin watching alot of reviews from years but u guys are doing d best... the music.. the editing...graphics ..spcly humour...thumbs up man...keep rockin
I've booked a ninja 300 :) the looks are killer and so is the performance! I loved the video guys! Ten hut and sagar you guys are seriously gonna come on tv very soon! You guys are epic!!! :) keep up the good work! :)
guys.. most of your new videos have more music than audio .. I don't mean volume or the music, I mean you need more work on your audio engineering. it sounds fine on earphones but on speakers and laptops I can hardly hear you.. once again its not the volume of the music or the style but you voice audio needs to be on both sides of the surround pan..
I smile everytime i open up the throttle - Best part of owning the Duke 390 and All thanks to #powerdriftofficial for their awesome reviews which helped me buy the beast ...
Well its more on the lines of personal preference. If you want a bike that can take you in and out of traffic on a whim, all the while keeping the entire experience of city riding an absolute pleasure, then the 390 is you best bet. On the other hand, If you desire to tour the long stretched roads with winding curves, battling against the winds, then the 300 is the one for you. If I'm to pick between the two I'd choose the 300 (not being a fan boy here!) but its makes more logical sense to me mainly because of the work load on the engine being evenly distributed between the twin cylinders. The engine is smooth and rev happy and top end is sublime in terms of the scream and power. As far as my experience with single cylinders are concerned, they tend to be under a lot of abuse having to work over time riding around in the higher rev bands, it starts to feel like its out of breath after a certain age. I do love the instrumentation on the duke 390 which is my most favorite thing about the duke. Now we can put an end to this debate buy coming to an obvious conclusion... ...get the Triumph Speed triple instead! cause you can never put a price on happiness. :P
Try comparing Rc390(when launched) with ninja 300,because Rc 390's riding dynamics and performance would blow all the comparisons apart, even it looks hell awesome... :-)
Good one there Ten Hut and Sagar. My amateurish point. The price point of KTM will surely hurt after 3 years whereas, I am sure, Kawasaki can go on for years without major expenses, except for head on crashes
And the Nation got the answer, loud and clear. Arnab must be happy and proud now :D "Iss desh ki jantaa pak chuki thi" Thank you Team PD. And yes I want that Superman Cape Sgt. Sheldekar wore :P
Wow.. congrats guys.. you people showed us great show.. that was a wonderful comparison.. but other side government keeps increasing petrol price.. that time all we need to buy is original green apple, orange and go for a walk..
Call it Top Gear India. Lol. You guys are seriously talented.
I completely agree with you. #powerdriftofficial has certainly raised the Indian Auto journalism scenario to a new level. Sorry to say, but now when i see reviews on other channels. They seem to pale and stale. Way to go guys !!

I would buy the duke and the with the left over money i would buy the r15 (for the looks),

Good old days of PD 🥰
It's like comparing a scalpel and chainsaw, both will get the things done but it all depends on the where you are tearing things up, is it on the racetrack or the urban jungle?PS--> The howl of the twin is simply unbelievably mesmerizing.
Wow! This is nice. The game has moved up a few notches. Thanks for being innovative & sharing this :)

One hellva video and without that new concept it would have been so mundane. This way the bikes are equally justified. Great work both of you.
Love the comparison bw two.. N hell its fun to watch you both fighting .. Love the whole package .. Keep it up .. Juss like this .. No official crap .. God bless
The Ninja, so stealthy!, steals people's hearts. And a Duke, so dominant!, taking people its way. Aaaaahhhhh! yet another incredible review.

Man these videos are gold!
The new Ninja comes with dual channel ABS and MRF tyres with a 60k price slash. Now thats going to be tough to beat.
u guys are supr crazy m a bike lover n iv bin watching alot of reviews from years but u guys are doing d best... the music.. the editing...graphics ..spcly humour...thumbs up man...keep rockin
karan anand Thanks a ton bud! Appreciate it!
+1
I smile everytime i open up the throttle - Best part of owning the Duke 390 and All thanks to #powerdriftofficial for their awesome reviews which helped me buy the beast ...
Good work guys :) However you can add, cooking tandoori with the amount of heat the 390 emits in traffic :P
Love watching this video over an over again.. U guyz awesoommeee !!
We won't hold you back on this one, keep it going!
amazing review.. nxt comparison should be of Kawasaki Ninja 650 Vs Hyosung GT650R..
the best comparo by you guys! as i said before we would love more like these !! ❤❤🙌🙌
1:30 ..They are different because they are NEON ORANGE ... oh wait, they also break a lot easier! ^L^
Ninja vs ktm duke comparison is like comparing iOS and android !
