I believe he chose to use a strat in this duet to have an ever so slight softer tone than his usual instrument, his AT-100 cruiser bridge pickups may give. He uses a cruiser bridge in the neck position. So I think that may be why he chose a strat here. He’s a master and genius beyond most peoples recognition in my book! And so humble. I just respect him so much!

Andy Timmons is and always will be part 17 year old shredder, he is the same musician that wrote and performed Groove or Die after all. I wish the severely ignorant would not equate the desire to become highly proficient on an instrument to not being a good musician.
