Are you missing potatoes on a low carb intake? Well, it's time to discover this fantastic vegetable: turnip that has only 4g net carbs per cup and tastes exactly like potatoes.
For the best taste and texture, choose smaller turnips that have smooth skin and are the size of a tennis ball.
Ingredients:
· 4 large turnips
· 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
· 1 cup mozzarella or Gruyere Cheese, shredded
· ¼ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
· 2 tbsp butter
· 1 cup heavy cream
· fresh thyme
· minced garlic, optional
· salt and pepper

This looks yummy thank you for sharing
Is this suitable for lactose free diet?
Would a regular old knife work? I’m scared i will cut to thick and might need more hwc for it to be cooked?
You can definitely use a regular knife, just make sure to cut them in even pieces.
It harder with a knife though...turnips are tough...felt like I needed a mashetti
I wonder if one could parboiled bigger pieces first. Save time in cutting or slicing turnips ....
Turnips are great steamed too
So you don’t have to par boil the turnips first??
Turnip is usually eaten as raw , in salads , so u can do it without boiling. Just like carrots.
Good food
Thank you 😋
25 mins in the oven?
Omg! Yummmm
Good way to lose finger on that mandelon
I made their recipe, but the turnip was not fully cooked and also bitter😩
Maybe boiling them a little will help
You need to peel them, boil them first until almost tender (not completely), then strain them, and then bake them. This video didn't explain all that.
Was it a large turnip? The bigger they are the more bitter they become.
Another TH-camr tries to break my subwoofer.
Love the recipe but the music is awful. Thanks
