Great video content but maybe slow down the editing? I found it pretty difficult to follow. Felt like one long intro. Sorry, I hate being mean. I'm visiting Edinburgh soon so i'll def check out some of these places.
It's such a shame, that you jump so fast around in both pictures and the places you visit. I always LOVED your videos, but I don't feel like you get any chance to see what you are having in the different places or where you even are - it just goes too fast and happens in too much of a rush. 💚
This is the BEST day ever! , i wake up on my day off from work and the FIRST thing I see is a new video on TOPJAW. Yes! I just LOVED the EPISODE GUYS ❤
Loved this video! I did my MA in Edinburgh in 2019/2020 and it was cooooooooold. That's what I remember of it. The city is a beautiful open air museum.
A new video so soon, what a pleasant surprise!! Everything looked phenomenal, honestly cant wait to try some of these places out! Not a shocker but The Palmerston sounds like the most down to earth yet simple place, can can definitely see why everyone loves it!
yeah problem with all these videos is that slowly but surely, Edinburgh is becoming a city that can no longer be enjoyed by its residents. All the "cute" pubs that were quiet and local, are now filled with tourists, restaurants can't be booked and the locals get shunted out. It's bad enough during the festival, lets not extend it to the rest of the bloody year!
@@1061shrink1061 I live in Leith, there has been a lot of gentrification in the last decade and a half, but there are still loads of great local pubs. I regularly drink in Robbies, The Alhambra, The Harp and it’s all local Leithers there.
OMG - I swear you guys are mind readers!! Your vids always appear before my planned trips to the various cities. No need for me to spend hours researching restaurants, bars and hotels. Love The Balmoral but my absolute fave place to stay in Edinburgh is Prestonfield House - maybe check it out? 👍 Deffo going to book the Japanese/American place and a few others! Thanks guys!!
I would be happy to have one or two, maybe three of these dishes and you guys are having multiples in one day/night? WOW! Also, I don't travel like I used to but one of the most wonderful and often overlooked (or underrated) experiences is real breakfast (or any meal) with everything on a trolley cart delivered to your room and set up by a porter/staff person. Makes you feel like James Bond before the day even starts! Gotta be the right hotel and menu though. It is special to enjoy your breakfast and the view (hopefully), read the paper, take a nap and then shower and hit it! One of the best things to do while traveling.
OH WOW we have missed your 48 hour videos soooooooooo much!! My wife and I base our City breaks on your Videos!! we just love tasting cuisine from these different cities and your videos are the inspiration for the city breaks. Keep up the great work guys.
Terrific list again lads but you did miss out on a few faves! Scran & Scally is Tom Kitchin's cracking casual pub. There's also Michael's and their sister restaurants, absolutely phenomenal and just oozing with love. Drinkswise, The Spence bar at Gleneagles Townhouse, Panda & Sons and of course the legendary Hoot The Redeemer.
Wow, lads ! You always find, or get told, about the best places to eat. And drink. There is no other channel on You Tube which takes us to such exciting bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels, like you guys . The quality and presentation of the food and drinks are so intensely spectacular, that watching your video, like the MOTO restaurant, is almost unbearable. In a good way ! My brother and his partner live in England, and I'm going to tell him to watch this video and get out to Edinburgh quick smart. Where's our friend Big Lou ? We need another cameo from the big guy. All the best, lads ! Another sparking food odyssey which TopJaw delivers better than anyone !
Ah you did my home city proud! Great choices AND you could do ‘Another 48 hours’ and hit Eleanore, Montrose, Lyla, Mirin which are on par with places you featured here.
I am very happy that you are featuring some of the places I've been to. definitely great places. I hope to spend like a week in Edinburgh in the future. just eating and drinking
Top Jaw. You been on the bugle, or something?? Calm down. The pace is ridiculous. I love your channel, I’d happily watch 30/45 minutes vids, please lay off the gear.
I went to Edinburgh the day before this new video came out, sadly! Makar’s and Cairngorm Coffee are still great though. I suppose I just have a reason to go back now. Also, love the pacing guys, didn’t think it was too fast!
@@topjaw Interesting to see how many people commented on the speed. Can't say I noticed . . . but clearly the folks on here are totally happy with a 25 minute video with fewer cuts. Is that easier, more difficult, or f the lot a yas? Seriously though - how many channels have people complaining it's too fast? The message is - we want MORE. Oliver Twist was onto something?
This video is so rushed that It gave me a glimpse into what it perhaps feels like, to have ADHD!! 😂 Good locations though. Thanks for highlighting these hidden gems of Edinburgh. Now I’ll have to go review them myself. 🙏
maybe this is the editing style u guys are aiming for but i think it's way too much and over the top for a long format. maybe just spread out the restaurants you guys are reviewing into a couple videos and give a nice commentary over the food.
Long time listener, not a big commenter.. I know you can't please them all, but keep the short and snappy edits for Instagram. I used to love watching you guys go in-depth on the food and places you visited. The first 5 minutes felt like I skipped an intro or something? You're barely even showing the food you eat in these videos. You're not showing off the food in these places like you used to. Your videos are giving TripAdvisor vibez now. "Top 10 places to eat in XYZ" Short and not sweet, lack of content. Hope you bring back the old school ToppyJaw. Thanks.
I met Lloyd from the Palmerston a handful of times, 3/4 years ago. He still comes to mind as the worst bloke I’ve ever encountered, and I was mugged once.
beatnick is great, but it is far from the best coffee shop in Edinburgh! and thats Kays bar ruined now! every TH-cam tourist in the world will be in there by this time next week! Can we please stop turning Edinburgh into some kind of Disneyland for tourists!
Ugh! I love your content and have watched you for years, but this entire episode felt like a long “short” or an opening monologue. It was so hard to follow. Did NOT like this format.

Came here to say that.. felt dizzy watching it
its like they edited it for tiktok

Wonderful but a bit too rush, I watched it with 0.75x speed 😂
i love top jaw but this feels too rushed.
-- I agree. The video is on speed. 😂
@@JJMedusa yeah I would rather want few places than too many to showcase food well
Yea it feels like it's a highlights video of other longer vids.
@@Cisfordelta I can't even call this highlight.
yep, the old format was better. these 2-second cuts don't do the spots or the food any favors, impossible to follow.
You know when Billy Madison is trying to learn French, and he says, ”slow down?”
That’s me this whole video. Slooow dooown.

I can't recommend The Palmerston enough. Food wise, definitely the highlight of my trip to Edinburgh last year.
Edinburgh is so beautiful! Great companion to people who want to visit Fringe Festival.

Very nice program. I love TOPJAW 😊

I really want to visit The little Chartroom - the chef seems to have a big heart and little ego. How I like my chefs....
Brilliant highlight of Edinburgh’s scene.
I am very happy that you are featuring some of the places I've been to. definitely great places.

Perfect timing! I just found out I am going to Edinburgh in September ☺️
Boarding a flight to Edinburgh as we speak. Impeccable timing. Thanks fellas!

Not Day'um! lol I love all things whiskey, scotch, and bourbon!
This is amazing, would love to see you do glasgow too as it has a massive food scene
I guess I’ll be making another trip to Edinburgh! Cheers from Canada! 😊
Tremendous stuff, guys. Perfect snapshot of Edinburgh’s food scene right now. 👌🏼🏴
Thank you!

@Topjaw do you fellas run a marathon in every location to keep up with your calorie intake!? Top efforts, keep er lit
Giving me a head ache watching this.
Some of my favourite places and a couple of new spots too. You should try Eòrna next time you are up.
The Balmoral is exquisite.
Kays bar is on my list as a hidden gem
Fantastic clip! The hair looks great 😵💫
plz vilnius this summer, wont disappoint!
Love the studio
Funny that the first stand up in filmed in Vauxhall)

Great video boys
Fine I’ll go back to Edinburgh to do all these 😂.
Best Restaurants
Great British menu legends!
When are you guys coming to your cousin country Australia?! We are waiting down under!!!
Posh boys up from London on the tourist trail.
Go to Glasgow next
You need to try Throat punch for coffee, I would also recommend the boozy cow 😃👌
time to get down here to Australia team!
I saw you guys were at The Polwarth Tavern in Fouintainpark with King of Feasts, did that get cut for time or something?
Nice! I hope you guys will visit Philippines one day. 😊
Would love to one day!

Can't recommend Scotch highly enough. I enjoyed my tasting (thankfully my tastes aren't as expensive as yours). Try Glasgow 1770 Cognac Cask.
I need to go to Edinburgh
all you did was say ‘this is great’. top food reviewing
You need to come to Belfast
Let's see jesse film the vlog for a day
can I ask what lens you used on this ? is it parfocal ?
Tokina 25-75mm 2.8, yeah par focal but needs a bitta tuning for this sensor
Aaaaahhhhhhh.....slow down please ....... My minds reeling
Does anyone known if there are lists of the places he goes somewhere?
Yummy 👊

Catalonia mentioned
Nonsense, I’ve eaten in all of them , fantastic food but Dean Banks is the best imho, the food is on a different level compared to everything else!
That coffee shop looks like if zara opened a cafe
i feel like your videos are really fast, i would slow down each restaurant just a bit! great ep nevertheless!
I met Lloyd from the Palmerston a handful of times, 3/4 years ago.
He still comes to mind as the worst bloke I’ve ever encountered, and I was mugged once.
Came to the playlist so freakin early the video's unlisted 💀
Cheers for listing it lads 🥂
Chefs dont eat out anymore becasue they are mostly underpaid and dining out prices are a bit insane.
Singapore food in Edinburgh 😅 that’s so random
The hard cringe at the "little design company" - so belittling. Can't imagine that being said to a bloke.
It's Jemma's solo venture and she's incredibly talented. But little isn't inaccurate.
Someone getting offended on someone’s behalf, who is 100% not offended 😅
‘Dudes’, ‘Bro’ and fist bumps. Definitely do not vote Tory these lads! One for the watch on mute
Good list!
I'm not a fan of the hardcoded subs, and the frickin' quick cuts..........slow down guys!
There is so much more content you could have squeezed out of these places haha the pace is too fast
Pretty disappointed , not like the usual top jaw vids, feels very rushed. 😔

Any Edinburgh video that doesn't feature Ka Pow is missing out.
Beatnik not even in the top 5, pal. Sorry, your tastes are now labeled 'unrefined' XD
Very difficult watch. Presenter has a chip on his shoulder and belittles people. It’s not natural. They need a ghost writer asap. Shame
If you want to know what food is available in the UK, watch this channel not Jolly. Jolly just seem to want to denigrate UK food all the time. 😡

Overwhelmingly English (negative).

Definitely not the best places in Edinburgh. It's definitely most overpriced, though!!
