Going to London next month and honestly THIS is the video that makes me most confident in knowing I can get to explore the most amazing and authentic places of NOW. Thank you guys you're amazing!
@@Callie456 tried the Devonshire for Sunday roast and OOOO-MMMMM-GGGG and had a cocktail at the Connaught - pricey for sure but it’s amazing. Other than this I recommend Seven Dials market (the cheese train was amazing) and finally had dinner at Berner’s Tavern. Wanted to go to HIDE (also featured in their videos) but ran out of days!!
We were in London Dec 23… we found Regency cafe cause it was near our hotel.. just love the vibe of the place, how it operates and their classic English breakfast
I didn't get the notification! Noooo! Great to see you lads back hopefully the time in-between videos wont be as long next time! As always love you work lads!
Just got back two days ago from an incredible week in London that was very food and booze focused. Although we didn’t hit any of these places, we did visit: Maison François, Andrew Edmunds, Rita’s, Ginger Pig, Shuk, Quality Chop House, Gymkhana, Noble Rot, Brigadiers, Fez Mangal, Titu, The Drapers Arms, and Fallow. One week, and not a single bite of food that was less than exceptional. The London restaurant scene is firing on all cylinders right now.
Welcome back, boys ! This is where you belong ! Forget about going solo, or working for The Man ! Can almost taste the wonderful food and beer ! Onwards to 500,000 subscribers ! You can do it !
I'm officially addicted - the production, the photography, the music, the pace and the lovely casual banter about all things delicious. Very well done - I'm hooked! Come to Charleston SC - the food scene is ridiculous
I've been buying my coffee from The Algerian for twenty years, in person when I lived in London and by post since I moved to the country. I love everything about the shop, especially Marisa's smile, which always makes a dull day a little bit brighter. Long may they reign.
Love your content......watched it religiously for months before my recent trip to London. Fallow was spot on but the one thing I cannot fathom is the hype over Bleeker St. burgers. I went there because of all the mentions on your videos by chefs etc. Totally underwhelmed TBH. As an older guy Canadian who has grown with burgers over decades and had some amazing ones, seriously??? I am pretty sure all my family and friends would agree they could easily do a better burger in their backyard.....sorry. I realize there is some subjectivity on pizzas, burgers, etc but this Bleeker cheeseburger was barely a notch above a quarter pounder with cheese😆
Bleeker is exceptional but you do have to order the double. That way you get the meat flavour which is what bleeker is all about. It is a smash burger. It's the blend of the meat into the cheese and the buns thats so excpetional. FYI I have tried almost all of the notable burgers in London including several from Black Bear Burger (also good though the buns seem weaker than Bleeker) which is in this video. The Canadian guy may be too familiar with grain fed beef to appreciate aged grass-fed. Grain fed meat is a bit like petroleum in taste. I've also had good burgers in Paris, South of France NYC etc and Bleeker rivals them all.
that was cool, thanks! my hot tip is the front bar at The Connaught, particularly in Winter. it's the sort of place where you can sink back into a beautiful armchair all day by the fireplace, having amazing snacks & drinks, and chatting or reading a book. heaps more chilled out & cosy than the fancy martini bar 👍
Like the annoying sibling with their chocolate at Easter, I've been saving this for about as long as I could last. Top shelf video lads, my favourite since Lisbon. The backstories, the chats with the staff, the sequencing - chef's kiss!
Though we've not spoken for many years, Jesse used to be a good friend of mine in secondary school. Back then we knew him as 'the Dealer', as a crippling bout of diarhorrea in the summer of 2005 rendered him lactose intolerant for the majority of his adolescence. This culminated in him still collecting his daily carton of milk from the canteen but, for a price, you could 'buy a sip' from him to increase your own dairy ration. Most lunchtimes I'd follow him to the bike sheds (he called them the milking parlour) where he'd reveal the inside pocket of his blazer, bulging with its concealed creamy goodness. After casting a quick look around to ensure the coast was clear I'd lean into his blazer, pressing my head close to his chest and begin sucking on the plastic straw to get my moneys worth. Once I'd had my fill I'd stand back up, give him a firm handshake (through which the 20p was exchanged) and we'd get on with our respective days. I miss him dearly.
You guys are amazing that video was INCREDIBLE! I love how you’re keeping with things clean and simple again! Beautiful images, beautiful presenter , beautiful friendship, beautiful food! That’s it baby, it’s money! 8 years of hustling, you deserve all your success! I know it’s been a long time coming lads, but this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful staircase! ❤
Great Show, Good content great photography, And you didn't do a drunk rant at the end. You are more professional when you dont get wasted. Tipsy is ok. Good job.
good to see the Algerian, and shout-outs to the soul of another Soho era - Bar Italia, French House, Balans. None are the 'best', but all are a great experience.
Those are the exact same first two cocktails that I ever had at The Connaught Bar. My all time favourite, and still one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had (after nearly half of the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Bars list), is the Vieux Connaught though.
Hmm. No sure about your choice of bakery. I always go to Rinkoff's in Stepney, but the Algerian Coffee Store is the business. I've been buying from them since the '70's: gifts as well as coffee.
Loving your stuff I am in London this Saturday where do you recommend i take my girlfriend that's near the natural history museum please and thank you?
We're big fans of Yannick Alleno, this is his first London restaurant and we filmed there a month before they were, rightfully, awarded a Michelin Star. Pavyllon is priced lower than many inferior restaurants and the team there make you feel so, so special. Being able to sit at the huge chefs counter and watch a proper French brigade at work is an absolute privilege in my opinion. 5 course lunch menu for £55... no brainer.
@@topjaw I had lunch there a few weeks ago (solo). High quality as you say with a 'oui chef' vibe. They gave me a tour of the upstairs area after the refurb; nice front of house.

Great. I’ve been waiting for this list. You’ll need to do another for Jan 2025. So many new restaurants have come up since.
Fun video, good range of spots for all budgets, and great vibes. Cheers!

The Devonshire for a beef Sunday roast is defiantly the one, amazing
Quality of this content is astonishing
Extraordinary editing there lads. Looking amazing. Top list. Gotta do bar Crispin

Whatever takes your fancy from this film... Also check out the bar called 'Side Hustle', it's super close to the Opera theatre in Cov Garden
Very good!! Maybe you can add prices in the next one!
