Pretty cool the stuff she does, but really wonder why she choose Halo 3 graphics instead of Halo 2A. As while Halo 3 graphics are okay for its age, technically Halo 2A graphics look leagues better and a lot more unique in both the forerunners and the Covenant. In my personal opinion. Well that and from fact of the graphics in Halo 2A is way more clear in pixels.
I just can't believe they won't wind it up and give us halo:pc or Halo:xbox instead of literally rebuilding its engine and handing us, "remastered" stuff that doesn't feel like a fresh magazine or comic book or whatever you get what I am saying its digital.

H2A is still built on top of Halo 2, with its well-known atrocious coding , it is probably the hardest halo game to mod, if you don't count the games past the bungie era, since almost all modern games are anti-modding. On the other hand, halo 3 is beautiful, polished and most importantly, well-optimised. Praised for its physics, lighting engine and mob AI's, It has tons of mods, it runs on potato pc's, and its coding is quite decent . Also, 343 has released modding tools for the bungie era games. For all their failures, they've done great things for the modding scene, probably realising its importance.

People really forget that Halo's 1-3 always had a horror element embedded within I kinda wish Halo kept adding a taste of this element to their games but the last to have it was Halo 3
Not really Halo odst is older than Halo reach and compared to the amount of resources 343 Industries has compared to one person it's quite shameful to see how cartoony the art style has become over the years.

TSC would be good, you could make a demo bundle to share as shareware of the mod. totally legal because bungie also released TSC as shareware. Since you can download and play that level for free.

Comparing Halo CE: Anniversary to Halo 2 Anniversary (which were made by the same studio), it’s pretty clear that the team didn’t have enough time or enough of a budget to make a truly perfect remaster of the original Halo and just had to reuse a bunch of Halo 3 and Halo Reach assets.
Halo 2 Anniversary was incredible, phenomenal. All the sounds were recorded off real guns. The cut scenes look like a movie. But H2 is known as the favorite campaign. Theres multiple documentaries on this on how the outside community, and inside (developers) came together because H2s campaign is truly magical. All the music was sung by a REAL live, big style band. The guitar was a professional player who came in to do the music just for his love of the game. H2 deserved the remake
halo ce anniversary was actually mostly made by saber interactive, 343/MS outsourced the work to them, this is why so many of the levels really don't tonally match the original game, as there seemed to be be stuff lost in transition when 343 was sending over work.

The inclusion of the HUD outlines really improves the experience, since it neatly and firmly affixes the HUD elements to the helmet instead of just floating there like game UI (which it is) making it feel so much more immersive and tighter. I would've preferred the Halo 3 mandible outline instead of the ODST one but it's not that bad.
Its not actually the ODST Hud tho. Its a brand new HUD. If you meant that it looks like it takes too much inspiration from the ODST HUD tho, then that is legit.
One thing I realized when playing thru Halo 2 anniversary is it’s not just nostalgia, if that game was released today it’s still one of the best shooters of all time. I have a similar feeling about this
A lot of people don’t seem to realized that the ooz coming out of the ship is actually coolant. It’s suppose to be this glowing cyan alien oil leaking from the ships hull after the significant damage the Flood has done to the Cruiser. You can find something similar to this in the map Chillout and it’s remaster in Reach Anniversary.

Doom modding community, the Bethesda fan boy modding communities... there's a few that match the Halo community. I've been around since Halo CE modding was first ever a thing way back. I remember using Kornmann's tools to make maps, fun times.
There is no other FPS community like Halo in that no other community tries so fucking hard to destroy its own game. Modders like Kashiiera are exactly why Halo is on such thin ice right now. Microsoft needs to stop these fucking cretins already.

I've been seeing updates for this on Twitter and its been great seeing the progress. Personally id love to see the CE models with the halo 3 texture/looks, and the flood spores having their pulsing glow again.

the cortana mission was supposed to be the second half of floodgate when you're inside the crashed battlecruiser, so those types of doors being on the cruiser makes sense.
What I don't like about the mod is the added ODST visor vission in the dark and the minimap. I believe it takes away from the experience. Without the minimap, the horror aspect of the flood would be bigger since you need to search for the way you should go. And without the visor effect, you'd get jumscared much more by flood you don't spot with your flaslight. Other things are well done.
Just beautiful. All of this community halo work is what is giving me hope in the gaming world today. To see people putting in such large amounts of work into producing something that fans were expecting, years ago, is incredible.
The remaster Halo deserves* I don't like the implication that a fanbase is entitled to anything. Bungie created something special, and we admire them for it. That's a give and take relationship, built on mutual respect. There is no room for entitlement.
I mean story wise, Master Chief and the other spartans did have access to all forms of in field map navigations. Even when I was in the airforce we have GPS and Satellite connectivity to get updates on enemies position and new objectives.

Programming AI (especially AI as advanced as Halo's) is an extremely daunting task for modders. I won't go into the boring details, but just know that Kashierra may be working on it already, it's just taking awhile since she'd basically have to create AI from the ground up.
Wouldn't it just be default H3 Elite AI? Oh, I guess they weren't enemies in H3 right? People shit on 343i but Bungie deciding to make the Elites into allies and having brutes be the main officer enemies was the worst change that I don't think anyone asked for at the time.

I totally agree about the second half of the halo 1 campaign. I always compared it with the movie Predator. Its all fun and games and firefights until the hidden evil emerges, they slap a shotgun in your hands, and you spend the rest of the campaign running and gunning in terror. This mod looks awesome and is exactly the atmosphere the anniversary remaster was missing.
I've never even heard of Kashiiera before this video popped up on my home page but now I need to find this mod so I can play it. It looks incredible. When the first anniversary edition came out, I was still too young to really care that much about many of the things you mentioned, but looking at it now, it's glaringly obvious how much more Bungie could have done
just replayed all of the halo games for the hundredth time and this mod would have been awesome playing through CE. The ODST map and highlights would have been sweet little adds. -I miss my halo childhood :(
1 and 3 are the only games that make me as terrified as i should be of the flood. The Precursor trilogy in the books describe them in a way that rivals DeadSpace. A truly heart stopping cosmic horror.
I still love the description of ancient-humanity fighting the flood off to the last man and the Forerunners being cowards and attacking the humans from behind. The original Didact was truly a great antagonist of his time.

Oh yeah, the real-time infection. The fans did find a way to implement this for Halo CE, mainly custom edition. There are some mods and custom missions that utilizes this. Well known is SPV3.
The main thing to consider with Halo CE AE was the fact it was using the original engine. It's great in that it replicates the gameplay but bad in that there's only so much you can do with the game. The game had the new graphics over the top of the old game rather than this mod which appears to be from the ground up.
Im all for remasters and such but I really want to see people/creators make their own original content with their own stories/assets kind of like what CMT did with spv3 but given the mod tools we have today, I think they could do better. With the likes of what the fallout community does with campaigns on the GECK.
The 3 engine fits so well. I only would want and only would want the og assualt rifle and not 3s in it. The crunchy boom of that full auto has gone unmatched in any Halo after. Plus 60 count em 60 of that 7.62, 🤌 icing!

Besides the the flood levels, the 343 Anniversary of Halo and 2 are actually really good, I wish people would hate on 343 for the idea of hating it. Give the anniversary games credit where it’s due
Would have been good to hear how this compares to SPV3, which as you know was another attempt to remaster CE, but in the original engine and with a focus on expanding and toying with the original, rather simply remaking it like for like.
SPV3 is pretty bad, it experiments way to hard, destroys the balance of the game, and looks awful. It also just completly removes all of the original vision that CE had and replaces it with one that doesn't actually care for the games or the series.
I'm excited to see what her marine models look like. The original marine model in CE is my favorite and I never liked the more plastic look of the anniversary ones
I also like the aniamtion in the mod. I’m not a huge fan of motion capture, it often lacks the choppy aniamtion needed for that punchy vibe, it’s a perosnal thing. Here I like it

@MintBlitz The HUD objectives are purple for lore reasons, in Halo CE Cortana is purple, so her directions/objectives on your hud should be her color for immersion.
The horror-esque direction with the flood and making the games rated M is something that really made Halo campaigns more enjoyable in my eyes. Too bad Infinite tried to cater a little too much to minecrafters and concerned parents.
Yeah Halo 5 and Infinite with their toned down violence/blood is pretty lame. Compared to Halo 1. Just melee the bodies making tons of blood everywhere was fun.

Man that mission and seeing what happened to Keys still hurts me inside. He was such an amazing character.
The doors are the same objects as in Halo 3's campaign mission Cortana, seen before Chief and Cortana reunite

You get to use fuel rod, but what about energy sword? CE Anniversary shows them as the swords we know, but they disappear anyway. It is super awkward.

I've never even heard of Kashiiera before this video popped up on my home page but now I need to find this mod so I can play it. It looks incredible.
When the first anniversary edition came out, I was still too young to really care that much about many of the things you mentioned, but looking at it now, it's glaringly obvious how much more Bungie could have done
just replayed all of the halo games for the hundredth time and this mod would have been awesome playing through CE. The ODST map and highlights would have been sweet little adds. -I miss my halo childhood :(
1 and 3 are the only games that make me as terrified as i should be of the flood. The Precursor trilogy in the books describe them in a way that rivals DeadSpace. A truly heart stopping cosmic horror.
I still love the description of ancient-humanity fighting the flood off to the last man and the Forerunners being cowards and attacking the humans from behind. The original Didact was truly a great antagonist of his time.
I played both versions of the mod it’s really a lot of fun and the firefight as well.

Honestly VISR/night vision mode should be implemented into all the mcc games as an optional skull. Also this mod looks freaking sick. 👌👍
Agreed. Even if all it does is replace the Flashlight/Cloak Button. Somehow make it exclusive with the skull that gives Chief cloaking in 2 as well.

Oh yeah, the real-time infection. The fans did find a way to implement this for Halo CE, mainly custom edition.
There are some mods and custom missions that utilizes this. Well known is SPV3.
Its wild that this was made with an older ODST engine, while the official version was made with a newer Reach engine
this look is great. there is a Halo 3 odst Danger Canyon (and other halo ce maps) that are incredible to play, looks pretty too

The main thing to consider with Halo CE AE was the fact it was using the original engine. It's great in that it replicates the gameplay but bad in that there's only so much you can do with the game. The game had the new graphics over the top of the old game rather than this mod which appears to be from the ground up.
This looks great!. I hope to be able to play it someday.
When she makes The Maw i will 100% be on that. The maw on legendary is always my go to.

Im all for remasters and such but I really want to see people/creators make their own original content with their own stories/assets kind of like what CMT did with spv3 but given the mod tools we have today, I think they could do better. With the likes of what the fallout community does with campaigns on the GECK.

The 3 engine fits so well. I only would want and only would want the og assualt rifle and not 3s in it. The crunchy boom of that full auto has gone unmatched in any Halo after. Plus 60 count em 60 of that 7.62, 🤌 icing!

Besides the the flood levels, the 343 Anniversary of Halo and 2 are actually really good, I wish people would hate on 343 for the idea of hating it. Give the anniversary games credit where it’s due

Would have been good to hear how this compares to SPV3, which as you know was another attempt to remaster CE, but in the original engine and with a focus on expanding and toying with the original, rather simply remaking it like for like.
SPV3 sucks for a first time play through as it literally adds fake plot points out of lore
This follows the books; which did mention the troopers you fight in were meant to be ODST
SPV3 is pretty bad, it experiments way to hard, destroys the balance of the game, and looks awful. It also just completly removes all of the original vision that CE had and replaces it with one that doesn't actually care for the games or the series.
The mod is amazing, i always wondered why ODSTs had nvg but spartans didnt lol

I also like the aniamtion in the mod. I’m not a huge fan of motion capture, it often lacks the choppy aniamtion needed for that punchy vibe, it’s a perosnal thing.

If they remade CE,2,3,and odst on the slip space engine with the entire weapon library that’d be pretty sweet

@MintBlitz The HUD objectives are purple for lore reasons, in Halo CE Cortana is purple, so her directions/objectives on your hud should be her color for immersion.
The HUD isn't purple. The objectives should be blue to match the HUD
The horror-esque direction with the flood and making the games rated M is something that really made Halo campaigns more enjoyable in my eyes. Too bad Infinite tried to cater a little too much to minecrafters and concerned parents.

Yeah Halo 5 and Infinite with their toned down violence/blood is pretty lame. Compared to Halo 1. Just melee the bodies making tons of blood everywhere was fun.
