the carbine glitch I remember being the "Hot Dog Dispenser" from an old video and candy was another word but i remember spamming this glitch in customs for no reason
The greatest halo animation I've ever seen. Very fluid, and so much character expressed through movements. And the sounds! The sniper sounds so aggressive and punchy and powerful.
This was amazing! And threw me back to those RvB action scenes. The animation was incredible, each character had a lot of personality despite everyone wearing helmets, and it's hilarious seeing Spartans take advantage of a glitch. Almost puts an existential spin on whether they're real or in a simulation. Hope to see more from you, however long it takes!
If Monty, rest his beautiful soul, saw this, he'd be damn well proud! This screams his style along with your own twist, and my god, from start to finish, this was quality!! Brought me back to the days from Season 8 to 10 of RvB!!
@kolsh4757 Monty Oum was an animator for RoosterTeeth and did all the kick ass fight scenes from Season 8 onwards for the series. But he's probably better known as the man who created the ongoing series RWBY, which he created after Season 10 of RvB finished. He died way too young and had a lot of years ahead of him but what he did manage to create was legendary
@@kolsh_hq Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. It's their Team name as well as the shows title. Don't watch beyond Season 5 though. Monty Oum has been dead for a few years, and he didn't create anything but some of the story after season 4. It was leaked that RT changed the story so heavily. And it shows. The first 3 seasons were good. Season 4 and 5 were alright and everything after was hot garbage.
The fluidity of the animation is so well done! All the tiny motions of the head, all the expressiveness in the shoulders and slight head tilts and motions is incredible attention to detail and really goes appreciated, well done on the amazing work, truly incredible stuff!
This was a genuine godsend holy hell, this animation feels so expressive and alive while also looking super realistic and I just love every little detail you put into it, not to mention the sound design. Good shit Hyper, keep up the good work
THIS, THIS RIGHT HERE... That is glorious. On par with the later animations seen in Red Vs Blue... No. Even BETTER than that! I knew you from those crazy reload animations. Always loved those. Haven't seen anything from you in a while, and then you come with THIS MASTERPIECE?!? Amazing stuff! This deserves some propper recognition, honestly! Fantastically well animated and everything. Love it!
My thoughts exactly. This animation brought me back to when Monty Oum was putting in THE WORK for RvB and RWBY. Hyper's got a fantastic style and honestly could definitely strike out on his own in the realm of animation if he chose to do so, this is awesome!
Halo 3 has a timeless aesthetic, but he even managed to give it one of the few things it lacks, that being entirely authentic weapon animations (the sniper rifle actually locking empty, then dropping the bolt on the new round, etc).
Hmm, this might be more in the ballpark of a saxxy awards SFM short or a general animation bt Kostaminem or Cen0o (highly reccomend watching pootis engage)
Stuff like this is what cements you as one of the most iconic TH-camrs of all time, Hyper. I have no doubt that you've inspired many, entertained even more, and you've refined your craft with every step you've taken. The time spent in graph editors is well worth it for content like this. Thank you. Every time you upload, it's cause for an ear to ear grin.
This is so awesome , every little detail like an explosion's sound delay and 1 shot from different perspectives makes this so cinematic but not toо much . Like an episode from a good TV-show .
Best Halo animation I've seen in a while! I loved how personalized the lighting and animations were, yet the assets and little particle effects were straight from Halo 3.
This is stunning, I thought we were blessed when you made a single high quality H3 animation like... 2 years ago but... this blows it out of the water. Absolutely incredible.
Tbh, this looks like the perfect representation of Fin McMissile and Tow Mater from Cars. One of them being a skilled marksman using only what's at his disposal and the other using the most goofiest tactics that somehow benefit them. Also the animation and voice acting is just absolutely phenomenal. Plus the comedic elements too. Very unique
The fact that this is literally 10x better quality than modern RvB and was made by one person is just insane. Not sure if that says more about how good single-person animations have gotten or how badly RT, a multi-million dollar production company, has handled the one thing that made them famous in the first place.
@@d11asian If that was the case, then why does Disney and Dreamworks not just let random hobbyists animate? My point is not that corporations can’t possibly make good content, it’s that it’s mismanagement creates poor content. It’s definitely possible to make good animation in a reasonable timeframe (read: within deadlines), but it obviously needs a good team with a clear vision and direction. My point was that RT, which btw was infamous for crunch culture even during RvB’s peak, managed to somehow get worse and worse as their budget increased. Meanwhile your hobbyist animators have advanced so much that they’re surpassing this massive team all on their own. That’s not because of deadlines, it’s because of lack of direction at RT amongst many more factors.
@@KayJay01 They could but... deadlines and most hobbyists would want money from someone who is richer than them and can easily provide for them. And contracts and whatnot so they can't do some bullshit. Well more like no bullshit can go between. Even hobbyists who are good something are assholes too. It's human to try to take advantage of something when there is one.
The longest running Machinima series started with the absurd setting of blood gulch, "It's just two bases in the middle of a box canyon." It's nice to see an animator make a short out of a glitch. Oh, really love the spartan voice annunciators.

You can tell this was something that hyper just actually did back in the day for fun, and he turned it into a memorable and hilarious work of art
Incredible animation, great angles, an awesome video.
This guy’s sense of weight and impact are absolutely perfect! I love every bit of it!
hollow steel
It’s been so long since I’ve seen a Machinima (let alone a Halo one), and now it looks like actual cutscenes? This is fantastic!
Not really "Machinima" But it IS an incredible animation.
This was rendered in Blender for sure. I don’t think it’s a Machinima.
Not a machinima
Y’all, we blurred the lines between machinma and rendered animation along time ago (especially with halo) let’s not argue over what is and is not machinma anymore and just, enjoy the ride
This isn't halo, read the description. It's clearly super mario 2.
This just brought back some of the best memories of Halo 3. I felt like Monty would have been proud of this short in every aspect.
I wish I could go back to these times.
Who is this Monty?
@@thedacenorpes3681 Monty Oum! He was the lead animator for a lot of the fight scenes in Red VS Blue for a few years, and also made the legendary animation Haloid back in the day.
@@cynamin9283 He also created and animated the first few seasons of RWBY, as well as the Dead Fantasy series of fights between Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive characters. He was a pioneer in his own right.
its super mario bros 2 (duh)
bro fr just did a +ULTRARICOSHOT
If I was part of rooster teeth I would pay top dollar to have you animate red vs blue.
This is beyond beautiful, super smooth and absolutely amazing.
Not to mention entertaining.
Glad to see ya again.
I think one of the best parts of this short is the sound design. Absolutely incredible, and someone clearly put a ton of work into it.
Well done.
The sniper sound seems like a mashup of the MW2 barrett sound and halo sniper. It's so meaty and satisfying.
I totally agree, everything was beautiful
This animation was so high quality. I love how you can tell it's supposed to be Halo 3 by how every model and sound used is from Halo 3, but you can tell it's way higher quality as well. I loved seeing this vid now and I imagine if I saw this when I was a kid playing Halo 3 in it's prime it'd be one of my favorite videos ever
I like how when the first group begins to aim their stance is exactly like in halo 3
the carbine glitch I remember being the "Hot Dog Dispenser" from an old video and candy was another word but i remember spamming this glitch in customs for no reason
The best part is that the ending is probably an actual major design flaw that happens to covenant while they're reloading
I think Multiplayer is a virtual sim in lore to train the spartans
I haven't seen a video like this in a loooong time. Thanks for the laughs.
If Monty, rest his beautiful soul, saw this, he'd be damn well proud! This screams his style along with your own twist, and my god, from start to finish, this was quality!! Brought me back to the days from Season 8 to 10 of RvB!!
who is this monty you are referring to
@kolsh4757 Monty Oum was an animator for RoosterTeeth and did all the kick ass fight scenes from Season 8 onwards for the series. But he's probably better known as the man who created the ongoing series RWBY, which he created after Season 10 of RvB finished. He died way too young and had a lot of years ahead of him but what he did manage to create was legendary
@@MadDadLad What does RWBY stand for?
@@kolsh_hq its the name of the show but its the names of the four main characters
1:27 Look how the rocket launcher jostles as the tube ratchets into place. This animation is too damn real.
I love it how there's a JBA reference in the scene and the subtitles in 1:41 but still what a great Halo animation, high quality.
Man's progressed from making goofy reload animations to a whole skit!
He also made the animations for COD MW 2019
bro dont call it goofy bruh
@@wudaheill they were literally intentionally goofy bruh so that’s what they are, goofy reload animations
Bro went from making goofy reload animations to getting hired by infinity ward 💀
@@tyranttype1984 pretty sure he made them for MWII too
I didn't know such amazing animation and lighting could be possible. This is absolutely beautiful and amazing in every way.
Make it count.
[Magic Ammunition - Lightspeed Shot]
This was a genuine godsend holy hell, this animation feels so expressive and alive while also looking super realistic and I just love every little detail you put into it, not to mention the sound design. Good shit Hyper, keep up the good work
THE FIRST GLITCH IS BASICALLY THE COIN FROM ULTRAKILL IM GONNA LOSE ITT
From animating viewmodels to THIS?! You've come so far. The animation, sound design, voice acting, everything is amazing!
This shits on RvB lmao, no fuckin contest.
Hmm, this might be more in the ballpark of a saxxy awards SFM short or a general animation bt Kostaminem or Cen0o (highly reccomend watching pootis engage)
@@MasterChampoMonty was literally sleeping under his desk during RvB S9 and S10. I miss him.
Was not expecting a full on animation, this is unbelievably well done! BRAVO 👏
i wish the animating of characters was that realistic in the actual game..they actually shoot like they should IRL
Very exaggerated but won't deny the skit is great.
This
WHY DO I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE
Instant classic. Absolutely love this.
I want this man to reboot RvB.
Bro I thought it *was* RvB for a second
@@Rocco049 yeah cause that character looks like Caralina and fights like donut
@@jimbatter5246 Carolina?
Probably not a reboot, but if he wanted to start over from where RoosterTeeth left off with season 14 I wouldn't argue against it.
@@cricryCarolina is a character in RvB that has that same armor and color
This is so awesome , every little detail like an explosion's sound delay and 1 shot from different perspectives makes this so cinematic but not toо much . Like an episode from a good TV-show .
I almost thought this was a clips from tv show 🤣🤣
the animation is great.. nice to see detailed acting.! really sells it.! great work.!
Wait it’s the guys who made the Glocket Launcher? Holy crap, I’ve always wondered what a full animation by them would be like, and it’s stunning
The GUY
@@picapaudeoculos exactly what I came to this comment to say you got it xD
@@mechwarrior7278 this one he certainly had a lot of help, but I imagine that the previous ones were just hyper

A god tier Halo animation getting the recognition it deserves.
Great animation brother I enjoyed it thoroughly

Best Halo animation I've seen in a while! I loved how personalized the lighting and animations were, yet the assets and little particle effects were straight from Halo 3.
that was the most 'solid snake' spin I've ever seen
This is stunning, I thought we were blessed when you made a single high quality H3 animation like... 2 years ago but... this blows it out of the water.
Absolutely incredible.
It's rare to see a punch-rush sequence executed well in 3D, as expected of hyper to do it perfectly!
This feels like old school RVB! I Love it!
Shit now im gunna re whatch rvb again

This is absolutely incredible. This whole thing captures how it felt to play Halo 3 in the late 2000s
I thought fan animation like this were dead, I haven’t see something like this sent 2010, and it being halo 3 brings back so many memories thank you
Tbh, this looks like the perfect representation of Fin McMissile and Tow Mater from Cars.
Probably says more about professional deadlines vs someone animating at their own pace on their own personal free time
@@d11asian you right, OP just sounds ignorant
Wtf even is this comment lol
I would actually pay for a series about these two!
How much? 🤔
@@PSIChris more than the price of the Halo TV show
The longest running Machinima series started with the absurd setting of blood gulch, "It's just two bases in the middle of a box canyon." It's nice to see an animator make a short out of a glitch. Oh, really love the spartan voice annunciators.
You know what thus map needs? More sand
