Recreating Believe was so epic
That intro was really good
As much as I gotta admit that Lego has the best sets, mega blocks just fits halo better because of how much more authentic the figures and sets are. How the mega block figures are more articulated and the sets have a more accurate silhouette. It would be hard to make Lego have the needed detail for what it’s depicting
I agree on that. I have nothing against Lego but I just can't imagine Chief as a brick man.
Don't forget the colours. 90% of Lego's colours are bright and plastic-y, whereas Mega has much more natural tones, more metallic colours, and even marbled pieces which mix multiple colours to create a camouflage or dirt effect.
Just compare Lego's $600 "UCS" Razorcrest to the actual ship from the show, the colour is way off. Lego fanboys claim it would have been too expensive to make it silver, meanwhile Mega made a Cybertruck in full metallic silver and charged less per piece.
I think seeing the character translated into the lego style is a part of the charm though

Honestly I’m perfectly happy with mega Construx having the licenses for Halo. I even feel like the halo set designers do a better job than most LEGO Star Wars sets.
Lego Star Wars has the best sets, but some recent ones like the Coruscant Guard Gunship are a downgrade compared to the 2013 Republic Gunship due to barely any play features.
Only if they had Lego's distribution :(

This honestly makes me want to see the Mega Halo game brought back, or revamped in some way. Mega just handles Halo better than I think Lego would.
Lego would probably cartoonify it removing aspects of guns and characters that look too much like real military vehicles

Honestly, Mattel (the people who own Mega/Mega Blocks/Mega Constructs) is currently printing money like crazy with the Halo IP. I just kinda wish they'd bring back a few sets, like the Halo Reach spaceship set. I want that as a display piece on my damn router!
or give us that megabloks game!

I feel like lego wouldn't do halo justice. Megaconstrux does a pretty bang up job for the designs (I own hundreds of dollars of halo megaconstrux, I am in debt)

Lego minifigs wouldn't do the series justice. Mega's minifigs are dang near perfect

Flipbriks makes super faithful halo recreations before this and hasn't gotten any of the respect he deserves!
That diorama deserved being preserved in a public place / Halo museum for all to visit. It's an absolutely incredible dedication to Halo, and probably the best "marketing" I've ever seen. Any idea what happened to it?
@@skywardsoul1178 It was dismantled into smaller sections, portions were given away to various folks and other places I don't even know. Some pieces when on tour.
But the top of the hill with Chief is on display at 343i studio's showroom to this day.

Mega would’ve done halo better. Lego wouldn’t make guns. Also as someone with hundreds of dollars of mega halo, they are really good.
Completely agree. They even made a game with mega but it got cancelled. Mega in halo is very important as it holds collectors, animators etc… who all truly understand halo compared to the game devs.
A Mega Blocks Halo game would be very fun.
Too bad 343 canceled it and instead we got two of the worst Halo games in existence, both Halo 5 and Halo Infinite.

@@bconroy328 It's mainly the figs, I'm fine with most of the sets but man they are butchering the clone prints, and I guess I could nitpick on the Gunship, but it's problem is it's size.

I remember as a kid after playing Lego Star Wars, I started literally TH-cam searching everyday for a Lego Halo game trailer just in case 😄
What's funny is how at one point there was a megablocks halo game in development before getting canceled. There's a bit of gameplay and tbh it looks pretty good
If you want some Lego like Halo there is something, its Called Halo Mega they do it very good and do it like 12 years i think.

Tbf the Megablox Halo sets are awesome. The mini figures are well-articulated and well-painted. I got the Warthog set and it has WORKING SHOCKS!

And I hope they don’t, because frankly, Lego couldn’t do shit with that license. Hell- I wish that they had a bunch of licenses that Lego does. Imagine how cool it would be to have Mega Clone Troopers, bro. *Mega lightsabers.* You could probably recreate so many shots from the movies and even more that just look plain badass.

I remember when Lego had like a set suggestion box in the early 2000s and id submit Halo so much I got a reply email explaining its a licensing issue. This is amazing though!
