Here in Germany we honk Teslas from the left lane on Autobahn at 130 mph. Did you see Tesla on Nürburgring? Battery empty after 9 minutes, from 90 to 10%. Did you hear the V8-sound at the Tesla? No? Did you see great engineering on Tesla? Haha, no. .... Tesla-drivers are like these Prius-drivers on South-Park: sniffing their own farts.

My wife has the Model y performance and I have a tune c63 she gets me till 115mph that’s when Benz rolls The Tesla back in. I’m saving my change for the MOdel S Plaid. I don’t give a mean shyt if it don’t make any noise. Just awesome how far technology has come and it’s a American vehicle that beats everything in its price range. It’s just the interior that I’m not a fan of but it’s whatever man. Tesla for the win 🏆

When someone pulls up to me at a stoplight, they don't even try. They sit there all meek and when the light turns green they wait for me to start moving. I usually start off slow just to piss them off. It's funny how they won't even attempt to look like they are accelerating hard for fear of what will happen to them. I don't even have to race them to win. It's a new paradigm.
Yet on the highway you won’t race anything as you’re already doing 60% of your top speed at the speed limit... my bullshit 335i daily fucked a model 3 performance up on a 60 roll, 3 times in a row. Can’t imagine what a proper 600+hp car would do to a s dual motor

Anxiety that their toys look boring next to a electric family car. I was more a offroad guy, used to drive a Cherokee XJ for 21 years. Won´t miss the experience, no bad words about the car. But times changed and we bought a EV. I actually hope Jeep will go more electric. Can´t wait for the Wagoneer S.
@@Christs_Apologet no I don't think so. F1 cars can easily do a sub 9 second quarter mile time. F1 cars hit 200 kph in 4.5 secs. Plaid takes 6.6 seconds.
Except that EV charging in the US is primarily done from burning cole, also the process to mine the materials to make the batteries are very invasive to the planet, and the amount of pollution created to ship the materials around the world is very polluting. I agree they are very safe and fast...good for the environment...not so sure.

And you know solar and wind infrastructure is gaining, why keep making the coal argument? It won’t be coal forever and many wealthier Tesla owners have home solar.

Driving a 1990 Honda accord till it dies is better for the environment then buying any new car. That all said, I have a 1100+ hp jeep trackhawk and an order in for a plaid. I'm not buying the plaid to save the planet from my jeep, I'm buying it because it is faster 😉
In German autobahn or any race track, the Tesla will have no chance of seeing the tail lights of any decent race cars. Try looking for videos with Tesla sedans racing against legit race or sports cars.
The M3P is often put up against the M3 and c63 which are all roughly the same class on track. The Tesla holds its own. But I think most people miss the point of a Tesla it’s a car with a whole infrastructure built around it. If your going electric it just makes sense and the fun you can have in a car that you have to spend a whole lot for in an ice car is just part of the package.

Well, race cars are cars designed for racing with little to no use in everyday life at all. Teslas are everyday car with five to seven seats and much space for people and luggage which can switch to race mode just for fun. That’s incredible.

Maybe most folk don't indulge in traffic light grand prix, i rarely see it these days, used to see it a lot more back in the 80's and 90's, probably down to all the cameras and lower speed limits

The new Plaid is running 9.24 1/4 all day everyday 0-60 a solid 2 sec or less at 5800 pounds. Then you consider a $20 charge once a week compared to $200 in gas. Over 5 years an SUV costs $60 to $80 grand is just gas outside of everything else. Gas prices are about to spike like crazy in America.

@@bamafam Plus, if you factor in the savings on fuel and maintenance the cost is probably lower than the average car. I've owned mine a year and spent about $60 on maintenance, but only because I don't own a jack. I've had the tires rotated twice. Our Honda CRV would've cost at least $200 in oil changes alone (not counting air filters and other issues) if we'd been using it over the same time period. And fuel costs are much lower than gas!

Just came back of a 10,000km road trip from Montreal to Texas with my 5 kids and my wife in my Tesla Model Y AWD 7 seater. Never had so much fun driving.

@@NastyNeil1000 here in the uk, my ebike is the fastest off mark from the lights, only occasionally does someone actually put their foot down, most plod along at 25mph or even 20 mph in some places, so not much point accelerating hard, but you cant accelerate any quicker than the car in front of you lol

@@airforce66 No production matters as that's when it becomes a real car. It has to go through a lot of safety and conformity tests. Once passed then you are comparing like with like.
With a prototype you can cheat as much as you like. Cut a lot of corners. I'm sure the first one off the production line will blow people away but until then it's just a cool oddity.

The new Plaid is running 9.24 1/4 all day everyday 0-60 a solid 2 sec or less at 5800 pounds. Then you consider a $20 charge once a week compared to $200 in gas. Over 5 years an SUV costs $60 to $80 grand is just gas outside of everything else. Gas prices are about to spike like crazy in America.

@@bamafam Plus, if you factor in the savings on fuel and maintenance the cost is probably lower than the average car. I've owned mine a year and spent about $60 on maintenance, but only because I don't own a jack. I've had the tires rotated twice. Our Honda CRV would've cost at least $200 in oil changes alone (not counting air filters and other issues) if we'd been using it over the same time period. And fuel costs are much lower than gas!
Or the the same price get a midsize luxury suv which is more reliable and actually fits panel gaps
