How am i supposed to do any software things without graphics?
My pc has no signal to the screen. I have put the gpu into a test rig and it works. On my main pc there are 2 gpu slots, both having the same result: no image.
Weird is that the mainboard is not giving any peeping or anything regardless of what i am doing: i can plug out the ram sticks, the graphic card and everything and still no error peeping, just the silent sound of the coolers cooling.
The gpu‘s turbines are not spinning when in my main pc but on the test rig they were.
Please help, till yesterday everything was fine and now all of a sudden my pc is broken

@@marcelbujacz8997 Reaching out in hopes I may be able to help. I ordered my PC from a custom PC parts store in the capital of the country I live in. The PC had to travel by ground around 10 hours before arriving in my city. I received the PC in a padded box, HOWEVER, the PC did not come packed with packing peanuts or foam to ensure the parts don't move or come loose.
When I received the PC, one of the first things I noted was that the outputs on the motherboard were not aligned correctly with the case.
Long story short, the GPU had come loose somewhere along the journey and although it was receiving power (RGB on/fans spinning and getting hot) I wasn't receiving any signal (tried 2 HDMI's and a DP 1.2 AND 1.4)
The solution was to unplug, unscrew and take off the GPU and reinstall it. Worked perfectly. Make sure all your components are correctly plugged in.

@@Zfx360 I figured out a fit my first slot didn’t work that’s why my display wouldn’t work so I had to put it to my second slot
But before doing so gotta unplug all the wires from the mothers like everything and take out your gpu for a while
And take out the battery on your motherboard for 5 minutes and put it in by it’s self with no wires nothing plugged in at all and on the case make sure to hold down your power button for 5 to 10 seconds it’ll reset everything
And it’ll make sure that there’s no static any where
Next step put the gpu in to the second slot or wires first to your motherboard doesn’t matter and plug in your monitors to your gpu
(Do not have your power supply plugged in all through the steps)
Oh and when you turn on your pc make sure the monitors are on before you turn it on
If it still not showing a display or anything then it’s your gpu

It’s also worth checking to see if your GPU needs a fresh coat of thermal past as well. Sometimes these things can dry up or just not have enough to begin with and begin to over heat thus causing them to malfunction and or stop working. While this isn’t always the case and only a small chance of happening depending on the age of the GPU it still can be possible. Something to consider adding to your troubleshooting check list.

    • @kwatkins7272
      @kwatkins7272 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Indydi most GPUs have a heat sink of some sort. If you carefully disassemble your GPU you’ll see where the old paste is located. It’ll be obvious. Usually around the center of the card. Right so,
The BIOS says there is a GPU plugged into the PCIe slot.
Windows says under Device Manager > Display Adapters > ---> Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
The GPU is lit up, and the Monitor is plugged into it, and I get a display, but I'm wondering why it does not say 3070 anywhere.
    ASUS PRIME x570 Pro
iGame GeForce RTX 3070 Advanced OC-V (only one available in country)
    Any Ideas?

Have you installed the GPU driver software? With the new Nvidia GPU's you need to download the GeForce Experience software, you can find it here: www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/

@@BeyondtheIights Yeah. I got it to work.
I had to go to the colorful (they make iGame) website. Not NVIDIA. I found the driver for the card I have, and it works after restarting. Was a mess trying to find it, as they have a "smart" website that kicks me over to the chinese language site, since that's where I'm staying. Even though I constantly click on the English site option.
Anyway.... yeah. I got it to work.

It's been a few days now and no luck, taking it apart today and reinstalling intrusive windows 10, I'm hoping it's not an issue with the gpu itself as it's not that old. Take care bud

I did the 2nd solution ( uninstall/ reinstall the driver) well it work until i turn off the laptop and turn it on again. So basically it work for one day. After the 3rd time i turn on my laptop it cannot detect the gpu on my monitor. I can launch the geforce experience app but i cannot launch the geforce control panel app.
In the device manager it say that the gpu is working fine. When i right click my monitor, it doesn't show my gpu control panel, only show the intel graphic control. When i try to launch the nvidia/ geforce control panel app it say the monitor did not detect my gpu.

Im stuck on the splash screen and the computer doesn't detect an input from my keyboard or mouse. I've tried everything from uninstalling my nvidia drivers to resseting the bios, updating the bois, and clearing the cmos, i've switched power supplies and tried individual ram sticks, the fans spin up and the pc powers on but stuck on splash screen. my gtx 1050 runs like a charm in both pcs while the r9 only works with the i7

Next time try using DDU to uninstall the AMD driver before putting the Nvidia card in. Windows defaults to the "basic display driver" when there's a GPU installed but Windows cant immediately identify it windows will most likely (if connected to the internet) try to install a really old driver version of the GPU you have installed, it can't always properly do this if there's a conflicting driver already installed. so you should try to remove your old drivers when swapping GPU's this isn't usually an issue, but can happen.
