  • Man City's 115 charges are well documented. They have been covered by everyone, but many of the major outlets have steered clear of discussing them all season, until yesterday. Why?
    We look at where the reports have come from and what has caused the surge in reporting after Jurgen Klopp said it tarnishes their legacy, and why these have all cropped up now following the announcement that Richard Master would attend Arsenal vs Everton rather than City vs West Ham.
    City's 115 charges from the Premier League aren't new. They've been going on for years, but Richard Keys, Jamie Carragher, Paul Merson and the Athletic have all published pieces in a 24 hour period.

    The premier league really needs to be carefull what it wishs for, the EPL success story is entwined with Man City they are a massive part of the reason the prem is viewed as the best in the world.
    Trying to say City are responsible for fixing the prices in the prem is ludicrous, City are known for putting a value on players, having a ceiling, and not going past that, Maguire being a prime example. Rice (shock horror an Arsenal player) being another example, City do not let themselves be rolled over in the transfer market. You even mention Newcastle, come on man, UEFA have caused this restricted practice, they didnt like the new boys coming in i.e. Chelsea, City and PSG so closed the door so no more sugar daddies can turn up, by linking everything to turnover the gate is effectively closed so any rich person now coming into football wanting to invest in a club are pretty much prevented from doing so. Jack Walker won the prem with Blackburn, that scenario is now impossible all down to Uefa restricted practice. Would anyone begrudge Rovers their moment? Until these practices are ended all the leagues in Europe are now largely set in stone with no chance for new blood. This is glaringly obviously protecting the old guard against the young bucks and if you cant see that you are deluded. This whole mess is a product of restricted practice and a fiercely ambitious football club trying their damdest to push the boundaries just like any other business thats trying to get a foothold, dont forget City had to come from a long way back to catch the top teams so inevitable they had to spend, you are virtually saying they should have not been allowed to do this (old guard elitism?)
    Dont forget Arsenal threw the league title away, they had one hand on it but against Villa they just simply didnt turn up, if i were an Arsenal fan that game would have made me furious.
    Liverpool and Utd spent years at the top, buying all the best players with no FFP or profit and sustainability anywhere to be seen, your video really is coming across as sour grapes, clutching at any reason Arsenal came up short, they came up short over 38 games because they were not good enough. Trying to claim otherwise and clutching at these 115 charges as a reason for Arsenals failure is ridiculous.

      when the owners brought city they had about 2-3million fans Man Utd had anywhere between 200-300m fans world wide, why would companies pay man city the same amount in sponsorships etc. makes no sense, unless they were financing the companies to pay these high deals to the club. they are obviously guilty but I doubt anything will be proven.

    I shall try here to reply to your reply to my comment, since previous attempts to reply have mysteriously disappeared, the second attempt half way through. So in summary, I read the CAS report in full when it came out. Why Arsenal fans are reading the full judgement, I don't know. Your reply to me is pure sophistry. You say that the 115 charges are why City have managed to get here, and that Liverpool were robbed of so much off the back of this. If that does not mean that you are suggesting City's guilt, I don't know what does. The CAS report, para C343 cleared City of all matters which were in time from 2013 to 2018 as did the banner headline of the report which you appear strangely, to have missed.. They involve ADUG and HHSM sponsorships. Etisalat was time barred. Their paltry 10 million fine, which you initially said was 26 mill, was for non cooperation, not financial cheating. You have been economical with the truth in quoting the time barring but not the outcome of the matters within time. This is a naked, poorly disguised attempt to slur City for matters of which they have not been convicted.

    • @Arsenaltherapy
      @Arsenaltherapy  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Please note, your comments are not being removed. We encourage all commenters whether they agree or disagree, and appreciate your response here.
      The figure quoted for fine was in fact £10m as you said, however the other points still stand. City have been told on multiple occasions they must comply with the rules and have failed to do so, which is why many of the charges are for a failure to cooperate. Throughout the video, the key point we come back to is transparency.

      A lot record transfers at the time. Don't give me that crap Liverpool couldn't spend as much as city, not having it.
      Klopp spent 804m. Pep 950m.

    The 115 charges are the only weapon available to rival fans. The only charges which may have given City an advantage are the sponsorship matters. Those have already been decided as legitimate by CAS. Time barring had nothing to do with the 5 years which were litigated.The PL are trying to relitigate them. The other charges amount to one million here and one million there-to Mancni and Toure etc. Those do not even make a dent in the two billion spent by City and give no advantage. The fine by CAS were simply for non cooperation and had no bearing on spending. I think your basic premise is incorrect. As things stand, City have not benefitted by false sponsorship. The charges are unproven and you are sailing close to the wire and to City's lawyers by accepting them as proven. I think City would only hold their hands up to non cooperation as they did at CAS.

      If City are innocent, then why are they uncooperative in providing information?

    • @Arsenaltherapy
      @Arsenaltherapy  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      At no point have we accused City of being guilty. We are giving commentary on the reports out there, and we have talked about the concealment of information. It was worth reading the outcome on the overturned ban, and also noting that City were still fined £10m, but this statement stands out:
      "The Cas panel of three European lawyers decided by a majority 2-1, however, that it would not consider the legitimacy of those Etisalat payments, because they were made more than five years before the CFCB charges were brought in May 2019, so were “time-barred”."
      You can read the full report here.

      @@Arsenaltherapy. Thank you for the reply. Your plea that you were only reiterating press and media coverage is pure sophistry and this video is nothing other than an attempted demolition of the club. I had hoped initially from your heading that it was no coincidence that all these stories should come out right now when City are on the brink of a 4th title. But no. Why not next week or next month?
      Your claim that is that you are not accusing City of being guilty. And yet you state that the 115 charges are "why City have managed too get here" and "that Liverpool were robbed of so much off the back of this" If that is not suggesting forcefully that City are guilty, then we are not speaking the same language. Your contentions in relation to the CAS case tell the truth but not the whole truth. You have cherry picked the time barred charges and failed to mention that 5 years of charges from 2013 to 2018 were in time and adjudicated by CAS. C343 " the Panel is not comfortably satisfied that MCFC disguised equity funding from HHSM and ADUG as sponsorship contributions" Manchester City were heavily fined by CAS and during that time were able to build a team that won the CL- your statement. I read the CAS judgement as soon as it came out, all 92 pages, but why you, as an Arsenal supporter have done so is disturbing and illuminating. There is no doubt from the evidence of your own statements that you accuse City of guilt. Shall we wait for the hearing before rushing to judgement?

    I thank you for making this video, it is exhausting touching this issue with fans from other clubs because of tribalism, but people need to understand is that we all need to take care of the sport we love because it is on its way of being taken out of the people's hands. This is not about Man City per se, this is about sporting integrity and how the leagues deal with shady owners trying to cheat. I believe the PL has learned a thing or two about the Chelsea/Russia debacle and how it ultimately played out. City should be expelled from the league because they have not made this as "mistakes" or missmanagement, they have intentionally cheated and worked their arses off to not get caught. It is truly one of if not the most biggest scandals in recent times.

    • @Arsenaltherapy
      @Arsenaltherapy  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The key thing is the lack of transparency, which every club is obliged to follow by Premier League and UEFA rules. By refusing to coorporate, we don't actually know the ins and outs of what City have done, but what we do know is that they have been to court multiple times and been told that they must comply, which they continually fail to do. As you've said, it is a matter of sporting integrity.

PL brought charges against MC and it’s their to proof if MC is guilty or not . City don’t need to provide any evidence. They would be found guilty not providing evidence at best.
