In most cases I really DON’T like how Nintendo treats fan works, but at the same time the Smash Bros community has a systemic issue with pdfiles. We’ve all heard the horror stories where they’ll get caught with kids.

i'm very inclined to believe he just made it up entirely. He didn't go into details and I'm just tempted to assume he looked at the steam storefront page on his web browser and tries to sound convincing. Those games are a few years old too, if he wanted to give himself credibility he would have gone for newer titles that are really unique to PC, at least.
Tales of Arise and Doom Eternal, a quick web search indicates they have Switch ports, so my assumption is that he thought of non-Nintendo Switch games he knows of, checked if they existed on Steam to avoid being proven wrong, and called it a day.

Well it hurts me seeing Tears Of the Kingdom losing game of the year but also happy due to the fact that this will push Nintendo and other game companies to push boundaries and creativity when it comes to development.
The future will be interesting and I am truly looking forward to it. That guy better be greatful that the Switch is the one of best selling consoles of all time. Back in the Wii U/3DS era all game trailers were for PC/PS4 and Xbox One while the Will U had nothing in the 3ds party side of things.

Quick reminder: this is the same guy who said he bought DOOM Eternal on Steam, and he "kinda" regretted not buying on Switch, because he was sure it ran better there. We still don't know his "gaming PC" components but, in my opinion, making one or two things up is something he's willing to do to make the Switch look better than PC, specially now that the Steam Deck is a thing.

@wahtari3953 to be fair that game is pretty mediocre at best. I am currently trying to play through the game and it is very boring. The story is garbage and the action is below average. If it wasn't for the goofy little robot NPCs then I would have have stopped playing a while ago

@@joshdangit1612 Tbf, as much as I loved Nier automata, it is pretty mid in the grand scheme of things. I barely remember the story, it was fairly forgettable. Though, the characters, bossfights, and progression systems more than made up for it. And the stunning art direction.

If anyone went to the Nintendo store, you would see 95% of the shovel-ware all ported from steam! 4% of third party triple A games that run at best 28 fps and at minimum at 19 fps! Steam TOTALLY doesn’t have Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Elden Ring, Dragons Dogma 2, Vermintide 2, Warframe, Final Fantasy 14, Witcher 3, Darks Souls 1-3, Sekiro, Warhammer Darktide, and so much more. Steam has non of those games.

That's legitimately one of the more controversial games in the Tales franchise due to what it threw out due to them bringing in a new director. Meanwhile you have Berseria, Vesperia, and Symphonia all available on Steam.

I’m mostly a console gamer… just built a top of the line pc though, and the only things I’ve used it for is to emulate n64, GameCube and Xbox 360 games… all my new games get played on my ps5 or series X.

Nintendo is eventually going to start porting their exclusives to PC. All it takes is a repeat of the Wii U and Nintendo will have no choice at that point. It's easy money I don't see any reason why they wouldn't want easy money. Smash Ultimate on the PC with crossplay with the Switch version would be dope... at least until I remember that Smash has 13 frames of input delay even on a perfect connection.

The gaming PC helps me avoid hardware I don’t want to support… the hardware these companies lose money on just to sell the games… the games you still buy without them losing money on the hardware… okay.
I remember when my friends, a couple, bought gaming PCs which I built for them, I gifted both of them Left 4 Dead 2 for like 2€ and we played the shit out of it. It was an amazing weekend.

I'm mainly on console (hope to get a rig later), but I'll occasionally play on my notebook. Even just on that, I have ALOT to play. Battlebit, FTL, Dusk, Quake 2, & Vampire Survivor come to mind.
PC/Steam Deck can emulate ALL versions of Soul Calibur II (PS2/GC/XBOX) and with the XBOX Original version you can mod it and create custom costumes and stages and play it in 4K with all the guest characters.
As someone who plays a lot of tycoon games, strategy games, and city builders I can’t imagine a worse platform for that than Nintendo Switch. And I like my Switch. Great for long train trips or killing time when taking my dad to a doctor appointment. But at home the stuff I like to play either aren’t on console or my mod heavy games can’t be done on consoles. And that’s fine.
of course there is nothing to play on steam, if you have nothing in your bank account and not enough intelligence to look at the free to play category

You know the funny part about this? I'm playing Ocarina of Time on my Steam Deck with anti-aliasing and an unlocked frame rate. It's awesome. I can't wait for the Majora's Mask PC port since that got decompiled last year.
