To be fair. Doom Eternal running on the switch is a techinical master piece for the switch. Good for the switch, but not going to lie that the steam deck still wiped the floor with that game.
The Switch made more sense, when it first came out. Close enough to the Ps4 that it could get competent ports. When the Ps5/Series X came out, it kinda lost that, making it so that it almost gets no ports outside of devs being so dedicated (Hogwarts Legacy) and the Steam Deck was the nail in the coffin, since it does what the Switch does but so much better. This video is even funnier now. Everybody knows, Steam Deck make the best games. That shit is ABAP.
My favourite game developer is Steam Deck.
You need to pay your cat tax.
Can't we just laugh at them for comparing a 300 dollar device vs a 600 dollar device? 😂
SD was $400 for the base model
(Now it's $350 for the base model with bigger storage)
What the gamecube doesnt hold up with ps2 and 360
Alright new joe video 🎉 🎉🎉, they still make physical pc games? Can I get Elden ring physically on pc ?
No. Honestly, as someone who loves PC gaming, physical PC games are all but dead. Technically yes you can go buy physical PC games at Best Buy or whatever, but they're just steam keys in DVD cases. The age of physical PC games is long over and Joe just needs to accept that.
@@ericbazinga ok digital fanboy.
@@gondorianslayer4250 get with the current decade ya r-tard
Honestly agree with you guys at this point. As someone who plays mostly older games, the stuff on my radar have physical PC options but I'm definitely guilty of letting that make me think the modern physical PC market is comparable. Physical PC gaming is pretty much dead, yeah. I'm taking the L on this one @ericbazinga
@@JoeFromSeattle The joe I know never takes any L’s just for that take this L’s then burn it and take this W buddy cause your #1 😉
There are literally asset filps on the switch so that stuff about quality control is a straight up lie
Switch has x and y (not a pun for the pokemon games i swear) but the steam deck can do lots more and it doesn't hold your hand plus isn't a lag fest on certain games being cloud versions which are anti consumer.
Sure they didn't mention emulation on purpose can imagine their views on emulation...... oh god please WM do a video so joefromseattle can make a video!
i saw his video, what a mess.
he created categories out of his ass , specifically designed to make switch looks good, and even with those categories he had to cheat and use a lot of bullshit excuses to make switch win.
i bet in his other comparissions he use different categories, its a pointless review, there are too many things to comment about each device like the repair/lack of repair issue, that anyone can make any device look good.
anyway, steam deck is better i have no doubt about it, the only thing positive we can say about switch is their exclusives, but even those, i dont think making something exclusive is a good thing, and valve is proving its not nescessary, not to mention we can emulate some of those games, so the last thing in favor of nintendo is, at least they still make games unlike valve but that is a small issue, because steam deck have so many thirdy party games that nintendo games arent going to compensate.
i personally would hope nintendo take notes from what valve did with the steam deck where they sell good hardware.
Dude really wanted a Switch for Christmas and got dumped by his GF instead 😂
I've known the steam deck to only list the game is playable because you have to Force the keyboard to open the first time you set it up. The standards for a game being listed as verified are incredibly strict.
Yep. Playable is just that, playable. Even with alot of unsopported games the only reason they don't work is because of the anticheat. Verified, playable and unknwon games almost certainly run on steam deck and you can in theory play every game if you install windows on the device. So at worst you could still play all the games using windows. Which makes this seem even more like watch mojo just tried to dick ride nintendo here
@@hypocrite7433 Yeah i game on Linux and game not working on anything else than M$ is a choice by the developer.
I don't care about PVP games and they have the worst anticheats usually, i wouldn't install them on a Winblows PC because 0-ring root access to do whatever it wants. Crowdstrike fiasco is a good example of "security" that was made by slugs.
I have enough games that run even better on Linux, if a developer doesn't care, neither do i. :D
2:20 SwitchDeck
Since America has the worst internet service in the western world, digital will always be a no for me. And not forgetting that im not fucking my data cap on games. It takes me 4 days to download a 80gig game at 111kbps on its best day
So the real wins are … specs - steam deck …. Online - steam deck ( avoiding something don’t make you good at it) ….. price - steam deck ….. games - steam deck (it can play new aaa titles at respectable settings plus emulate most Nintendo games) …. portability - switch (it’s smaller) winner - steam deck because I don’t need chock on a Nintendo shlong
Not really. Nintendo not giving you guys the number one spot. So you can kill gaming faster.
@@gondorianslayer4250 is this a dig at piracy or emulation because the pre owned gaming market has always taken far more from the developers pockets than both the only thing killing gaming is games as a service games and loot boxes
How is steam deck better for price? A switch is minimum 200$ brand new for a lite.
@@rallyrandy69 2 reasons price to performance and the price of pc games it’s better value overall and the lite is exactly that a cheaper model with less features you can game on it but it’s not really in the same category as a steam deck or the normal switch for that matter so there’s exactly £50 difference in price now and I’m sorry but by time you get a few games you probably already saved money over the switch
Bigger Screen on Deck,Two Bluetooth full Size controllers and BOOM!!! Multiplayer Deck🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm depressed
So according to WatchMojo the best online console is the Atari 2600.
People are allowed to like Nintendo.
Yeah. People love their abusers all the time. Doesn't make it any less tragic though...
That's fine, people can like what they want. All we ask is dont bullshit about it
I like how pc gamers always complain about consoles. Like dude just play games.
Debunking console peasant bullshit is not complaining about consoles which are bad by the way.
@@durshurrikun150 Nobody cares

There are PC fanboys as well
@@utsavpradhan2754 You clearly care, since you're here, peasant.
And I believe by PC fanboys you mean normal people.
@@durshurrikun150 lol so toxic fanboys exist here too huh
@@utsavpradhan2754 Indeed, they exist, especially on playstation.
Witcher 3 switch is lock at 25fps Unless!! You mod your switch and mod the Witcher 3 system file to unlock it to 30 However you can do nothing about the muddy texture🤣🤣🤣....or just play it in Steam Deck 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is it even worth to mod a switch just to get 5 more fps?
@@durshurrikun150 The things people would do for 5 more extra frames 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You guys dont get what exclusive means. The games you can play on steam deck are also available on pc (higher performance and graphics). Meanwhile switch games are only available on switch. All games on switch work fine but you cant pretend to run high performance games on that steam deck lmao
All games on switch......alsoo run on the deck ffs. Jesus
And they run much better too
alsoo? Got any proof to back up that bold claim
@@roymustang87 Yeah, do a simple TH-cam search bro. Any switch game you want emulated on steam deck. Didn't you hear the video say that Hyrule, age of calamity drops to 9 frames??? On the switch?? Geez
Uh dude, the Steam Deck IS a PC, a $400 PC that can run PS4 generation games on the go
I honestly dont get the point of a steam deck. Its a pc with lower performance to play games that you can also play on pc. Like at least if i get the switch i play games that i couldnt play other way
Yes, cause everyone can carry their massive setup everywhere they go. Whats the need for a portable pc when you can do that? Ignore the fact that it's also the most powerful hand held to price ratio out rn.
But hey, switch got zelda so GG yeah? Smh
You can play Switch games on a Steam Deck. There is your other way.
Yes, indeed, you are not very bright.
Open your ears and activate your brain: the steam deck is a portable PC, of course it has lower performance.
And no, all switch games are available on PC through emulation.
@@sentrycod2373 Ironically enough switch games can be played on the steam deck and the peasants have been coping hard about that.
Erm, for handheld gaming? Which is the main point of also the switch ? Dude, do you think before commenting?
how is the steam decks settings limited to a PCs as its just a PC and runs the same games with the same setting?
Yeah my wording kinda sucked there, I moreso meant that as a technical limitation more than an actual customization limitation. If I recorded this again I would have said something more along the lines of "you won't notice/be able to appreciate game settings on the Steam Deck compared to a full PC simply because of the hardware limitations but that's still way better than what the Switch offers"
Mojo are decent , just dont have a personal flair to their channel thats what happens when channels become corporations mate. I still watch them sometimes some people complain too damn much
No they're complete ass lol
ayy i watched their vid a bit ago and couldnt stop laughing when they said SD has worse online cuz it diesnt offer as much bonus stuff as the switch. like yeah oh no the free wifi diesnt come with official nintendo online emulators and runs better without costing money and having better friend list management plus a friends chat system and game invite
