    for anyone watching this, it takes 30 seconds to pop the grill off, clips hold it in. The chrome piece and nissan logo can also be unclipped in another 5 seconds from the black mesh piece.

    Looks good. Hell maybe you didn't wanna pop the grill off. But you got patience with the paint. Most people would have tried to do that in one coat. Lol. Great job

    why in the world would you not just pop the grill off? You made this way too much work for yourself...

    I dug the video. I did the same, taking the grill wouldve been easier but at the time I didnt know how to. From my experience the more coats the better coverage and easier to peel off when you want to do so. Great music btw. Anyone know who is the artist?

      @@kingrodriguez5207 well.. if you guys noticed he didn't really do actual "coats", he did "partial coats".

    Ok so leave like a Square around it so you have an easier way to peel rather there trying to peel off smaller pieces of the dip? Am I getting this right?

      amzn.to/2KvGoQg for the black
      amzn.to/2Mz1HBl for the clear coat
      You'll probably need 4 cans + 1 or 2 of clear

    Why deal with overspray on the truck? It takes like 2 minutes to remove it...

    • @tonymunford5804
      @tonymunford5804 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All vehicles are different some you can't take off easy.

  • @danielkapp9468
    @danielkapp9468 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Man that's a lot of extra work and a high risk for over spray for something that takes less than five minutes to pop off to paint.
    Just FYI for anyone that doesn't know the only tool you need is a slotted/flathead screwdriver, there are six push pins on top(just lift up with the screwdriver), and then simple lift tabs (or sometimes there are also plastic square head screws seen from the front of the grill) that need the screwdriver to be rotated to allow the grill to slide out.

    • @TylerMonagan
      @TylerMonagan  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +obrien184 just make sure you leave a little edge don't try to line up the tape perfect. The last dip will peel right off the edge and make a cleaner edge. other than that its really easy.

    Plasti Dip doesn't last. Why is it that no one post vids of how long it last. That's because it last like shit. Especially on the front end of a vehicle. Be there done that. Waste of money and time. Looks good thought right after you do it.

      Just careful when washing car. It's designed so you can peel it off if you don't like it.
      I've used this on three cars now without problems apart from door handle cause my key catches it.

      That is the texture, it's like a rubber it becomes smooth by the end.
      Do it all the time.
