Always on the grind love what you've done with the industry. Fonzie and dyc you guys we're my inspiration to get into removable coatings! Keep up the awesome work!
I tried doing it this way my first time dipping, it didn't work too well. It left a lot of adhesive from the tape all over the mirrors, which you can clean but you risk rubbing the dip off with it where it's so close. It's so much of a better result just removing the mirror caps if you can. You may need a heat gun to remove them, but at least you don't have to tape anything off and once it dries you just pop the cap back on
I really want to see a blooper video of everytime he messes up because surely he has messed up before I think that would be great and would be a great way to show people what to do if they do mess up (such as my shorts hit the wet fender while I was doing the hood)
I've just been doing my door handles for a little bit of flair. Would love to see how you cover the whole piece because the back of the handles is always veeeeery thin and gives me problems.
Hey Fonzie.....what about when you want to make a stripe????you must not wait until the dip dries....ain't that right???you must remove gently the tape while the dip is still wet or else it will be peeled off with the tape.....isn't that right?????😃😃
Nice video ! But there is something I don't get. Do you put the tape, like inside between the glossy cover and matte plastic or you just keep it on surface on the matte plastic ? Thanks
Quick question, i plasti dipped my audi emblems , but i want to plastidip my whole car a different colour too , will that be difficult to work around or is there a simple way to go about this? Can i put tape on already dried plastidip and and peel it off without taking the plastic?? Thanks
heyy! i'm new here, very cool stuff you do! can i ask, do you know how can I make a Trans am 1977 eagle logo with that plasti dip? i want that on my car, a smaller one of course
This is nice, but what about for mirrors that are one piece? Getting in between the mirror and the door as well as underneath without build up? Some mirrors even have a piece that is attached to the door.
I remove the material around each coat.. not worth breaking it which happend to me before and ruins whole project. Just remove it when its thin to break and then put back.
That'll take more than time the prepping process lol. You're hardheaded, just stop. Also, if the car is already dipped, you cant dip dissolve the overspray off without damaging the dip.
rokkero564 not everybody is capable of removing a cap without damaging or scratching it. The whole point of Plasti Dip is that anyone can do it at home.
Jamine Tetteh-Jones why would scratching it matter if you’re going to plasti dio it? I’m sure anyone can remove a mirror safely at home. Lmao. If you can’t remove a cap then you shouldn’t be using plasti dip either.
Some mirror caps don’t just snap off or on. More to it then just that. Also if you take some off on certain cars, than paint and let dry than when it comes time to put back on you could scratch, fingerprints or damage the new paint because you have to push, tug etc to get a lost of them back on!
Door handles next!!! Please ❤️
100% this
and masking convertibles, there are ALOT of miata owners out there
Pretty much the same idea but yes, I'd like to see it too.
Yes i have done my door trim and want to do my handles and gas tank lid..

Not to mention the materials you save not taping it off

You make it look so darn easy
It has been used several times and loved.

Buy some clear 3m vinyl and cut it into the shape of the back of the handle. It doesn't have to be perfect, just cover the majority of the back.
that loos amazing...great video! Thanks for keeping it on target...
She's my ignorance but what exactly do you mean by wet coats once you've done the first 50% coat?
Marvelous
Was thinking about it, but now I'll do it.
Can it be removed if needed?

Hey Fonzie ,
Why did you remove the 3d car feature which allows you to see the dip on your car before you buy on your website.
Prob cus it wouldn't 100% reflect what the car would look like and thus people complain.
Hello! great video thanks! just wondering - how long do you leave between each of the top coats before the next? Thanks! :)
Nice video ! But there is something I don't get. Do you put the tape, like inside between the glossy cover and matte plastic or you just keep it on surface on the matte plastic ? Thanks

Did he tape of the glass on the mirror? Or is that unnecessary
Does this hold on a car wash ??
Sweet! Thanks Fonsi!
You're welcome!
hello I wanted to know if it supports the car wash
at high pressure
So no sanding necessary?
This is nice, but what about for mirrors that are one piece? Getting in between the mirror and the door as well as underneath without build up? Some mirrors even have a piece that is attached to the door.
Take it off completely or spray what you can see the best you can, nobody gonna peak in between the cracks lol
@@Bullitt1768 but I'll know it's there. And a full removal of side mirror sucks lol
Can I use the normal clear coat on plasti dip to make object more shiny?
What is the yellow tape called!
Do door handles next!
Great video keep it up
Thanks for watching!
Fonz will you dip my Audi a3 lol, I wanna do it, but I dont know how to tape it off around the windows without the silver trim.
What i.d the pre-dip spray? Is it something I make or buy?
You can buy it but I think 50/50 soap water is good enough
How that work with lots of bugs... does it chip?

My mirrors catch hell from bugs on my SUV
Looks way smoother than when I did my grill. I think my coats need to be wetter smh
bonjour je voulais savoir si sa supporte le lavage auto

Super wrap literally looks like paint. This looks like crayon
Apex Legends Highlights this is also a fraction of the cost too sooooo
Looks super dull
Mine just popped off pretty easily
Some people's do - but not everyone is comfortable removing trim pieces. It's all personal preference
SUBARU, DO MORE VEIDOS WITH SUBARU'S 😘😂☺
I used yellow and it did not work went all blotchy 😔
i like this music
Any idea how to plastidip a wing mirror with indicators in them 🤔 lol
Mirrors with indicators
you got a lot of overspray on the plastic frame of the mirror
Ok
Why not remove the mirror cap?
Did you not watch the video???
Do trunk

Door handles?
What kind of door handles??
So whole car covered to plastidip the mirror cover
Overspray. 90 percent of painting is prep.
@@1337Kritsada this is plastidip its rubber can be peeled easily only around mirror and door is enough
Overspray is overspray. The concept is the same as paint. You cant peel overspray.

Wouldn’t it be easier and smarter to just take the mirror off and probably the cap too? And to think these guys are “professionals”... LOL. 🤦🏻♂️

Soo much unnecessary work
Just remove the cover and paint in comfortable place 🙂
