The 2 I listen to religiously are "Welcome to Night Vale" (basically if someone built a Sim World based on Steven King meets Twin Peaks and had a radio announcer commentate on the whole thing) and "No Such Thing as a Fish" (a fact show where the 4 researchers each bring a fact and have a conversation and it's just really interesting with useless knowledge)
Night Vale is mad and no such thing as a fish is so interesting I learn so much stuff and I like how the elaborate on the fact not just say it and then you have research it
That’s cus it’s okay at best and over mentioned. It’s not the only podcast out there and anyone who actually listens to lots of podcasts knows there’s better out there.
While it is popular and I enjoy it myself, it's more of just a sit down and talk/interview. Most (not all) of the podcasts on this list have amazing production value going into them which make them standout more and separate themselves from something that is more casual. Not that it's a bad thing on Joe's end. I think it works great with him and the sit down and converse with a person format suits him as a person since he does (memes aside) think critically and has great input on various topics.

My favorite storytelling podcast is called The two princes. It is a story about two princes that go on quests and fall in love etc it's amazing and I started to watch it today and have already binge listened to the entire series

@@ConnorBryce I really enjoyed the first season of Serial but haven't listened to any subsequent seasons. I've heard they go downhill after the first season but I don't know that for a fact. I do like Gretchen Rubin's podcast but it can be a bit saccharine. If overly sweet doesn't bother you, this is a nice podcast. Gretchen also has a self-help book series, the first of which is The Happiness Project, and an accompanying blog, both of which I have found helpful. However, do keep keep in mind that Gretchen is coming from a place of privelege so not everything she says will hit right. Archive 81 is an excellent fictional drama which was recently filmed as a series on Netflix, altho sadly it was cancelled after only one superb season. I highly recommend the podcast AND the show.
I am surprised that no one mentions “Shit Town” from the creators of Serial. It’s simply amazing . If you are reading this comment and you like a good story , do your self a favor and download it. Another excellent podcast is “Lost in the West” if you like history and Byzantium. He narrates like seeing a movie . Fantastic

In 2019 Joe Rogan was the top podcast in the world, and still is. Several actors, comedians, artists, novelists, scientists, talk show hosts....all had podcasts. So WTF is up with this list? Margie Medina I get that, it’s hard to get into at first. Try to stick in there though, the hosts have great stances on mental health and for me the talking at the beginning is therapeutic. Plus you can’t beat the amazing community. 😉
