I'm not sure if this helps, but I've found releasing shorter episodes (20-30 minutes max) has brought me more listeners. People only have so much time in the day and a two-hour podcast will be very off-putting. A shorter one means a better chance of consumption.
This is true, when I consider listening to a new podcast, is if it's more than an hr, I probably pass. However it also depends on what kind of podcast, if it's deep conversation, an hr is the sweet spot for me.

I have started a channel, mostly for highly sensitive, spiritual audience where I interview people I find inspiring. I am not consistent so a huge learning here and it is sometimes in Polish and sometimes in English which probably does not help. Thanks a lot for your advice. ❤

Nice video Pat! As a podcast consultant and mastermind leader, going too broad is so common. I've fallen into this trap as well. It's my greatest struggle pulling people through the fog into clarity on their niche.
Pat, I really enjoyed this video. I am waiting on some equipment to get here so I can start my Podcast. I am deciding to do it with a co-worker I have known for years and he has helped me in so many ways with work on the emotional level. I have looked at a few free editing sites and I am in the IT industry as well. I have looked at Riverside to start as we live a few hours away., the remote option looks good. I will review some more of your videos. Just want to verify title. Should it be short enough for thumbnail on phones or do you have a recommendation on this. Again, thank you for your guidance.
I've been struggling with a similar issue (not related to gaming but still worrying about being too broad). Here's what I've decided: No one is better at being you than you are. If you play games but also sometimes talk about baseball or cooking, that's still who you are. A one-trick pony is boring after a while but one that can do multiple things still serves a use. A broad podcast might not blow up overnight, but then again, neither did Rogan. While a lot of tips out there are great for success, they don't always apply to everyone. I think the tides are shifting and shows like what you are describing will be what people want more of in the coming years. There is a noticeable upshift in soulless AI generated garbage and the backlash from that will benefit those who stayed true to themselves. I'd rather watch a random human whose discussion I'm not even interested in (at first), than watch an AI video about a topic I do like, if that makes sense.
I'm not sure if this helps, but I've found releasing shorter episodes (20-30 minutes max) has brought me more listeners. People only have so much time in the day and a two-hour podcast will be very off-putting. A shorter one means a better chance of consumption.

I have a channel rather than a podcast but this was still totally applicable. Great video! Thanks
it is totally true.
Great tips. I will be going live with my podcast on 1/31/22
Great content. Sharp video and audio. What hardware (camera, mic, lighting etc) and software do you use to get this amazing end product? Total beginner here so I know there’s a lot of learning to be done in achieving this quality.
Outstanding words of encouragement, thank you!!
Pat Flynn!! With a grey beard. Wow time has indeed past. Although in all this time Pat's content has been constant, reliable, useful. Bravo sir.
LOL I remember it as "If you build it, they will come." I'm sticking to it!
I just published my 1st episode I listened to most of it and have already decided to write myself notes and questions to ask listeners, and sum more narrative, I realized my episode was erratic and rushed I'm hoping the in fo
rmation and personal experience carries listeners to the next episode
Bumped into your channel! Literally need this! I’m just about to record my very first podcast to continue to build my mission which I’ve already started in my TH-cam channel which is to give educational content
Im rebooting my podcast and I knew exactly why it didn’t work the first time. The sad part I gave up because I did t want an employer to find out about my life. I stopped at 1.15 in 2021 and opened and had 2.12 recently now something tells me to keep moving forward
Thanks for this Pat!!! This is so incredibly helpful.
it is very useful.
Really great advice, and about to start a podcast of my own. Really appreciate this.
found you from video creators ... new subscriber here.
I have started a channel, mostly for highly sensitive, spiritual audience where I interview people I find inspiring. I am not consistent so a huge learning here and it is sometimes in Polish and sometimes in English which probably does not help. Thanks a lot for your advice. ❤
I didn't know you had another channel Patt !!! Just subscribed!!!
Haya guys jc here from SA love your tips and vids starting my own podcast soon hopefully with this tips ill go big
Hi Host..I would like to start podcasting..but I'm hesitating to start as I don't know really how to start it..I'm always listening to Your Vlogs..❤
Thank you so much!!! for this information so much! I just started a podcast One Mic Trio and we are trying really hard to push it so these videos really help!
Thank you. My overall topic is narrow, but I see I have laid out a big series. So some refinement is needed. Great tips Pat.
Been watching and learning a lot from you. Thank you very much.
P.S. - Your Star Wars stuff ROCK!!!
Thanks for your content Pat! I started my pod 10 years ago and l used your startup guide to do it. I run a succcessful agency because of my pod adn I have the #1 veterinary marketing podcast in the world now :D there are only a few veterinary marketing podcasts lol
Excited to get started!!!
Thanks for this!
I really appreciate your content. I have an idea for a video cast as a new hobby of mine and your info is truly helpful.
Love this, Pat. Definitely guilty of a couple of these :P But like you said, these things don't have to stop us. Everyone has an audience somewhere!
This is what i needed this morning. I subscribe !

Thank you for the info and inspo Pat 🙌🏽
I just started a podcast and I am thankful for any tips ❤
Nice video Pat! As a podcast consultant and mastermind leader, going too broad is so common. I've fallen into this trap as well. It's my greatest struggle pulling people through the fog into clarity on their niche.
This was helpful. I’m getting ready to start a podcast and trying to learn all I can.
My podcast is mainly gaming but will still get into other topics at times, is that too broad?
Great advice! Well done. Thanks so much!
Thank you for the advice sir!
Very informative! Im about to start too soon !
Thanks so much for the information and keeping it real.
This was a great list and I really needed to hear all this. Thank you!
Best YT on Podcasts I have seen, yet!
