Somehow, this player made it to Larsa, but does not seem to understand the concept that every life has 3 bombs.
Fun fact: Mushihimesama Futari has a special soundtrack just full of remixes by other composers. The track for this stage, "On the Verge of Madness," was remixed by Kota Hoshino, a composer at Fromsoftware. A legendary TH-cam video about a difficult boss and a legendary company about difficult games. Funny how that works, huh?

A fun fact about this game's final boss battle: The game actually lags from the sheer amount of bullets on the screen. The bullets are actually meant to move faster than they are. Try imagining the difficulty if the game could handle it without lagging so much. O_O
I know this is 11 years ago but the lag is *intentional.* it would be be practically impossible to win without credit feeding if there was no slowdown.
This makes Omega Flowey look like a tutorial enemy.

I've played Touhou 7 on easy mode for a while now (haven't 1CCed yet, I suck) and some rRootage, I've also tried the lunatic mode on Touhou 7 for shits and giggles... I suck as a player, but I do know enough about bullet patterns to understand how they work.
With that said...
... I shudder at the evil, awesome genius behind this.
These are not random sprays. These are insanely creative patterns _logically designed_ to kill you. A Touhou bullet pattern tends to be more like a maze that you navigate through. This is a maze that actively tries to wall you in.
Just look at the brutal, cruel effectiveness of 1:37-1:41. It starts with a grid that shrinks your living space to a minimum... AND THEN IT *CARRIES* YOU *STRAIGHT INTO A BULLET.*
And yes, I've seen such things in Touhou/rRootage... but wow. Just fucking wow. This is on another level of cruel genius altogether. Whoever created this is a true artist.

don't compare this to any touhou on easy mode, theres like half the spellcards removed or toned down to 20% of what it is on normal. and the rest is toned down to 30% of normal mode.
go look at lunatic or extra mode if you want to compare touhou to any bullet hell who are shown at max difficulty(this vid)
ps. balanced gameplay without bomb spamming at a solid 60fps is more fun IMO
+vanishy0urself Try touhou8:IN, the difficulty ramps better for beginners than TH7. Also if you manage to 1cc on normal, you'll see the last boss and its patterns aren't that different from this.

dylan masikat Or Zero times if you are an expert, this game is about pattern memorization well all Bullet Hell games are about Pattern Memorization, but if you focus on your hit box you can beat this game without dying.
And also i say the final boss in Mushihimesama is harder then the final boss in this game because the whole screen goes purple with Bullets everywhere, but you must play the hardest difficulty to go against the Final Boss.

And again they may share the name to an extent but this game is not Mushihimesama this game (referring to the one shown in the video) is Mushihimesama Futari, when translated to English it would mean Bug Princess 2 or Bug Princess Duo if you want to be literal and yes Futari by itself would mean two people.
Hime-sama of course means Princess the Sama part is just an honorific and Mushi would just mean bug and no not a computer bug that would be if i am right and not that rusty in Japanese Konpyūta no bagu.

Beat Flandre in 4 tries and Sans in monthes, ok but I'm pretty sure it's not because of the difficulty, but the amount of Lifes, Bombs, and even Replays.
@Donhimesama Daifutari In my experience No Hit Sans was way more doable than a LNN. I had done a No-Healing Sans on my channel before (I got hit like 4 times and scratched 3 times excluding the bones menu attacks because it's impossible currently with my laptop's keyboardfart), it took me only 2 days with probably about 100 attempts at most considering gibberish runs, and that was when I was sick! Recently I managed to pull an ExNB on LoLK Extra, it took me like 9 days and over 350 attempts (counting the gibberish runs), and even in the video I would have been dead at the survival spellcard if it hadn't been for an extend at the end.

Prince Serenity If you don't have experience with these type of games, why do you play advocate to the idea you can move to one place and beat the level? Trust me it isn't as easy as finding an exploit or weakness in a NES game by sitting in a corner. One slight move up down left or right and you're dead and you've lost your no hit one life playthrough. Play it, then come back. Personally, I thought the last stage on Ikaruga on hard was tougher than this. Switching between shields every split second was a fucking nightmare.

Some of those final attack patterns are absolutely impossible to avoid.

It's funny how ever since I started playing Touhou and became good at it, this right here became alot less intimidating to me (I assume it's still hard as hell though, but I'll stick with Touhou, just because it's alot more beautiful :P)
In my case this video was actually not the reason I started playing Touhou. I started playing it because I discovered a really cool game, and the people who made that game also made a Touhou bullet hell game. And that's when I started trying out the actual Touhou games.
I agree. At least half the time I can see a spot where it is possible to fit within a reduced hitbox, even in God Mode...
To be fair though, they probably give you less resources than in Touhou, and I bet that makes the game a headache...
I've beaten Touhou 8, 10 (the cheap way) and 14 on Lunatic. 13 I could've totally beaten on Lunatic by now, but Level 1 is such a pain that I rarely get through there deathless (I'd prefer the first 2 levels to be deathless)
Level 1 is harder because Yuyuko gets 4 health bars, while Kyouko gets 3 (although her mid-boss spell card is luck-based for me) and her spell-cards aren't that hard to deal with. Also, the reason why I find Ten Desires so annoying to beat on Lunatic is because even though the game is generally easier, lives are alot less plentiful

Nah. Try searching Inbachi. Shes a boss from another game made by the same people and she beyond takes the cake. Its been around for nearly 5 years and no one has beaten her legitimately yet.
Actually the hardest boss is TLB from Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu. It legitimately cannot be killed without credit feeding.

Not sure why some are saying sans is hard, this is way way harder having played both games. Can't even survive one attack all the way through from this boss on ultra, but can beat sans without using items now (not good enough to win without taking damage yet though)

You're kidding right? As someone with some pretty good experience of Touhou and the difficulties, this is WAY harder than anything in all of Touhou, even WITH an ultra patch. Saying this isn't hard is like saying jumping off a skyscraper wont kill you.
Honestly these games really aren't that difficult. Your average SHMUP is usually more difficult than any Danmaku because they tend to be more random. This is mostly just memorization of patterns.
That's basically what danmaku is, but the challenging part is memorizing this patterns and how to avoid them unscathed. Also, keep in mind that whenever you want to play the game in the video, you have to pay money. So your getting better, but you're shoveling money into their pockets.

And if you die from a boss the first time you're facing he/she/it you learn the pattern of how the boss attacks. Not to mention the lategame/endgame. When you have good gear you can pretty much kill anything without a problem

The player however focuses his sight on visible patterns, safespots and his hitbox, not the bullets themselves.
Hina Face Yes, i slightly did take that in consideration. But we have both to agree that a lot os patterns mixing themselves up, in high speed, are indeed perceived by our brains as "mess"...
... also, being capable of recognize these safespots while keeping his attention in the moves of the boss, his own moves and still predicting "clean areas" produced by the crossing of the bullet patterns - is amazing... see?

You see, Touhou is not as overrated as you put it. I personally dislike how people generalize communities up with just a few comments on opinion and not fact. Weaboos and wannabees, ah man, you see, the majority of Touhou's fanbase is from goddamn Japan, and the American part, I don't know how it started at all. Touhou is meant to actually be possible for the casual player, or on easy at least, with pattern-like designs.

That is just a cover up for when you can't show facts. I agree with the difficulty of this game. Though Touhou is easy, it can prove a challenge to newbies.
And Touhou 15 seems to be a boost up from the rest now that it is out, as it has people aching to beat some parts of it, say Clownpiece for example.

The fanbase I have seen is mainly and purely civilized in Touhou, while the other 10% are probably trolls, fanboys from America (no offense Americans), or probably are addicted.
