It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. On one hand I envy you the opportunity to be out grayling fishing I'm not certain I would want to spend too long out in the river on such a cold day. Living in Essex we don't have much grayling or even river trout waters. but I have some competitions coming up in April and May on the Tees, the Dee, the Tummel and the Ure, May your line ever be tight. Best wishes, Iain Fraser.
I have the whychwood drift 9” 4wt. Its great. It’s got a delicate presentation but decent enough power and isn’t soft and sluggish to cast so I can still cast a small streamer or light indicator rig. Will definitely be interested in hearing about the updated versions.
Great to hear you enjoy your drift, Luke! As soon as it's ready to go, we'll get a review of the new nymph rod out. Deffo want to use it plenty more first, though. Keep an eye out on the channel!
Hello. Andy got one question about douglas sky g #4 - did you found this weight ok for average european trout? Not too weak? Im struggling about #4 or 5 - not sure whitch one to pick

Thanks so much Iain! It takes a certain type of character to enjoy these days, I've probably got a few screws loose!
Looked beautiful. Nice video some nice fish. Well done Andy
Thanks so much, Nick! I think I've only just warmed up 😂😂
Excellent video mate, absolutely stunning
Thanks so much! It's definitely worth getting out in those conditions, the place looked so amazing
Great video as usual Andy. Thank you.
Thanks so much, it was great to be out, that's for sure!
Another great video, need to get some winter grayling booked.
Thanks so much, Guy! That sounds like a great idea, maybe not next week though, we're in a huge flood here now!
lovely to see you out on the river Andy little pink grub works a treat bet your hands were freezing!!!!
Thanks so much Kathy! It took me a while to warm up, that's for sure!
@@IBandAndyFishing I bet it did take a while to warm up some nice grayling though
Top work there Andy. You reckon there’s any pike in that lovely beat. Had a chuck the day after you on the other bank to no avail.
That was great as always thanks Andy. I’m champing at the bit to get out myself but hopefully next Friday
Thanks Phil, hopefully it comes good!

Racking video, Andy. It’s all about expectations-I’d be very happy with those few hours on the river! 😂👍
Thanks Robert! You know, it's funny, I got back and told IB I thought I'd only caught 6 fish in total, I was a bit surprised myself in the end 🙈😂
@ some people are just never satisfied! 😂
I think the cold must have got to me 😂😂

Great video Andy, who makes the jacket you’re wearing as I’m after a top layer to wear over fleeces ??
thanks so much Marc! That's an old Simms Guide model. 2021 I think. There's so much good clothing out there these days!
Looks lovely but it's flipping freezing good video
It wasn't a warm day, that's for sure! Thanks Stephen! Do you go out when it gets super cold?
@IBandAndyFishing Yeah I make sure I've got lots of layers on so I can take some off If I get to hot
Good man, that's the way to do it. That definitely wasn't an issue on this session!

There was plenty of power in the butt section of that rod for sure, you'd be fine with everything but the very largest trout in the world 👍
@@IBandAndyFishing tyvm for help
Could have taken the dog with you.....
She wouldn't have done much swimming in that water!
@@IBandAndyFishing you would be surprised!!!
Great video. I’m away to scope out the shop and see if I can select a few early Xmas pressies for myself 🫡🤫
Cheers Daryl, hope Santa finds something for you!
