1:02:04 I switched from my earphones to a Bluetooth speaker right when Nate asked, “how much would you win with $10?” and I listened to several seconds of silence before I realized that my phone had paused the show. I just thought everyone was quietly doing the math in their head. It just seemed normal for this podcast and that’s why I love it!

By far, this episode is the best Dusty episode. The way he said “don’t drag gourmet into this” had me tearing up laughing. His input and wild stories carried the whole episode. I have never related to someone the way I did when he said he loves to sit in a car and smoke a cigarette. That is usually what I’m doing while watching the podcast. 😂 I love you guys and this show brings me joy every week! Thank you!

The “Stealing first” story is one of my all-time favorites. Now that we have this first-pitch gem, I think it’s about time for a documentary about Bluster’s sports career. Here’s to hoping we get a 30/30 or something… maybe with Nate narrating? It’d be gold Jerry, gold!
Thanks for all the laughs folks!

This episode brought back so many memories for me. Like Brian my first car was a Nova but mine was a '72. I had it to drive in the winter and had a '74 MGB for the summer. I worked 3 jobs in high school to pay for them. One winter the radiator on the Nova had some big issues and so we got rid of both cars a bought a new, reliable '87 Mercury Lynx with passive seatbelt restraints. I thought they were the coolest thing! As an adult I switched to Saturns until they stopped making them. Now I drive a golf cart, I mean, Prius and I love it. Take care Bears, and thank you for making me literally laugh out loud every week! Jeri Reichanadter

I’ve followed Nate on social media for the last couple years and actually saw him here in Des Moines in January. But I’ve only been listening to the podcast for a month or two. I wasn’t sure how I should start episode one? What about the current episode? Should I start with a current episode and then go to episode one when I’m done with it?
I want to be able to discuss the current episode with my daughters. Literally the other day I sent her a text that only says “Milky Way” and then I was shocked at her response that yes, she agrees with Aaron. Thank you for helping me figure out after 28 years that my daughters favorite candy bar is Milky Way if you gave me 10 options to pick her favorite that would’ve been number 10! I was definitely taken back by this is new information. On a positive note I’m no longer concerned that I am over involved in my adult children’s lives. Another text I sent her shortly after that was “ENOUGH”. As soon as she got her three year old twins to bed, she called me to discuss AARON telling the person in front of him ENOUGH at the comedy show. Y’all are a true blessing. The world needs more comedy.
We look forward to seeing AARON and Dusty this fall (I have the dates on my agrarian calendar),at the Des Moines. Funny bone.
Love to all of you 😘

    Hey Folks!
Nate! I am a big fan of your stand-up and was excited to find Nateland, I highly recommend letting people know you have it. I have been a fan for years and did not know, found it by accident. I have been watching/listening for the last couple of weeks and am enjoying it so much.
Thank you, Nate, Brian, Dusty, and Aaron for all the great and funny conversations. I am consuming the show daily, it brings such a fun and entertaining part of a highly stressful job, I work in Disaster and Emergency Management. Dusty has a great joke on surviving a Tornado that I came across on Instagram, so funny and absolutely accurate.
Brian is great at letting comments just slide off his back without getting upset, good job Brian. Senior Citizens have babies, seems like a great joke there, congrats Brian.
I have so many questions and comments but I do not want to write a 1,000-word comment post. I would love to be a guest host on the show and have an episode where I would get to just ask you all questions and visit with you all. I would jump at the opportunity and come to Nashville and it would be an experience of a lifetime for me. What do you think?
Thanks again, I appreciate all the fun conversations, truly a fun podcast.
P.S. - I think the length of the show is great.

My wife and I got to go see Aaron in Bristol last weekend and we had a blast. Even got to meet with him after the show. He asked the crowd what the little clapper board they use on a movie set before filming a scene when they yell “action” was called and I told him it’s a slate. I don’t know why I knew that but seemed right at the moment. To my relief I did research this after the show and I was right! Great show Aaron and Zac! I hope you’ll be back in Bristol in the future. And if you all wanted to come to a race here in town, I can get tickets through my work and I’d love to host the Nateland crew!

Hello Volks!! We had a Dodge Caravan with one sliding door in the late 80’s/early 90’s then upgraded to a Plymouth Grand Voyager with TWO (that’s right 2) sliding doors!! My dad also had a vanity plate that read “5 ARROWS” on the vans to let people know he had 5 kids and his quiver was full…like in the Bible. Our group text between us 5 adult siblings is called 5 Arrows still today. 😊

Alright and my first car was a 95 Chevy Corsica. It had many perks but the best was that the windshield water fluid squirted no longer worked so I had filled up an old Dawn dish soap bottle and would crack the window down to squirt the fluid to clean the window. Fun in Chicago winters

In 2001, my brother had a Pontiac 6000LE that would randomly honk its own horn. We drove it to college from Michigan to Minnesota with a horn that would just blast without notice or the ability to stop it, driving down the highway for 14 hrs. We were starving mid-trip & looking for a fast food stop. Out in the middle of Minnesota there weren't many options. Then the horn blasted and a Taco Bell sign was off to the side. We like to think the old 6000LE helped us out.

Ooo I saw Dusty’s clip about sinking the car as a baby on instagram and you all talked about drinking as a baby. And had to share my story.
I was with my parents and my 20’s talking about how I never had alcohol and they said, well except when you were a baby.
Apparently my dad who was left with a teething baby called his mom to see what would help. Her response, “just give her a little brandy.”
My dad took this as give her a shot of brandy.
So at around 6 months I was passed out drunk.
I asked my parents, “what happened when you took me to the hospital?”
They said, “oh we just let you sleep it off.”
Eldest child and from the 80’s, I’m thankful I made it out of their house alive.
But I guess I did stop crying 😂
    Love you guys!

Hey bear! This is for Breakfast.
My daughter likes to wiggle and move when I’m putting her down. It can be frustrating but I have found that if I hold her and slow dance she will relax and lay her head down.
    A bottle helps.
If she cries, I have found that changing scenery helps. I will just pick her up and move around the house. Nothing stimulating, just some movement.
    All the Best!

My first car was a light blue 1993 Subaru Legacy that I called baby blue. In college I went to unlock my door and the key just snapped off inside the door. I stood their dumbfounded and had no idea what to do. I don't remember how we fixed it but I loved that car - it last me for years. Best $700 I ever spent!
I once got pulled over for speeding/wreckless driving in high school. The cop didn't give me a ticket, he just asked for my moms number and called to tell her I was an idiot. I would have rather had a ticket than going back home after that - smart move by that cop!!

My first car was a 1978 Oldsmobile 98 Regency. It was a two door tank. We were heavily influenced by the car movies of the 70s and 80s (Smokey and the Bandit, Hooper, and by TV shows (Dukes of Hazard and Chips) so we routinely would do burnouts and drive on dirt roads slinging gravel and dust everywhere. By the time I started college in 1992 I had beat the snot out of it. The headliner was gone (it sagged so I just ripped it out), it had a dent in the quarter panel, ran on 7 cylinders and smelled of the 1970s. I learned how to fix a lot of things because of this car. In fact it is the first vehicle I added a sound system to and tinted the windows. It had a 403 cubic inch engine and sucked gas and oil like a fat kid at a chocolate fountain. I have had 14 cars since and now drive a BMW but I still remember my first.

My first car was my parent's old dented Brown Caprice Classic Station wagon. I was a freshman and our high school newspaper did a "worst" and "best" car in the parking lot article. So I sat on the hood proudly in the front page photo next to Riley Troy's brand new Honda civic. That was a rough year. My car lasted till senior year though and was voted most reliable in the yearbook.

I still have a 1988 crown Victoria classic. Square body, the most comfortable bench seats ever, V8 engine, suspension floats like a boat, has ashtrays and lighters built into each section of the vehicle for all 5 passengers. Amazing and fun to drive...but she sure guzzles gas like no other...but it is funny to see older people's reaction when they think im a cop car, but then realize that old crown Vic's haven't been in the police force for decades and decades now😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hello Nate, Aaron, Burn Bag and Dusty. I loved this episode. I am an AUTO CLAIMS ADJUSTER for a large insurance company. "Totaling" a car depends entirely on the cost of repairs vs the value of the car and the state you are in. Most states are around 75% of the value but a few are at 100%. That is why an older car with minor damage can be a total loss and a newer car with heavier damage is not. Also on seat belts the National Highway Safety Admin estimates that seat belt usage reduces front seat deaths but 45%. And Saturns have one of the worst side impact safety ratings of all time. Those door panels were and fenders were mostly plastic which is why the gas mileage was amazing but also why the broke when you leaned on them. I do find it hilarious that Dusty loved these cars so much when they were named after a planet he may or may not think exists. Love you guys!

Not my first car, but a car that my dad bought for my brother and me in high school was an old cop car that he bought at a state auction. Specifically it was a 1999 Crown Victoria, it was still painted black and white, had a working spot light and the big metal hooks on the front. One of my brother and mine favorite things to do was park where a cop car would logically park and watch people slow way down as they drove past us. When I was a junior in high school I got flagged down by someone. I stopped and got out of the car and they proceeded to ask if I was the sheriff, despite me being a junior and high school and dressed in my school clothes. It had a trunk that would fit at least two full grown adults. My brother and I loved that car and were super bummed the day the motor went.

My family car was a Mazda hatchback, that was a stick, which we had to hold the clutch in andnpress the break with our heel while tapping the gas with our toes to keep it running when at stop. The turn signal lever was missing so we had to use our pinky to turn them on, and often times the wipers would turn on while turning. This was the first car I drove and what an experience. Talk about distracted driving!

Dusty, I was also a Buick LeSabre driver. I was 16 and I was also pulled over all the time! I was questioned as if I stole the car. My grandma from Michigan was the previous owner and I live in Texas. So, they didn't like that. I also, had an officer come up to my car with great caution like I was going to shoot him when I rolled down the window. I was going a little over 20mph in my neighborhood. The farewell to the Buick was when I totalled it in a fender bender... lighting a cigarette...

    Dusty is not alone!
When my Wife and I were first dating she told me the shockingly true story of the time she lost control of her parents Toyota camper van and drove it off a levee road straight into the river. Somehow she managed to keep the van upright and just before it disappeared into the Delta she was able to squeeze out of the drivers side window that had been malfunctioning the week before. The officer that showed up on the scene was surprised to see that she made it out alive since most people either crash into the orchard on the other side or they flip upside down in the river and get disoriented. After listening to her tell that heart pounding story over the phone it made me realize just how close we were to never meeting and how good she is at hiding evidence.

My first vehicle was a 1989 GMC Jimmy StarCraft Edition 🥰 I got it in the year 2000 (the year I graduated….) The Jimmy looked identical to the Chevy Blazer but you didn’t see as many of them. That’s why I liked it! I don’t like to be like everyone else!
Love the podcast and all of you!! ❤️ Stay funny!!

My first car was a Mazda 626 too. I lost driving privileges at 16, being an idiot. Also the car ran hot and my mom drove it to my uncle's house in the country, who's a mechanic to replace the catalytic converter and parked it on some dry leaves. Within minutes the car went up IN FLAMES...Should have taken her driving privileges lol love the pod keep up the great work fellas. And s/o to "Barnum and Bailey" for reading all the comments! I grew up in Phoenix , Arizona. Similar to Dusty, in high school (2014) I drove a ‘95 Cadillac that required me to keep a 15-gallon water cooler in the trunk because it would overheat every other day in the summer. Even though I felt like a big shot driving a Cadillac, pulling over on the side of the road in 110-degree heat to pour water into the radiator with my friends in the car made me feel as worried as Buick Bates.

Loved the breakdown about cities in Georgia sharing names with international cities. Once I traveled to Europe and told friends of mine I was from the US and from a city named Dublin… Dublin, Ga. They got a kick out of that because my accent certainly didn’t sound like it was from Dublin, Ireland

My first car was a 90s Geo Metro that had been my mom's. She had put hot pink EVERYTHING on it (windshield wipers, fuzzy dice, etc). I ran that car as hard as those 3 cylinders would go. I also worked at a chain auto parts store through college. Being a girl working at an auto parts store in a small southern town, you learn really quickly (1) the real names of parts and (2) the art of sweet sarcasm...

When Nate was talking about being asked if he was Connor McDavid reminded me of the time I flew to Germany. I wanted to be comfortable for the 11-hour flight so I wore my Joe Mauer jersey. Once landing in Munich I had a family come up to me with pen and paper asking for my autograph, my 5'9" and 240lb build is far from Joe's which made for a confusing yet funny experience.

Just want to help out Dusty real quick. You can find the tire pressure of your car if you just open the door and look on the inside panel. There’s a label on the part of the door that you can’t see when it’s closed. Usually about 32psi.

My first car was a 1981 Isuzu imark that my dad bought for $250 (I graduated in 2005...) I never knew if it would start after school every day and would often have to use the phone in the school office to call my mom to come save me. One day I called my mom because it wouldn't start only to find that I never put it in park 😂 eventually the ignition was so bad that my dad had to permanently hotwire it and we only used the key so the steering wheel wouldn't lock. Exciting times

While in college, I worked at Starbucks for a bit and we had a running milk crate gag. We got our milk delivered in crates and the empty crates would always be stacked up pretty high in the back after a delivery. The gag was, while taking a customers order one of the guys would go to the back and knock over all the crates making a huge crashing sound and usually let out a painful whimper of some sort. The person taking the customer's order would yell to the back, "Are you okay?" Then the guy in the back would say. "I'm ok." Then the person taking the order would look at the customer and say. "He's ok" and go about like nothing happened. The customer reactions were varied. I have no idea why we did that. You guys ever have running gags at your former jobs?

    Hello folks,
A few episodes ago, y'all talked about Chat GPT writing comedy bits in people's voices. I got curious and had Chat GPT write a bit in Nate's voice about what he would do for a Klondike bar. This is what it gave me:
You know, people have a lot of crazy ideas about what they'd do for a Klondike bar. I'm watching these commercials and they've got folks hanging off cliffs, wrestling bears... I'm thinking, "Man, is this a survival show or an ice cream ad?"
I mean, what would I do for a Klondike bar? I'd probably go to the store. Maybe. But only if there's no line. I mean, have you ever been to a grocery store on a Sunday? It's like a scene from 'Mad Max'. People scrambling for canned goods, elbowing each other for the last loaf of bread. You'd think the world was ending, not just the weekend.
But hey, let's assume I've braved the chaos. I've made it to the ice cream aisle, and there's one last Klondike bar sitting in the freezer. I reach out to grab it, but just as I do, this little old lady comes racing down the aisle on her electric cart, eyes set on the same prize.
Now here's the dilemma: I could probably outrun her, but there's a code. You don't mess with the elderly. Especially when they've got a cart that could take out your ankles.
So, what do I do for that Klondike bar? I let the old lady have it. Then I buy an ice cream sandwich. It's like a Klondike bar but easier to eat, and nobody's asking me to fight a bear for it. Now that's a win in my book.

I have two middle names. My mom told me she thought there would be other Paul Michael Muellers in the world.* Therefore, I was given the name Paul Michael Edson Mueller (Edson was her dad's name not to be confused with Edison the inventor). Everyone else in my nuclear family just had 1 middle name. Although there is a seriel killer named Paul Mueller, a professor at my alama mater whose emails I sometimes recieved named Paul Mueller, and many people on Facebook named Paul Michael Mueller (or similar variations), I am the only Paul Michael Edson Mueller I've ever found. Great job mom!
I married a girl who has two middle names (a practice common in her family), so all of our kids have two middle names too.
Our last name is pronounced "Miller" just like the former third basemen of the Red Sox. I won't expound into the linguistic resoning for this being the correct pronunciation, but it was cool to have MVP Baseball pronounce my created player's name correctly. Don't worry Nate, we'll still turn around for "Mewller."
    I'll go proofread this now.
*Mueller (Or Muller with an umlaut) is the most common last name in Germany.
