I met Stephen in Vegas before Nate's show. I flew all the way from North Dakota to see him. He was in the crowd before the show just meeting people who came out see his son, and he was so proud. He chatted with people like they were all long time friends of him, such a kind man. Forever solidified me as a fan of Nate, but the Bargatze family as a whole.
If you're not subscribed to Nateland you’re missing out on a rare bright spot of 2020. Nate is fire, AA-Ron’s laugh is contagious, and Balsamic is less worried every episode. Keep up the great work boys.
Nicole’s Butcher here. I don’t condone what she said. I’m only a Butcher and I thought it was weird she wanted me to post on TH-cam. Is this how you heckle in a pandemic?
Hello Folks! I am a mailman in a small town of Oklahoma and need this podcast more than once a week and the episodes to be longer! Keep up the good work! And can we just get an episode of Bush's Baked Beans being mean to Nate? He deserves it.
I love how Nate looks like a combination of slightly embarrassed, still proud, kind of unimpressed, and totally satisfied all at the same time. It's actually kind of precious. This was a great episode!
I would watch a whole other podcast called "Nate reviews movies" Inception - "It's about dreams and people who are sleeping" 6th Sense - "That's about a wife who's not talking to her husband" Titanic - "A bunch of people go on a vacation"
Hey Nate! Your Dad mentored me at “It’s magic” in hermitage and made a huge impact on my life. Loved this episode and would love to see more with him as a guest!
HELLO FOLKS! I just wanted you and Aaron and Beethoven to know how much I appreciate your podcast! Im self-employed and build cabinets for a living. I love listening to you guys while I work. Its not heavy or stressful. It’s perfect! I find myself laughing out loud by myself in the shop. It reminds me so much of hanging out with my buddies, talking about nothing. My sources tell me that there are so many hilarious nuggets! Thanks again. Keep up the good work!
Sarah P. here. I actually married a Miller, but kept my last name since I'm just a 2nd generation Greek American (and my siblings have only had girls that may wanna take their spouse's name one day), and I like my name. Have to say, Nate's Dad is a national treasure. He comes in with his dope necklace, roasting Brian and Aaron. His joke about Aaron's shirt especially landed after Aaron's post apologizing to his fiance for his wrinkled shirt the other day. Great podcast, fellas! 😂
I love that Nate's biggest problem with Go Set a Watchman was that is was a bad book name. Y'all should do a podcast that's just Nate rating works of literature based solely on their titles. Also, I'm a student at Mizzou and I listen to this as I walk on campus and people look at me like I'm crazy because I'm laughing so hard as I'm just walking around. Love this podcast, thankful for the laughs.
The amount of abuse Beverly takes from Nate is impressive. Every week I’m curious to see if he’s had enough and quit the show but he’s always there ready to take more abuse like a champ! Love the podcast keep up the great work!
I really like Nate’s dad. He comes across as a genuine man of God first and foremost. It’s great how he’s so excellent at what he does with magic, though I think his craft may not be his primary definer. I get the sense that who he is as a quality man following God may be what’s most important to him. How great to have him on the show.
I have a new favorite Bargatze. I'm a pastor and Stephen's story about the lady who colored her hair at the church had me rolling. I'm definitely finding a way to work it into my sermon this week. Thanks for the show. I love it.
Hey guys, Fantastic episode! Thank you so much for having your dad on. It is so refreshing to hear and see a true expert with vast experience act as an enthusiastic ambassador of magic sharing stories like this. Such a refreshing change from what you see so often today - a bunch of goofballs googling and reading off Wikipedia. Thanks again and hope to see more of Mr. Bargatze on the podcast. I really enjoy the show and you, Aaron and Brunch do a fantastic job. My girlfriend and I have tickets to see you in Cleveland. We can't wait. Excellent job, fellas. See you soon. Danny and Anne.
I'm catching up on all the Nateland Podcasts and this is one of my favorites. Fascinating! Nate obviously gets his genuineness and humility from his Dad. I'm now going to search for Steven's magic online.
i laughed so hard in the previous episode when nate was doing the "hello folks!" not. i've never heard him laugh and be so expressive. i laughed as soon as he started the episode that way.
I train at a Muay Thai gym in Nashville and have started saying, "Hellooo Folks!" every time I walk in. The confusion and uncomfortableness of the team makes me laugh every time.
As soon as you started with “Hello folks!” you had me laughing loudly out of the gate. It’s the perfect call back to last week and I hope it becomes a staple for the podcast.
Steve's Zingers: 43:05 - Brain has a hobby 43:57 - scape goat Brian 46:34 - Headliner: Brian 46:59 - Captive audience 58:42 - Aaron's special education 58:58 - Baptists don't play cards 59:22 - Nateland outlier (Aaron) 1:05:15 - Neutered shirts 1:29:11 - Bonzo The Dog🐕 1:33:00 - Always have an out 1:33:23 - When to know you've made it Easily most enjoyable episode! We know exactly why Nate likes to pick on Brian and fictitious people everywhere. We also see where many of the Nuggets come from. Mr. Bargatze must be the most expensive magician in the world right now. Bravo!
Good to see Nate and his dad share so much in common like making fun of Ben. Also, Aaron went into that magic trick like Nate goes into reading comments... a hint of misplaced confidence and a loose grip on the where things are going. P.S. Bert is more of what I pictured a magicians son to be like.
So what you’re telling me is, Bazooka has killed a guy AND almost incited a prison riot with his comedy?! Keep up the great work guys. Your podcast has really eased my mind in these last few days, thanks for being so genuine and funny!
Best episode yet, can’t wait for part 2. Be careful if you are thinking of buying your dad a new Cadillac, there is probably a “Jack Clampus” waiting to get your dad voted out!! You’re a good son!
I was just thinking to myself how I enjoy this podcast for it's easy going mellow vibe. As I went to post a comment about Nateland having a positive and calming effect on me Nate begins reading other viewers comments stating the same opinion as I was thinking. It's nice to hear others enjoy a relaxing hang with a few good guys. Stay with it gentleman, just put in the time and the population of Natelandians will grow healthy! Peace and love
Haha the red jokes made my day. The nickname Red Beard came from my five years spent in the Florida Department of Corrections and I laughed hysterically that a guy who weighs about 130 lb laughed at me who announces where he is performing at any given time. Great stuff Nate Aaron and Bianca.
Steve was great and when he made fun of Brian for not knowing how to shuffle because he is Baptist, that was the funniest. Please more Steve and Brian episodes.
Nothing pleases me more than Nate reading comments or anything really. Watching Bookstore and Aaron slightly wince without interrupting while Nate tries out multiple pronunciations is a beautiful thing. Also a true test of patience. I don’t know how you do it guys.
Brian Bates you have a very sweet demeanor and I, for one, love it! You can tell that Nate-dog really values your friendship by how much he rails on you
Instead of saying “hey guys” in my work meetings I now start off with “hello folks!” Its currently an inside joke with myself... but It’s definitely gonna be a thing I look forward to Wednesday’s thank you guys for being entertaining interesting and personable. It’s also cool after having listened to your comedy for the last five years to finally “meet” your dad and see some of his magic. This might be my favorite episode so far. You guys are the best, also peep my TH-cam pic it’s from when I saw Nate and Barley in Orlando a few years back
Nate’s dad is the best. I have actually seen him live more times than Nate because he would come do magic at my middle school and high school every year. Love the podcast guys
Liked hearing Mr. Bargatze; loved learning more about Nate solely through his reactions to his father...feigning not being bored during stories he’d likely heard 100x, re-engaging when Dad threw in a magic-to-comedy reference or literally threw to Nate for a trick reveal. Basically, it reinforced how much Nate “know his role” and made me so excited for when Laura comes on and watching his response.
I think Nate just found his extra 5 minutes for his show. Peanuts and Coke, Chips and a Sandwich, Car Keys and Mountain Dew. Love the Podcast, keep it up y’all!
During the comments portion of each episode Nate is always reacting to what he is reading, clearly for the first time, whereas Billygoat Banks just nods along, seemingly indicating he is the sole prepared participant of this podcast...
I think the first episode Nate told Bon Bon he's in charge of the social media stuff and to Bon's surprise lol. But I also think he probably knew thst going in haha I love em all.
I remember learning cursive in school and realizing that's why the Disney logo looks that way, and at the same time thinking cursive will be dead soon and I'm wasting my time.
I remember learning cursive in school and realizing that's why the Disney logo looks that way, and at the same time thinking cursive will be dead soon and I'm wasting my time.
Nate's dad performed at my high school over 10 years ago and he was immensely entertaining. It was so awesome to see him perform again when he opened for Nate at the show I saw earlier this year. Loved the episode!
9:11 - 12:21 Is my favorite moment in podcast history. So funny! Nate has some really funny ideas that I could picture being in a TV show. Hope he gets a pilot picked up!
"bartharlamoo" had me laughing out loud. I study linguistics and I love listening to this podcast, for many reasons, but observing/listening to all of dialectical (and more idiosyncratic) pronunciations is certainly one of them! Ps idiosyncratic does not mean idiot. I feel kind of cruel even putting that word in but I also think it'll be a good time for all involved
Oh, how I hope Bubbles selects this comment to be read on the air. Can you imagine the fun we could have listening to Nate read these words? That might be the whole episode.
I'm just skimming through the comments and glance to the next one to casually see you've written, "Bartholomoo" and I immediately start laughing. Like, almost going to the hospital from passing out laughing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey, I just watched some of Brian's stand up, and I now retract my previous negative statement about him presently looking just the same as he did when he was a newborn. Brian Bates is actually quite funny. I thoroughly enjoyed the jokes I just heard and watched him tell, and I will be looking for more comedy from him. Well done, Brian.
"People always say they want to know. I don't know. Some people say they don't, like, 'I don't want to know. I like not knowing.' And some people do want to, some people do want to know." - Nick BarFatSea. Can't wait for the new spin off podcast, "Breakfast with Bates." Where Brian quietly eats his raisin bran, drinks his metamucill, and whispers what he saw on his walk this morning.
Nate your Dad is so freaking interesting to listen to. I see where the story telling gene comes from! When COVID is over you guys have to promise to keep the podcast going. Also please keep the TV show recommendations coming I love watching the shows you all mention are funny like Rob Schneider‘s show. Thanks
Thank you so much for doing this podcast. I haven’t looked forward to a weekly show since cheers every Thursday night back in the 80s. Barstow will get that reference.
Long time listener, first time caller.... I used to be a Magician, even tried doing magic on stage at Spanky's, but switched to Comedy shortly after. LOL But doing magic for kids and people who are drunk, they give the same reactions. LOL Oh, and I was there the night when Nate got bumped for "Noah he didn't". I was really looking forward to seeing Nate at Spanky's. LOL
I saw Nate’s dad open for him last October in Columbus Ohio. He was AWESOME, he took a girls wedding ring and it reappeared in a gum ball machine, it was so good. Oh, Nate was also awesome, his dad was an unadvertised surprise. Come back to Columbus when you can, love your comedy !!
I love this Podcast, I'm telling my coworkers about it. I think it would be neat to make a minor change to the podcast room every episode that way we can try and spot it and comment on it. It would give us something to do during the downtime in the podcast, like when Brendel starts talking. Just kidding Brendel is great! I'm kinda serious about the idea.
Listening to nate's dad was incredibly wholesome. Also, I imagine nates worst nightmare growing up was getting called on in Sunday school to read from the book of Numbers in the Bible.
Check that deck after the trick, are there 2-3 of spades? Nate in on that trick? Great episode, loved hearing your dad comments on Magic and how it relates to the Bible and demonic Sorcerer’s, Conjurers and things of that nature that cross into the other realm to convince people that the dark arts have power worthy of invoking fear into people’s hearts to grab ahold of them and the difference between magicians who would show people that there is no real power and the Holy Spirit is the only true source of supernatural power. Amen! Praise Jesus!
Do Magician's develop an hour of material in a similar way to comedians? Or do they often stick with the same material for a long period of time? Thanks for the podcast fellas. Loving the chemistry between Nate, Aaron and Booboo
When Stephen Bargatze was talking about sorcery and demons, I noticed the number of views at that moment was 666. I immediately refreshed the page and started over...NOT TODAY SATAN! Love the show guys!
Seems all I do anymore is listen to podcasts. So happy to have stumbled upon this gem! I've been a fan of Nate's for quite a while. I'm wondering if Nate's wife gets frustrated when they argue and he continuously fails to finish sentances/thoughts? ♥️
I've done the same thing with both of my boys while coaching their teams. One Saturday years ago my oldest son hurt his foot during pre-game. I told him to just keep it moving so it doesn't stiffen up ... he went on to play 2 games at quarterback that day, then went to the hospital and found out his foot was broken!!
Well Buford about killed again! I had a work accident on Tuesday night, I took a concrete saw to the face. By the time I got out of the hospital on Wednesday I thought I'm going to watch nateland because nates dad is on it. Normally I listen while I'm working. ( not at the time of the accident) Well as soon as it started with the hello folks I started smiling and laughing and every stitch in my face from nose to chin starting hurting. So I thought laughter was not the best medicine. I gave it a few more days to heal and I had to stop again due to pain when your dad took the shot at Bryan. Maybe I'll try to listen again once I'm healed. I hope me not listening to the next few won't hurt the ratings to bad. Can wait to heal and recovered so I can listen again. Keep up the good work.
Nate looks like a guy who would have a wii tennis tournament for the neighborhood kids and lose Everytime. Breakfast looks like he hosts a book club for older women and Aaron looks like he can't wait to strap on his overalls and till up farmland. Thanks for the pod
I would be curious to know the crossover among people who want to know how tricks work and read spoilers. I personally belong to both categories. It was such a treat to see Nate's dad at the show in Knoxville!
The way Nate, Beelzebub and Aaron all give full attention to Nate’s dad is amazing. You can tell there’s respect there
If you're not subscribed to Nateland you’re missing out on a rare bright spot of 2020.
I doubt that will be the last name he butchers
Yes. You are only allowed to heckle by proxy now. No person to person heckling is allowed.
I came to the comment section searching for this 😂😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
Hello Folks!
Bates could never be an escape artist, his assistant would constantly pull him out of the trick when they saw how worried he looked
I would watch a whole other podcast called "Nate reviews movies"
Inception - "It's about dreams and people who are sleeping"
6th Sense - "That's about a wife who's not talking to her husband"
Titanic - "A bunch of people go on a vacation"
Cool Hand Luke- "A nice young lady washes a car"
🤣
That’s great man!!!😂😂😂
43:05 “80% of our members are just hobbyists ... kinda like Brian’s comedy.” 😂 😂
I laughed so hard at that as well!!!😂😂😂
Brian looked like he was slapped in the face by that
I’m at 38 minutes lol
Hey Nate! Your Dad mentored me at “It’s magic” in hermitage and made a huge impact on my life. Loved this episode and would love to see more with him as a guest!

this podcast summed up in one office quote: “sometimes i start a sentence and i don’t even know where it’s going i just hope i find it along the way”
also you said my name in one of the past episodes and i choked and died
You nailed it, you are so right! 🤣
Sarah P.
It’s the little things, like Nate trying to pronounce Barthlolamew, that make this podcast amazing.
Preciate you reading my comment on the show...and ripping up my name. My heart goes out to you Breakfast.

I feel like Steve is harder on Brian than Nate is.
@@arthurnewman8435 Except Steve is joking, Nate isn't lol
Thomas Abebe I kind of have a feeling Steve isn’t either lol
Breakfast is the best
I love when Nate’s dad roasts Bedpan but calls him by his pseudo name Brian. It makes the roast hit so much harder
Please go back and watch how pleased with himself brakepad was after Nate told him good analogy for the last 5 lbs. reference.
It was the first time Nate has ever said anything nice to me.
I was just about to comment on that. Good job BB!
16:11
Biscotti had a good analogy and Nate noticed, love to see it.
Ha ha! That was a true look of delighted shock from Brian when his comment wasn’t immediately shredded and instead was appreciated.
I love it.
Steve Bargatze channeling his best inner Don Rickles. The way he lays into both Brian and Ashton is awesome. Legendary 😉
Hey guys,
Fantastic episode!
Thank you so much! This was by far my favourite episode. Bless you all. Cheers.
Bagel with the early slam "yOu DoN't EvEn KnOw WhAt CoLLeGe iS" BOOM!
We're gonna get a lot of positive feedback in the comments from that one
I'm catching up on all the Nateland Podcasts and this is one of my favorites. Fascinating! Nate obviously gets his genuineness and humility from his Dad. I'm now going to search for Steven's magic online.
i laughed so hard in the previous episode when nate was doing the "hello folks!" not. i've never heard him laugh and be so expressive. i laughed as soon as he started the episode that way.
Mr. Bargatze should be the mastermind of your bank heist. Who better than a master of misdirection?! (love the podcast, fellas!)
Nate's dad telling Acorn he wasn't really sure who he was in the group....THATS GOLD JERRY!!! GOLD!!!
I could listen to Nate’s dad talk all day! Thank you Mr. Bargaze
Steve's Zingers:

58:58 - Baptists don't play cards
59:22 - Nateland outlier (Aaron)
1:05:15 - Neutered shirts
1:29:11 - Bonzo The Dog🐕
1:33:00 - Always have an out
1:33:23 - When to know you've made it
Easily most enjoyable episode! We know exactly why Nate likes to pick on Brian and fictitious people everywhere.
We also see where many of the Nuggets come from. Mr. Bargatze must be the most expensive magician in the world right now. Bravo!
Another quality episode! Nate’s dad is the best!
Good to see Nate and his dad share so much in common like making fun of Ben. Also, Aaron went into that magic trick like Nate goes into reading comments... a hint of misplaced confidence and a loose grip on the where things are going.

I don’t care how funny you guys are, nothing will be more entertaining than a Krispy Kreme donut eating competition
Awesome podcast. The chemistry between Nate, Aaron and Batman is hilarious. Keep up the great work.
Best episode yet, can’t wait for part 2. Be careful if you are thinking of buying your dad a new Cadillac, there is probably a “Jack Clampus” waiting to get your dad voted out!! You’re a good son!
I cried the whole episode cuz nate and his dad are so sweet. ❤
Your dad is awesome dude! Thank you for letting us get to enjoy him
I was just thinking to myself how I enjoy this podcast for it's easy going mellow vibe. What a guest who actually knows about the topic of the podcast? Really enjoyed hearing all the stories
Nothing pleases me more than Nate reading comments or anything really. Watching Bookstore and Aaron slightly wince without interrupting while Nate tries out multiple pronunciations is a beautiful thing. Also a true test of patience. I don’t know how you do it guys.
Nate ans his dad have an identical laugh! Amazing 😂
Brian Bates you have a very sweet demeanor and I, for one, love it! You can tell that Nate-dog really values your friendship by how much he rails on you
this has been my favorite episode. make stephen a regular!!
Your dad seems awesome, fun to see a combo of the grandpa from Munsters and Farmer Fran from Waterboy mixed into one magical being.
Instead of saying “hey guys” in my work meetings I now start off with “hello folks!” Its currently an inside joke with myself... but It’s definitely gonna be a thing

Hello from Puyallup, WA, near Mt.Rainier! Best birthday present is to listen to your podcast! Thanks guys for so many laughs!
Ahhh.... Beautiful country up there!
.....if you can get passed all the dead horses.....
I think Nate just found his extra 5 minutes for his show. Peanuts and Coke, Chips and a Sandwich, Car Keys and Mountain Dew.
Love the Podcast, keep it up y’all!

As a kid, I tried to reconcile how I knew Disney was Disney but still knew the Cursive D on the logo was a G. Weird times
I thought it was the Aladdin lamp. Makes more sense it’s a D.
I remember learning cursive in school and realizing that's why the Disney logo looks that way, and at the same time thinking cursive will be dead soon and I'm wasting my time.

Best way to wake up every Wednesday!
I’m late to this party podcast (3yrs) lol….i just love Nate’s Dad ❤ he is so entertaining 😂 love me some Nate toooo 😊
Nate, YOU are awesome. Looking forward to your SNL gig!
Loved this episode! Definitely bring back your pops for future episodes.
lol good ole vanilla Dan Soder just buying a “pack of jeans” ,as Nate calls it apparently, is hilarious 😂
9:11 - 12:21 Is my favorite moment in podcast history. So funny! Nate has some really funny ideas that I could picture being in a TV show. Hope he gets a pilot picked up!

Kramer and Morty comparison is the BEST!!!❤
Thanks for having your dad on. He is wonderful.. super funny! I met him after your show in Vegas. Thanks for the stories
Nate your Dad is so freaking interesting to listen to. I see where the story telling gene comes from!
When COVID is over you guys have to promise to keep the podcast going. Also please keep the TV show recommendations coming I love watching the shows you all mention are funny like Rob Schneider‘s show. Thanks
Nates dad was a great guest. I love that making fun of Bosco runs in the family.
When are we going to see the Krispie Kreme donut challenge?! Such a tease in that episode😆
Noooooooo no one should ever eat doughnuts, especially so many. yikes
Found this on episode 19 and thats something i wont forgive myself for any time soon. This is the perfect 👌
LOL
But doing magic for kids and people who are drunk, they give the same reactions. LOL
Oh, and I was there the night when Nate got bumped for "Noah he didn't".
Nate's dad is like a mix between Oakerson (crowd work) Blaine (showmanship) and Vos (delivery?) 🤣 Love you guys
This podcast really helps break up my work week, you guys are awesome! Go easy on Barnham though, he looked extra worried with the Big Bargatze burns.
I loved the original intro music so much more than the new one
I love this heck heckin podcast. HECK
Listening to nate's dad was incredibly wholesome. Also, I imagine nates worst nightmare growing up was getting called on in Sunday school to read from the book of Numbers in the Bible.
Check that deck after the trick, are there 2-3 of spades?
Nate in on that trick? Great episode, loved hearing your dad comments on Magic and how it relates to the Bible and demonic
Sorcerer’s, Conjurers and things of that nature that cross into the other realm to convince people that the dark arts have power worthy of invoking fear into people’s hearts to grab ahold of them and the difference between magicians who would show people that there is no real power and the Holy Spirit is the only true source of supernatural power.
( not at the time of the accident)
Well as soon as it started with the hello folks I started smiling and laughing and every stitch in my face from nose to chin starting hurting.
That was an absolute blast.
I can only imagine how worried Brick must have looked with a room full of prisoners.
Nate looks like a guy who would have a wii tennis tournament for the neighborhood kids and lose Everytime. Breakfast looks like he hosts a book club for older women and Aaron looks like he can't wait to strap on his overalls and till up farmland. Thanks for the pod
Bahrain looks like the Wii character that Aaron would pick to use at Nate’s neighborhood Wii tennis tournament
"There's no reason to he polite to a magician." Is a great quote bahaha
Hey Nate, how come you follow Brian on Twitter but not Aaron?
Also, an episode on social media would be quite hilarious.
Magic... found Nate from the relationship between his dad and my uncle (magicians) .. I think magicians raise a special breed of people..
wow. really great stories. very interesting. !!!
Nate's dad has the cutest voice 🧙🏻♂️
I would be curious to know the crossover among people who want to know how tricks work and read spoilers. I personally belong to both categories. It was such a treat to see Nate's dad at the show in Knoxville!
